Welcome to the club!!

Now look at your scars as the 'marks of obedience' and the next time you plan on being disobedient, thing about adding some of those scars etc. And hopefully, the thought should help put you in check.

Remember, the worth of your head to you, is directly proportional to how well you attempt to protect it so
ariblaze:

decided last minute not to wear my helmet because my house was just 'around the corner'
would mean your head is worth nothing to you wink

We all make mistakes. We live and learn. Practice what you've learnt!!

Get back on the bike as soon as possible!!

Its even easier to roll back the electronic odometer than the mechanical one. All you need are the right tools.

Particularly for Cotonou cleared cars.
Autos / Re: Fake Custom Papers; Please Help! by fotodaddy: 5:52pm On Oct 11, 2008
Alternatively, you can go to customs yourself, and pay the correct duties and have the car 'regularizes'. You might end up spending close to 200K but you will always have peace of mind after that. A friend of mine just did something like that here and it worked out OK. No there is NO SHAKING!!!
Autos / Re: Need Info On Logman-dacia-renault by fotodaddy: 1:33pm On Oct 11, 2008
I understand they have the NCAP 4 star rating (or what ever that is from the crash testers.) I understand its a Renault car (made under license by Dacia in Egypt (?) to Renault spec.) so it can be all that bad. But I guess Siena would know some more!
Autos / Re: Car Stereo Code by fotodaddy: 1:29pm On Oct 11, 2008
The code would usually be included the the handbook for the radio which should be one of the manuals in the Owner's Manual bookthat you hopefully for from the dealer that sold you the car. Otherwise radio code retrieval cost from $50 up. There are websites online that can do that for you. Conduct a search.

You might also try the Mitsubishi dealers here in Lagos and see if they can help

J,
You mean to say I've PAID in FULL. Yes the ball is now in your court. We dey enjoy for nIgeria o. Una get three days holiday for US. We got and just resumed biz.

Fotodaddy, please kindly help do all necessary as per registration. I await your response on the cost for the registration and how to transfer the money,

I mentioned to you that I dont think newer BMWs have engine numbers. We've registered several and we always leave it blank cos we can find any. (you can go on the net, to some BMW forums and try to find out.) The car registration can not be started until all the info is ready. You have to decide what you want done. Also you may mail me for the details you asked for with regards the funding etc. Usuall the number is ready the same day and the CMR about 2 to 3 working days later.
Autos / Re: Anybody In The House Tell How Much It Cost To Register A Tokubo Car In Lagos by fotodaddy: 5:03am On Oct 07, 2008
Hi! I recently registered a 4.0L jeep with 18K.

A Skoda Fabia (1.4) was also registered last month with 18K. And yes, this was done in Lagos. Papers include everything except insurance, POO, CMR, LICENSE, ALLOCATION OF NUMBERPLATE ETC

Its been a Busy day at the Port, as the First batch of our Pre Ordered Cars have arrived, We will Post the Photos Soon.

As part of our Courtesy calls to Our Highly Esteemed Clients, We Schedule Pick Up arrangements from the Airport for Our Out Of Lagos State Clients if they request for it and in most cases We offset their Hotel bills when they either don't have relatives in Lagos or they simply don't decline Our Hospitality.

Saturday 4th October 2008 was indeed a Busy day for me as i had 3 Nairaland Clients from Port Harcourt coupled with a few other  Nairaland / Off Nairaland Clients from Within Lagos State.

One of the clients from Port Harcourt Purchased the Maroon 2000 Honda Accord Special Edition this Morning and the other Purchased the 2004 Honda Accord with a Deposit and Promised to Balance up before Friday 10th October 2008, the Third I met wanted a 2001 Honda CR-v but upon his arrival, the car had been driven out to show a client and as he could not wait because he had a wedding to Attend in Lagos.

These were the 3 Clients that I was aware were from Port Harcourt and from Nairaland, Part of the few others could have been from Out of Lagos.

Back to Mr Inema,

I resumed 7.30am on Saturday 4th October 2008 at my Work Place, and the first client I had was the man that flew in from Port Harcourt for a 2001 Honda CR-V.

Up till this moment I can't affix the Car you wanted to Who I spoke to on the Phone, I've never advertised a 2000 Toyota Camry in the Past couple of weeks, so the Possibility of it being a Camry is ruled out.

I would also not Outrightly rule out the Possibility thats Indeed you came to Lagos because of Inspired, but what still Baffles are the responses that you claimed I gave you on the Phone and your Actions that elicited after the Responses.

"HE ASKED ME THAT WHICH CARS DID I SAY I WANT,I TOLD HIM AGAIN AND GUESS WHAT THIS GUY REPLIED ME?"PEOPLE ARE HERE TO BUY THEM"I WAS SHOKED because IVE HEARD SERIES OF DISCUSSION BEFORE FLYING DOWN TO LAGOS.
AGAIN I REQUESTED FOR HIS ADDRESS SO THAT AT LEAST WE CAN SEE ONE ON ONE AND MAYBE I LOOK AT OTHER CARS BUT HE TOLD ME THAT INFACT HE'S NOT SURE IF HE WILL OPEN SHOP THAT DAY AND HE NEVER CALLED BACK TILL I LEFT LAGOS"

I can't seem to Correlate these above Statements; If I would Not Open the Shop that day, Where was I attending to the Clients that wanted to Buy The Car the same time You called ? Well maybe ,

If Indeed you flew in to Lagos because of my deal, Why didnt I hear from you again until 48 hours on here after you claimed you left ? I mean you called me in the Morning, I told you i was with clients and I wont be in the office and thats it ? It really doesn't sound logical to me,

However, I would as at this time narrowly rule out the chances of your Thread being another Fabricated, Prepensed attempt to Smear My Image seeing that you registered this Username barely 1 week amidst the upheveal & bedlams created by another snafu clinker.

I received a couple of  Client Calls on Saturday Morning and I remember a Man called me that he was calling from Lagos, He inquired about a 2004 Honda Accord, I told him It was being Inspected by Clients, which happened to be the other client from Port Harcourt, the man asked about the 2000 Honda Accord I advertised and I told him its still available, and thats the Last I heard.

If That Man happens to be You, I'm Sincerely Very Sorry.

You see Most cases when Clients call from Out of Lagos to inquire about Vehicles that are not immediately Accessible to them, I advise them to commit as little as 20,000 On the Vehicle, ITS A REFUNDABLE FEE if you later come and you don't like the Vehicle. It just shows a higher level of commitment other than an Oral one.

I can't keep Vehicles because of Verbal Commitments, and I can't abscond because of 20,000 paid to hold a vehicle. Ive done it Several times and the Clients failed to show up.

As an Entrepreneur of a Profit Making Organization, I can't decline a client ready to pick up a Car with Cash on ground for a client that has only Promised to come without any financial commitment to back it up.

Its a different case if you paid to commit a vehicle and I still went ahead to Sell it to another Buyer without disclosing to you, i mean that would make a more reasonable Case against me as to

To cut all these Short,  I humbly request you Send me an email probably with a scanned copy of your flight ticket, and your Bank details if you so desire And I promise to reimburse you the cost of your TO and Fro Ticket fee in less than 24 hours.

I'm Indeed So sorry again if its a genuine case

Thank you

 cool cool

So so smooth!! So so nice!!! So so the same. So so 'as usual' Keep it up!!!

Daddy of pictures, i feel you and trust me, i think the guy has no choice than to change his ways of doing business, but everyone clamping down on him wont help either, he needs help and there is no doubt about that, i am sure he is probably one young dude thatis carried away by the money he is making from the sales.

You can take a horse to water, but you can force it to drink!! undecided

I don't know Inspired at all and chances are, i might never know or meet him, but i think the trend at which people jump into conclussion about this guy is so sad.
Yeah, he made mistakes, he messed up and all, but then, he who has no sin, should cast the first stone.
Inspired, apologize to the guy and make it right with him, and if possible compesate him with a nice ride at inspired price and move on with your business, i really think you are taking on more than what you can handle at same time, so maybe chill a little and take on only what you can handle at a time.
I know the money looks good by taking on everything, but good name worths more than gold too.

This sound so so familiar!!!!

There must be at least 10 other threads that have gone this way on NL. And with the same advice being given.

waoosa:

OK thanks. Will also discuss with fotodaddy since the engine number needs to be ascertain first. You know what I mean.

If I am not mistaken, BMWs do not have enine numbers!!!

And eitherway, you can get the engine number for the car with the VIN (from the dealer). I registered mine before it ever got out of the port. My new bike, which has not even left the states yet, already has a custom plate. No prizes if you can guess what it is!! wink

Ol boy, the picture you posted is for a Toyota not a Lexus.

As I understand it the LX470 is the Lexus equivalent to the Toyota Prado. And the pix does not look to me like that. I dont know sha but perhaps you can throw some more light.

New bikes, in my opinion is not a good business. People who can afford them can bring them in themselves. The others are looking for bargains that dont make economic sense so,

your best bet to getting what I think you want is a fairly used one from Ladipo. Or you can talk to the car dealers in America (there are quite a few here) to get one for you. Mind you I'm pretty sure the price will surprise you
