Muslims really need to rethink the foundation of their beliefs.

They go on as if they are on the right path ,but all we hear about them is death & destruction. . .Allah Akbar !

This is one of the major reasons why I dislike the word "religion". It has done more harm than good to this world, especially to 3rd World countries. I believe there is God but I just hate that word called religion. Worship your God in your homes and don't disturb others with it or try to force others to believe your God or worship like you do. If I have the opportunity, public practice of any form of religion is what I will first ban.

The perspective depends on how you know Islam, you only hear try and read, dont be told cos some might just fabricate a story to deceive the other, Allahu Akbar means Allah is the greatest, it is used to praise our lord.

Why bring Muslims into this? Was it Muslims who organised the bomb blasts of 1st October? No. It was Xtians. Forget about Hausa Ibo or Yoruba, Ijaw, Fulani, Berom whatever. The point now is that " It does not matter who is right or who is wrong. What we should be looking for now is Whta is the Right thing to do"

And by the way. The way I see it. The root cause of the problem is INJUSTICE that came from lying and cheating. Let the descendants of the brother who lied and cheated come out and apologise. Readr Genesis chapter 27: 29 and Genesis chapter 27:39-40.

The same lieing and cheating happened in Genesis 22:2, Gen 22:12, Gen 22:16. God asked Abraham to sacrifice his ONLY SON? At what time in history , at what time in the universe was Isaac Abraham's ONLY SON?

All the problems of the world, of Iraq, of Criminals (Europeans) going to a land and killing the rightful owners of the land (Apache and Sioux Indians) and turning round and saying it is alright of those same criminals who stole the land of the Indians now coming to Africa to steal the very people themselves and forcing them into degradation, and dehumanising slavery , All this comes from the lies that have been perpetrated through the bible.

One day it will end. The YOKE of the cheaters  will be broken,

Genesis, Chapter 27
039: And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
040: And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

yeah u are making a point. it is uncalled for for twikiwiki or what is his name to attribute the incident to muslims. and for him to call our religion a violent one he must be out of his sense.
Re: Bomb Blast In Jos by dSolution1: 11:34am On Dec 25, 2010
At what time was Isaac Abrahams only son. There was only one time in Abraham's life that he had an ONLY SON. At that time it was Ismail who was his son. The cheaters changed the bible so that they could get away with their cheating and lieing and stealing and deceit.

The bible even says it that not everything inside the bible is the truth!!!

Check Jeremiah 8:8. So those who compiled the bible changed things to suit themselves. Isaac was never Abraham's ONLY SON. Ismail  was Abrahams only son for many years. And the pastors and liars will say that Ismail was the son of a slave, a bond woman.  And so? Ismail was the son of Abraham from Abraham's wife. Even if she started as a slave she ended up as his LEGAL WIFE. Isaac was never , can never and has never been Abraham's ONLY SON. Correct that lie and see how PEACE will come to the world.

Qur'an 3:104 Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong:

Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba, British, or American, French, Iraq, Iran, Muslim, Jew, Christian or Sabean, we are here for a purpose and it looks like we have forgotten that purpose,

The Qur'an teaches us in Sura Al- Hujarat 49:13 that

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). Holy Qur'an 49:13

You are behaving like The Ostrich, When it sees trouble, it hides its head and buries it in the sand, it thinks it is safe, but its body is exposed and it becomes meat for the lion!!!

God has told you to "Do unto others what you want done to yourself, If you violently steal a man's inheritance, he is going to violently steal your ability to enjoy that inheritance that you stole from him,

Nigerians this is not about Muslim or Christian, or Sabean, or Jew, , it is not about Hausa or Ibo, North or South, it is not about PDP or ACN, or CPC it is about standing up to say NO to INJUSTICE, LIES, and DECEIT. Nigerians lets accept our differences. They were made by God. Let us try to understand each other and respect each other and, Give back what is due to whom it is due!!!

Christmas paganism

Leaders of some of our Christian denominations are celebrating Christmas when they know that it is a pagan ‘christianised’ feast. It is a bad doctrine, which has become embraced by their followers who find it difficult to reject the celebration.

The celebration holds on every December 25, as the memorial of the birth of Jesus Christ. But December, though the Bible does not record the date, month and year Christ was born, is the period of maximum cold, heavy rainfall and mountain snows in the land of the Jews, and shepherds do not go to the fields outside the village guarding their flocks of sheep at night (Luke2: 7-17).

The celebration is not from the Bible and their authorities do not want to reveal what led to the feast to their followers. It is bad.

In Genesis 10:9, mention is made of Nimrod, ‘The mighty hunter before the Lord’. This was the beginning of the son of the pagan sun god themes, which became the mainstay of early pagan religion.

This pagan god was originally an indo-Iranian cult god who later became known as Demuzi, or Tammuz of the Babylonians who was to become the cult god, mithra for the pagans.

The pagans regarded Mithra as their lord of light, truth, integrity, and the god of solemn oaths and contracts. This cult was for secret males only, leaving the women with ishtar, the virgin ‘Queen of heaven’, and their moon goddess to worship.

Plutarch, a Greek historian (46-125) says: “ The cult god, Mithra was brought into Rome by pirates from a cilian clan in eastern turkey.”

In 67B.C, the Mithra worshippers held their first convention led by Roman commander, Pompey. It became the soldiers’ god. December 22/23 was regarded as time of the Mithra’s yearly death since this was the beginning of the winter solstice and the sun’s weakest point.

Since the sun then returned and became stronger after that, the pagans took it as the sun’s ‘rebirth’. Consequently, the pagans declared December 25, a few days later to be the Mithra’s birthday.

In ancient Rome, a week before December 25 was a week of celebration while presents were exchanged. The Romans called this period ‘saturnalia’. The Encyclopedia Americana (1977 Vol. 24, P. 299) says: “During the saturnalia, feasting prevailed, and gifts were exchanged.”

A Christian can give gifts at other times or as often as he wants. December 25 was the most important date on the Babylonian calendar year.

Later, this became ‘Christianised’ to be Christ’s birthday during the era of Emperor Constantine shortly before his death in 337A.D.

The authority of the Christians in Rome was seeking his consent before any doctrine was made and also he was introducing doctrines to them. A man who ‘repented’, but remained unbaptised and did not go to worship with the Church for over 25 years after he introduced fetish doctrines and guided discussions for Christianity.

Does it not sound funny?

The Encyclopedia Britannica says: “One widespread explanation of the origin of this date is that December 25 was the Christianising of the dies solis invicti nati (day of the birth of the unconquered sun), a popular holiday in the Roman empire that celebrated the winter solstice as a symbol of the resurgence of the sun, the casting away of winter and the heralding of the rebirth of the spring and summer.

The Encyclopedia Americana says: “The reason for establishing December 25 as Christmas is somewhat obscure, but it is usually held that the day was chosen to correspond to pagan festivals that took place around the time of the winter solstice, when the days begin to lengthen, to celebrate the ‘rebirth of the sun’.

“The Roman saturnalia (a festival dedicated to Saturn, the god of agriculture, and to the renewed power of the sun), also took place at this time.”

You see the two Encyclopedias are pointing at paganism.

Such festivals usually included licentious behaviour by their participants, who engaged in unbridled and riotous merrymaking. Significantly, that behaviour has been the characteristic of Christmas celebrations today.

The Christmas celebrants say, because the ‘Christianised’ pagan festival has become a part of them, it is very necessary to commemorate Jesus’ birth. But Jesus said: “You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you,” (John15: 14). Jesus also says: “If you love me, you will observe my commandments (John14: 15).”

Clearly, there is no better way to honour Him than to learn and follow his teachings instead of celebrating a pagan festival in the name of celebrating the birth of Christ.
