Lagos does not need another port. There is congestion in the city. The Yorubas with the military leaders then worked to close down the Sapele and Warri ports, infact they made it virtually impossible to revive those ports with their sentimental politics. If Nigeria has a major port in Warri, Sapele, Bayelsa, Calabar and Akwa Ibom and they are fully functional this would lead to decongestion of the population of Lagos and it would spread the development across the nation. Not to mention, the ports in the southern part of the country are Freshwater Ports and when ships dock, they don't corrode easily.

The Port of Abidjan is located in Ivory Coast and it is West Africa's biggest port. Even apapa port is not deep, this is the first deepest in nigeria

If you were sensible, you should pray the federal government of Nigeria to do same to states other than Lagos.
If you were sensible, you will know this is a State Govt project, not Federal government. undecided

Stop misinforming yourself, especially on a subject you're ignorant of. The project is private sector driven and the only thing the FG ( NPA) has in the project is an equity interest.

my hometown is where the port is located, but the government need to widen the old ibeju-lekki road (eleko-folu exp rd) to 8 lane because of the delivering of goods. Dangote refinery projects are using this same road & the road is really bad now, & it is the only exp road that link to the port directly.

That road isn't pad. Expansion work is already being done from after LA campagne tropicana down to Eleko .

It's little by little.

That road needs to be widened as you have suggested. It is the only road serving the Lagos Free Trade Zone, Dangote Refinery, there’s also a vegetable oil factory, many residential estates and the Sea Port not forgetting La Campaigne Tropicana. The time to start work on that road is now otherwise it will soon become a nightmare to its users

I'm not ignorant of most things I write here.
Most of Nigerian projects like roads, Ports, AKK pipeline, oil and gas, rail lines and power sector are PPP and FG pay little percentage in the projects and this doesn't mean they are not the one who come up with the idea that shape the road map of the projects because we don't have the money to fund all the projects.
So, in modern system of Govt all over the world including Nigeria this is how projects are being financed!

1 acre of land facing the express is now 30m in undeveloped area like apakin village, siriwon & igbekodo village & so on, with gazette & free from government acquisation. In developing area u cant even see a plot that face the exp, i wont lie to you. because most clients are looking for exp land to buy because of the new development coming to our land & they are ready to invest in lands buying.

How far is that axis to epe

Lagos state does not have the capacity for these things and its absolutely unnecessary. Move infrastructure and develop OTHER PARTS OF NIGERIA.

Lagos openly embraced it; Lagos even lured dangote after ondo and Ogun messed their agreement up. Don’t always blame Lagos or FG; blame the state governors who have no foresight

You need to learn to differentiate a FG projects from a State Government's projects.
The structure of the country is so messed up that FG claims exclusivity on the resources of the states. Anambra Airport is a state government project likewise IbomAir and Lekki deep seaport. Few states with profitable projections are working as hard to be reasonably self sustaining off FG's claws.
