I'm beginning to agree that we naijas are indeed cowards.in most other countries a national revolution would long have taken place.but a few hold us to ransome in Naija.what We need are courageous men and women .boko haram are also cowards.go face the Naija army and stop killing xtians and innocent Muslims.terrorism is hard to fight Even the Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq have had a hard time. How much more a redundant Naija system. Its really time for that Snc or a referendum. Obviously Boko haram is just out to give Jonathan a hard time.if they want an allislamic country the only way is to declare seccesion.they should be bold and do that.what is their goal eventually? . |

loadux: this is so sadSo sad. We are in difficult situation. People should also very careful and try to save guide their lifes. Our security also hang on our necks. I think attending church service in BUK was not save enough. They should have gone to protected church in the city. Or they should have arranged for proper protection in their university church service. |

payless: If Boko Haram problem is what will open dilusional Nigerians to open their eyes and see they made a big mistake voting Jonathan as President, so be it. This will ensure the next election will not be based again on ethnic and religious bigotry, but competency. I don't agree with everything Buhari did when he was in power, but compare to what is going on in the country today, it is exactly what is needed to get Nigeria in the right direction again. Is GEJ the one dropping the bombs? What makes u think Buhari would have done better? If Islamists bombing cannot be stopped in Iraq, Afghanistan, where superior skilled and equipped security forces exist, why expect the Nigerian Police that has been bastardized for years to fix this? The only difference Buhari would have made is that his Muslim brothers wouldn't have been bombing their own states. They are apparently doing so now because GEJ won. |

Once again, RIP brethren. Hear the wailings of parents, siblings, husbands, wives, children, relatives, friends etc. New members have been recruited for the impending showdown. Slowly but surely we are heading there. Arm yourselves oh simpletons for the hour has drawn near. FG CANNOT protect you. It is not GEJ's fault; no president from the south can stop bh. The watchdogs are about to be exposed- their inherent bigoted loyalty. That will be the final blow. GEJ learn from Aguiyi Ironsi. SNC now or catastrophy. The Arab styled revolution cannot happen here no thanks to mutual suspicion. Is this empire really one? |

aiks-n-effects: The bottom line is that, Jonathan is unable to step on toes of the Boko Haram sponsors. He knows those who are sponsoring these Boko Haram fighters and he's clueless about what to do. That shows how inept and incapable of facing the most important issue facing Nigeria. In a civilized society, Jonathan would have stepped down and let someone else do the job. |

We are running out of comments for this situation that we find ourselves and I feel the government too is also fast running out of ideas. The only way to get out of this mess is to come together to fight terrorism. The christians, Muslims, the northerners and the southerners inclusive. We all need to put pressure on the government and the security agencies to wake up and be up and doing about their duties. |

TroGunn: Don't forget that Boko Haram started their killings after Yar'Adua came to power. They did not start killing people because Buhari lost the election. Fact! I don't buy into Boko Haram are killing people because Jonathan won election. May be Jonathan emergence possibly escalated it. Buhari was the achitect of the security apparatus that crushed the Ayamatasin of the early 80s. He singlehandedly crushed those terroists of those days that created mayhem in Nigeria. Ask those who were old enough in the 80s about Ayamatasin warriors that were killing Nigerian the same way Boko Haram of today killing us. The Ayamatassin were Hausa and Fulanis, Buhari killed them all with bullets and intelligence. |

Some of us are very much aware even before the 2011 ekections that the Jihardists will do whatever they can to cause chaos in Nigeria if one of there own does not win that election. Those of you who think that GEJ is the problem are actually ignorant of the complexities of the misadventure of the whiteman called Nigeria. In Islam, politics cant be seperated from religion and it is a taboo for a non moslem to lead moslems. Sure, if Buhari had won that election, there won't be bombs in the North not because Buhari would have stopped them, but rather Boko Haram would have accepted him as a leader. On the contrary, the violence in the South South would have continued. There is no end to this except we all accept Islam either by force or by will or, we must rise up now and unite against them. 3 Likes |
