Hello sir,
I just purchased a Passat 09 and two mechanic said it was good but while bringing it to Ibadan from abuja it developed some engine problems.
We called the seller and after a lot of fight he said he can't buy new engine but replace the affected parts like crank shaft etc .
My question can my car still function as good with the change of the faulty part.

Na God go save person from Naija used cars o.. 95% already have problems. Best thing is to buy a new engine.

The issue is you need to get it scanned, preferably vcds to get the OEM code instead of the generic, post the error codes, that way, solution comes faster and you avoid guesswork.

Good morning house. It's a nice thing I discovered this thread. I am planning to buy a Nigeria used Vento. I heard it is quite easy to maintain (cheap), rugged and low fuel consumption.pls my good people advise me. I just wanted something to take me around and not burn a hole in my pocket. Thanks a million

Use quality Engine oil for your Car engine. It is always important to use what the manufacturers have specified. To check what has been specified for your car, check your car manual or open your bonnet and it is usually written on the cap of where the oil goes into example "SAE 0W20" #LoveYourCar

if well maintained.... why not. it's true that the cost of maintenance is low.... especially the golf2 saloon car

Naija used passat i would not advice you to buy because most nigerians (i mean 95%) dont know how to take care of passat models from 2003-till date. If you dont know the history of the car and how the owner had it, do not buy!
