Marry the person you sincerely love from your heart, I meant he or she you love not for beauty or material. Don’t marry someone because you sympathized with the person. While in marriage and enjoy it to the fullest, have it behind your mind that, it might end one day, if it does, don’t kill yourself, life must continue. Be truthful, if you are in love say it and if there is no more love say it.

Politics / Past Report On Femi Fani-kayode by Elmos: 5:33am On Sep 06, 2014
This report has been on for a while, but it worth reading over and over again. I am just Copying and Pasting, read on

In March 2003, I was dispatched with another SSS operative on VIP protective duties to Femi Fani-Kayode. It was our understanding that the Director General of the State Security Services (herein referred to as DG SSS) was responding to an assassination attempt on Femi Fani-Kayode who was then a member of the Obasanjo-Atiku campaign organization.

Within weeks of this assignment, Femi Fani-Kayode elected to retain me as his Chief Security Officer (C.S.O). From my background in the SSS, he was aware that I was decorated as OVERALL BEST IN UNARMED COMBAT in my 2000 training cadre, proficient in weapons handling and marksmanship and was twice a security detail to the erstwhile Akwa Ibom State Governor, Obong Victor Attah, and had a record of very challenging operations and assignments I had excelled at in the past.

He was also aware that as a VIP protective detail, it was my supreme duty to ensure his protection and that of his family even if it meant at the expense of my life. This is a professional creed that I uphold as a protective security detail, but in Fani-Kayode’s thinking, this meant ABSOLUTE LOYALTY TO HIM. How mistaken he was.

A few weeks into my service as his C.S.O, things started unraveling one after another. I discovered that the story of an assassination attempt on him as published in the print media was a hoax. It was contrived by Fani-Kayode with the assistance of his friends and contacts in the media. It was his intention to attract President Obasanjo’s sympathy to provide him with elite state protection. Femi Fani- Kayode’s insatiable desire for power was to manifest in much greater magnitude, as I was soon to realize.

Fani-Kayode was later to make a written request to the Nigerian Police. After making calls to the Police Headquarters at the highest hierarchy, the then Deputy Commissioner Operations (D.C OPS), Lagos state Police command, Mr John Haruna, was directed to approve Fani-Kayode’s request for high police protection. Subsequently, mobile policemen were assigned to his residence on shift duties.

Even prior to getting both SSS and police protection, Fani-Kayode was obsessed with personal security. His previous security consisted of four security men (known in Nigerian parlance as‘mai-guards’) of Niger Republic origin who manned his heavily fortified gate; two young daytime security hands courtesy of the Odua People’s Congress OPC (who later withdrew their services in protest); and about nine viciously trained guard dogs that were released on patrol only after midnight.

With this ‘absolute loyalty’ misconception in the mind of Femi Fani-Kayode, next came the task of understanding his thought process. His propensity for violence, his ill temperament and impulsiveness were unrivalled by anything I had ever seen before. Cooks, cleaners, cab drivers, stewards, laborers, craftsmen and employees who dared to ask for their unpaid wages or requested to leave his employment, were thoroughly brutalized by him. In addition, these domestic staff were routinely arrested and detained by the police on trumped up charges ranging from stealing, spying, to posing a ‘security risk’ to Fani-Kayode.

Right inside his physically well-fortified abode, I witnessed the most horrific and bizarre aspect of the man’s twisted mind: torture sessions, which he personally carried out on individuals in his premises. One of the victims is Atkins Fani-Kayode, his biological older brother, a London trained lawyer. Atkins Fani-Kayode had remained a prisoner under Femi Fani-Kayode’s tyrannical imprisonment since 2001, locked in his younger brother’s dingy boys’ quarters and tortured on a weekly basis. Atkins was heavily monitored on a round-the-clock basis and denied access to the outside world. His life, freedom and dignity were simply snatched away from him.

Femi Fani-Kayode would occasionally allow his brother to visit his main living quarters to watch his interviews on national television and interact with his guests. But Atkins’ occasional visits to the main house were done under the strictest and most stringent guidelines. Femi always warned him beforehand to watch his comments. Often, Femi would say, “If you make one stupid comment, I’ll skin you alive.” The trepid gentleman knew the harsh consequences that awaited him if he erred by speaking of his captivity.

On numerous occasions Femi and Atkins Fani-Kayode’s sisters would telephone from London and ask to speak with Atkins. Before Femi handed the phone to his older brother, he would order him, under duress and threat of torture, to speak in a happy tone and to respond in monosyllables to their sisters’ enquiries. He was ordered to state that he was doing okay and that Femi was taking good care of him.

As I write, it is uncertain if Femi did not eventually kill Atkins. I often worry that Atkins Fani-Kayode might have been tortured to death. But if that kind, intelligent and peaceful gentleman is dead, I pray that someone somewhere will ask a court to cause for his body to be exhumed from wherever it has been buried, be it in Nigeria or Ghana (where Femi Fani-Kayode has considerable business investment and had planned to banish his elder sibling to). The least that will be discovered is a couple of broken bones or a cracked skull, even though I am most certain that an autopsy would have already been manufactured, to state the cause of death as an ‘ailment’ or ‘natural’. The full story of Mr Atkins Fani-Kayode’s journey into his younger brother’s (Femi Fani-Kayode) captivity is yet lined up, for another day. 2. How many times were you banned for trying?
At times things work the way you never expected it to work. Some years past, a lady was pestering my friend for card, and to stopped her some random digits were string together and sent to her, and amazingly she called back that she has loaded it, and when we technically asked her the amount, she confirmed #1500, we were shocked! Since then, it never worked again. I later started thinking was she equally paying us with trick too, till date no answer to that question and there was not other information to the contrary.

If am given the mandate, I will generate about 100,000 job because of TB JOSHUA. I will tell you again this, don't ask me my source for I will not reveal it at this time, T B Joshua was in United States here about two months ago, for the first time, and for only four days, he came to convinced several industrialist who are member of his church to come and invest in Nigeria, and for sure HE had the ear of Uncle Obama. dryakson: Good day nairalanders,
I posted how 800,000 naira was deposited into my account from an unknown person last week and the advices I got from my fellow nairalanders inspired me while some is the other way round.. Who no want money, I like it too but the consequences that will follow is the Wahala.. Lol.
I went to the bank and asked for my account break down and the consumer icare lady break the account details including the last deposit of the 800,000 naira without any suspicious from her... Happy happy...
I asked her for the phone number attached to the teller that sent 800,000 naira last week and she did I thank her and went outside the banking hall.
I called the number and a female voice pops out of the speaker she asked who I was but I ignore her question and ask her if she made any deposit of money last week, but said NO.... ALERT! ALERT!....
2 minutes later she called and said her husband who is currently in USA sent money to his brother's account here in Nigeria before his journey last week and that the brother is also in USA with him according to her the brother (account owner) will be back to Nigeria in 1 week time, I also asked if she received any alert about the money with her number but she said she don't know why she stop receiving alert... ......... She was alerted too.
She asked if I was a banker but I said no, I asked her to send me her husband number but she hang the call.
5 minutes later a foreign number came in I assume it to be the depositor calling with USA number.
He asked who I was and how I got his wife phone number, I narrated how the money was sent to my account and how I got his wife's number. bla... Bla..... Bla
According to him, the teller is with him in USA, I returned to the bank and tell the lady all what had happened she was amazed at how my names as well as the account number is thesame except the difference of one number which is 7 in mine and 2 on his brothers own .
The manager arrived and ask the depositor to scan and send the copy of the teller for verification. It was concluded that the money was for him.
The manager thanks me and introduces me to all the workers including the people inside the bank as a loyal and a good Patriotic Nigerian. According to the manager I made a good decision of reporting to the bank unlike other people who will withdraw and spent the money and later paid and charge for fraudulent.
In the other hand, the wife, her husband and the owner of the account thanks me then asked the manager to leave #20,000 while he transfer the remaining #780,000 to the other account, he promised to be calling me anytime.

What surprises me was how two guys from the banking hall curse me and my entire generation for returning a huge amount of money worth 800k. according to them, I should have withdraw the money and Run to outside country, I laughed and go my way.

I have no regrets what so ever
And if you were in my shoe, what will you do in this situation?

Let's hear your say

I once had the same experience at UBA (then STB) NNPC Ejigbo branch, but mine was in Dollars, $99,000.00 and it was done at a time I was seriously broke, my friend whom we were in the bank together that day, encouraged me to withdraw $2000 to test it, I said no, but asked that my statement be printed and right there in my account was a balance in excess of $99,000, I knew I never paid that amount into my domiciliary account, I told the bank manager that the money was not mine and told him what was mine, few weeks after they told me that they discovered that their computer was the one credited my account, simple error from computer. That singular act boost my relationship with the bank.
Food / Re: Is Palm Oil Really Bad For Your Health? by Elmos: 8:59pm On Oct 18, 2013
Rubyventures: A couple of years back, I watched a documentary on CNN, stating that the highest rate of heart disease in the world, is in a small town called Abraka, situated in the old Bendel state. I don't know if there is anyone here is watched or heard of this documentary. After much investigation and reading, it occurred to me that the problem is from the high consumption poly saturated fats. The source which is Palm oil, which is consumed in very high quantities in the delta areas. ( Banga soup, Owo etc.)
Palm oil contains dangerous fats and should not be consumed in high quantities. After all the gruesome images in that documentary I stopped taking foods prepared with palm oil. At first it wasn't easy but I am so used to it I don't miss it.

I think Palm oil should be used for more commercial purposes: like soaps, creams etc. and internal consumption should be restricted.

As a rule of the thumb, any oil that congeals in the bottle I don't consume, I've tried getting my folks to give it up and I understand that it is impossible especially when you are used to it.

Is there any one here who thinks otherwise or has a similar experience?

What frightening people about Palm Oil is the issue of Cholesterol. There two types of Cholesterol, good and bad Cholesterol (LDL and HDL). Cholesterol is a type of fat found in human body. The total cholesterol includes LDL (low-density lipoprotein) and HDL (High-density Lipoprotein) cholesterol.
LDL is called “bad” cholesterol because it can build up in the walls of one’s arteries and form plaque. Plaque build-up in the arteries can reduce blood flow and increase ones risk of heart disease.
HDL (high-density lipoprotein) cholesterol is also known as good cholesterol because it is thought to help remove bad cholesterol from the body.
Nevertheless, research has shown that PALM OIL does not contained the bad Cholesterol.
Palm oil is produced from the fruit of the Elaeis guineensis. It is a vegetable oil, not an animal or dairy product, and therefore does not contain cholesterol. Palm oil sometimes is confused with palm kernel oil, but in fact is different, being derived from the mesocarp of the palm fruit rather than the centre kernel.

Palm oil contains much less saturated fat than palm kernel oil or coconut oil. Palm oil has been used in food preparation for over 5,000 years. Today it is consumed worldwide as a cooking oil, in margarines and shortening, and as an ingredient in fat blends and a vast array of food products. Food manufacturers choose palm oil because it has a distinctive quality, requires little or no hydrogenation, and lengthens the shelf life of products. These advantages are difficult to duplicate at the same cost with polyunsaturated oils, which often have higher market prices and require additional processing for the same characteristics.

Even though palm oil consists of about 45% - 50% saturated fatty acid, the saturated fatty acid is made up of palmitic saturated fatty acid. Palm oil should be classified as both a “saturated fat” and an “unsaturated fat”. It contains equal proportions of saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids. The saturated fatty acids are made up of 44% palmitic acid and 5% stearic acid. The unsaturated fatty acids consist of 39% oleic acid (monounsaturates) and 10% linoleic acid (polyunsaturates). The fatty acid composition in palm oil is entirely different from the so-called “saturated fats” such as coconut oil and palm kernel oil.
In addition, palm oil is non-genetically modified and trans-fat free. It does not need to go through the hydrogenation process. In comparison, most vegetable oils (corn oil, soy oil, cottonseed oil, canola oil, etc) require hydrogenation – “hardening of oils”. The “hardening” of oils through hydrogenation creates trans-fatty acid. Trans-fatty acid has been shown to lower good cholesterol and raise the bad cholesterol. In fact, the cholesterol-raising effect of trans-fatty acid is significantly higher than saturated fatty acid. Because of this fact, it has prompted the FDA to require food manufacturers to list trans-fatty acid content on food labels soon.

The saturated fatty acids that have been shown through various epidemiological studies, to increase bad LDL cholesterol level are the C12 Lauric and C14 Myristic saturated fatty acid. These two saturated fatty acid are abundantly found in coconut oil and palm kernel oil. Unfortunately, more often than not, palm oil has been confused with palm kernel oil. Palm oil is derived from the fleshy part of the palm fruits while palm kernel oil is derived from the seed or the kernel. Palm kernel oil and palm oil are two different oils with very distinct fatty acid composition.

Palm kernel oil is used mainly in oleochemical (detergent/surfactant) industry and not as an edible or cooking oil. Palm oil, on the other hand, is used worldwide (more than 100 countries) for cooking and other food preparations. Palm oil is currently the number two edible oil in the world.

Have u ever been to nigeria and see how people are suffering?it is better to be poor in america than to be poor in nigeria .nigeria is a dead zone if you are poor.Stop fooling urself with all dis baseless observation because every reasonable youth is ready to leave dis useless country called nigeria.
There are lots and lots of wrong things in all these write-up, in as much as I know that yankee is not a bed of roses, it is not as bad as some of what people are saying here. The example of car wash is totally misleading, having a car wash here is a big business, I don't know how someone who invested huge amount of money into the business of car wash will be going home with only $2000 a month, that is practically not true, even those who work as washing hand should not go home with anything less than $1500 and for sure these are people without papers, mostly people from Mexico and some African countries not Nigerian, mostly people who come from non English speaking African countries, you rarely see Nigerian and Ghanian in this type of job.

Another guy talk about auction, with all respect, I know he knows nothing about auction, first and foremost, you need not pay any $200-$250 before you are allowed into the Auction, all you need is to properly registered and you are issued a license that give you the right to bid for vehicle placed for Auctioning.Your license could either be local or international, if you are local, you need to meet the requirement of your state division of motor vehicle rules, which are somehow cumbersome, and once you meet it, you can buy at the Auction and sell to anyone who may use it here in US or ship it to anywhere in the world. If your license is international, all you need to have is a registered company in your home country, like having any registered company in Nigeria, summit all the paper relating to the company and your national passport, once you get those stuff to the office, you are promptly registered. He equally said dealer rip off buyer from Nigeria, though I might not vouch for every dealer, but with all modesty, that is not true, if you are lucky, you can make about $1000 or more but severally the profit are far below that amount. Another impression he created or that some people hold onto is that, at Auction, vehicle are sold at give away prices, that is wrong, vehicle are sold at market prices. Also vehicle at Auction are not the rejected ones, but a place where people come together to sell their vehicle, individual bring their vehicle to sell at Auction, impounded vehicle, insurance vehicle, company vehicle, reposes vehicles all are up for sales at the Auction.

This country is a good place to be, there are lots of opportunities here, but it is not a place where you become millionaire overnight, you have to work for your money, no free cash anywhere, but if you have talent, this is the place for you, if you are intelligent, this place is good for you, here you don't need to know anyone to get government to pay for your tuition or getting loan to go to school, that your parents are poor will not stop you fro going to school of your choice if you are qualified, you need not to know anyone before you get loan to do genuine business, you need not to know anyone to get credit card, you need not to know anyone before you could asked for your right. This place is not right for you if you are coming here to do funny things, like fraud, you will not go far.

Every response to this post has failed to ask one pertinent question from Pastor Matthew Ashinmolowo, who based his assessment of another Man of God on the write-up by ordinary journalist, I guess as a man of God, that is someone who has direct link with God, he should come out and tell us what God says about T B Joshua, to know authenticity of a servant, the best person to ask is his master and not someone who is a layman in the field in question.

Till now no pastor in Nigeria has come out to say this is what God says about T B Joshua, all references are based on what someone else said about him, does it mean God has not talk to any of his men about this man call T B Joshua? For bible say men lie to another man. Or should we say our men of God can not hear God when he talk again, or should we say. They are not even know to God?

In as much as I understand your reason for saying all you said, Sincerely, I am not mad at you, at some point in the past, I would have said exact things you just said, I guess even more, but with time, and more facts and figure become clearer to me, I thereafter sees things from different angle and with an open mind, devoid of any sentiment whatsoever. Agagu might not had been a very clean person while in office, but I can say with all modesty that he was not as bad as we thought he was. He was more guilty of other sins of morality, himself and Bayo Akinnola (He died a few months ago too) the father of the present minister for Communication. But when it comes to the issue of judicious usage of the state fund, he did far more than we are ascribing to him. In Ondo kingdom (Ondo East and West) He constructed over 100 roads (within the city and adjoining villages) while the son of the soil has done nothing. He rebuilt several otherwise dilapidated primary schools to structures that are good enough for teaching and learning at a cost that vast majority of the people will see as reasonable (10million) and each one of the primary school was meant to take care of 200 pupil and the reconstruction was not only in the cities, but nearly all villages in the state benefited as much as those in the cities, unlike the MEGA Primary School built be the current Governor for 650million Naira, and slated to take care of 1000 pupil. The omotosho power Station was built during his administration, and Cassava processing factory that was meant to be processing 20 Metric T of Cassava daily was built by him, Rice processing factory was equally built. He equally helped Ondo state to tale back what has been taking away from the state illegally from the Federal Government, an action that jack-up the state earning from 68 Billion Naira in the four years of Adefarati to 320 Billion Naira during the six years he presided over the state affairs, and to the over 650 Billion that accrued to the state in the first four years of this present administration. Like I earlier said, he wasn't a saint but he applied a chunk of the state fund to the benefit of the state. I have never met nor seen Agagu all through his life time and I never belong to his party, am a card carrying member of APC but, the truth will always be truth come what may.

This is not funny, this guy was the first human being that died and I cried, I did cry for more than one month, if you just mentioned Okwaraji, tears will start rolling down my face, I genuinely admired him. He was a Doctorate student in Law when he died, the only one who was combining soccer with quality education. In the Olympic, he was the only one given the Brazilian tough time. he played with his heart. A real patriot. Sleep well Sam.

....Pastor dey play "hide and seek".

He doesnt want to be dragged into politics but what business does a pastor have spending nine days in active investigation with NDLEA?

We wouldn't expect NDLEA to be at the pulpit preaching scripture, would we? So what's pastor doing with NDLEA and al Mustapha investigation?

Do you understand what he said? He was arrested and detained for Nine days while they were investigating petition written against him, and as usual, if one is in captive, where you go and and how you go is entirely in the hand of your captor, so his Aso Rock visit was not a willing visit but a forced one, and Joseph never commit the offense he was in prison for, he nevertheless while in prison he released prophesy that concern the king, one of his staff will be released and the other will be executed, and years after it came to pass, so if Joshua did same, is that not a prove that God id still God.

Yes transformation it was! Same scenario played itself here in Africa, According to Late Magician Prof. Pella, he was in Monrovia for a show, and the head of security at the venue was Samuel Dow, who did his job very well, that was given a "dash" of about N10 then, and just six weeks later the same security guide became the country head of State
