Usernametaken:The Nigerian system does not criminalize minor scale businesses that do not comply with taxation, therefore, business owners are not compelled to pay taxes for their employees, and the embassies know this: and as an employee, they do not consider you a corrupt worker. But the disadvantage is, you can not apply for a visa with such emplyment condition for reason that: A) The credibility and standard of your company can not be evaluated without tax compliance. B) Your type of employment is unofficial, having no normal contract letter outlining the details and the terms and conditions that are signed to. C) The absence of tax record |

Hello House. Please just a quick question. My sister left the UK the day her visa expired but she was stamped in the following day in Nigeria cos she boarded a night flight. Now she intends to attend my grad in UK,does she have to provide any proof of when she left UK?She is concerned cos her stamp shows she arrived a day after her visa expired. Any advice please? |

Hi, I'm a doctor applying for my PLAB visa. My issues are 1) I quit my job a month ago, but have all my payslips & bank documents. How do I go about filling up the employment column ? 2) My parents are in the UK & my dad's work visa expires in about a week. His passport is with the home office for ILR processing ( he should ideally get it in a few days). But since my exam is quite near, I've got a cousin to sponsor me. How do I present this fact ? Given these difficulties, please help me tackle this rather complex issue. Hindsight, I should not have quit my job, but my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer last month & since my father could'nt make it, I had to quit my job to support her. |

docharry18:Your profession is good, but your circumstances are unfavorable. 1) You can not fulfill the employment aspect because, you are unemployed, but yet, that does not disqualify you from getting the visa. 2) Your cousin is not eligible to be your sponsor, this aspect will disqualify you. |

nonoski: methinks its totally unnecessary......my visa was issued within 4 working days and i didnt even do expedited visa, premuim lounge is different from expedited visa...the lounge is like a vip lounge just like in airports you pay 2 to 5k to stay in the vip lounge.....and not in the common area with odinary peeps :0 total waste of money for me, but i aint a vip...............if u r a vip or celebrity or gat the dough.feel free to pay...i doubt it affects the visa outcome in any way |

I got this email from Sheffield this morning. How do I get a cheaper contact in Abuja to change my damaged passport. And what is the implication on my visa decision : message---------------- The photograph on the biodata page of the passport you have provided with your applicationĀ is damaged. Your passport will be returned to you via the VAC in Nigeria. Please obtain a new passport and arrange this to be sent back to us via the VAC in Nigeria. We will be unable to make a decision on your application until a valid passport is received. Kind regards, Sheffield Visa Section |

When I hear people say "Business Registration Documents" I get confused, is it not only one Document? The CAC certificate, is there any document apart from it? |

Please Help! My daughter and I both have visa so I applied for 6mths for my son you didn't have because I didn't have enough money. He has been given the visa today but now I want to reapply for a 2 yr visa even asap even though he is yet to make his first trip. I want to do the 2 yr because u don't want to very soon go through application stress again. 1. Can I reapply for 2 yr on top of the 6mths he is yet to use? 2. What reason do I give for the extension? I will appreciate you advice. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by pato231(m): 8:49pm On Feb 27, 2015 |
Shedhann:My advice is,you better make do with the 6months and apply for 2 years after it expires, your desperation might lead to the existing visa being cancelled,as you just want to give the visa officer reasons to doubt your initial application. 1 Like |

justwise:Thank you very much I have registered on the Teleperformance Website and i chose that my passport be returned to me by courier #9.95 GBP (N 3,200). Please i just want to know how to upload the remaining 3 of my family members details on the teleporfomance website but can't find where to. Do I have to registered each of them with different e-mail addresses or is there a way i can upload the remaining 3 applications so that the Passports can all be treated together/returned together via courier. Thankz |

Vicjustice:This is the reason many people don't like asking questions on here because instead of trying to help someone that kindly asked for it,you start judging. I didn't know its a crime to ask a question on behalf of a friend, have seen many do that on here and that's why I decided to give it a try .But since you wanna play detective, I'll let it slide.
