Former Goodluck Jonathan's presidential aide has vented his frustration following the mayhem the Fulani Herdsmen are causing in Nigeria and government lazy approach to the ethnic genocide going on in the country.

He said Nigeria is no longer a nation, rather an abattoir

In July 2012, clashes between natives and herdsmen reached a head in Plateau state leading to tens of deaths on both sides. Then President Jonathan, when briefed about the situation insisted that there wouldn’t be such impunity under his leadership and immediately ordered the army to go to the affected communities and fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book.

The military immediately obeyed the then president’s orders and sent troops to Barkin Ladi Local Government Area. They ordered all residents to leave their residence for temporary accommodation provided for them so they could conduct a joint air and ground operation to flush out the armed herdsmen who had been suspected of killing innocent Nigerians. The residents complied and the soldiers went in and not only did they clear the area, they made arrests which led to trials.

That is how a commander-in-chief acts. When your people are being slaughtered you don’t send them commiserations, like the frequent commiserations President Muhammadu Buhari has been sending to the people of Benue State. No. You assert yourself as the leader by using the nation’s symbols of strength to quash any threat to the national security of the nation.

That is what Jonathan did in Plateau state in July 2012. So effectively was Jonathan’s orders carried out that Malam Nasir El-Rufai tweeted his now infamous tweet on the 15th of July 2012 threatening that “We will write this for all to read. Anyone, soldier or not that kills the Fulani takes a loan repayable one day no matter how long it takes.” (his exact words).

So when he was elected governor and we began to hear him say that he had paid public monies to herdsmen to prevent further killings (there was actually a spike in killings), and that he as a governor was of the same ethnicity as these herdsmen, I was not at all taken aback as others were. The man had publicly signified his intentions long before he became governor. But the point I am trying to make is that former President Jonathan, who was called weak by the All Progressive Congress, did something to end the menace of herdsmen killings, but President Buhari who is called “strong” by his supporters, has refused to do anything.

And so today, when I read about the killings perpetuated by herdsmen in Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, Adamawa, Taraba and other parts of Nigeria, I really feel for our citizens who have to go through these ordeals of impunity. No arrests are made, no forms of deterrence whatsoever is carried about by the Buhari administration.

I heard that the Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, wept when he saw corpses of his citizens massacred by herdsmen. It might sound harsh, but can Ortom recall that only last month he smiled as he told Nigerians that President Buhari deserves a second term? My question to Ortom is this: If President Buhari gets a second term, would there be human beings left alive in Benue?

It is a fact that herdsmen belong to the same wider ethnic nationality as President Muhammadu Buhari, although most killer herdsmen are not mainstream Fulani, but rather fringe Fulani of the Wodaabe (also known as the Mbororo or Bororo) subgroup of the Fula people. It is also a fact that President Muhammadu Buhari was the grand patron of the umbrella union of herdsmen in Nigeria known as Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria.

From that vantage point, he had in the past angrily and malevolently confronted state governors in states were herdsmen had received the wrong end of the stick in their acts of marauding. As a matter of fact, on October 13, 2000, Muhammadu Buhari, in his capacity as the Grand Patron of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, demanded for and got a meeting with the then Governor of Oyo state, Lam Adesina, were he angrily said the words below to Governor Adesina:

“Your Excellency, our visit here is to discuss with you and your government our displeasure about the incident of clashes between two peoples… the Fulani cattle rearers and merchants are today being harassed , attacked and killed in Saki. That some arrests were made by Oyo State Police Command in the massacre with their immediate release without court trial. This was said to have been ordered by Oyo State authorities and they were so released to their amazement. The release of the arrested suspects gave the clear impression that the authorities are backing and protecting them to continue the unjust and illegal killings of Fulani cattle rearers…”

Muhammadu Buhari then ended his speech by demanding for an “immediate stoppage of the killings, justice and compensation to the Fulanis.” After listening to Muhammadu Buhari, Lam Adesina asked the then Commissioner of Police for Oyo state to respond to his angry visitor and the Commissioner responded thus:

“The killing of the natives by the Fulanis was duly reported to the police and, of course, we can’t make arrest because, as soon as they kill, they migrate to other areas. Who are you going to arrest? That is the problem”. On the killing of Fulanis, which he said was as result of “piled up anger”, the commissioner disclosed that arrests had been made and the suspects were in police custody.”

When the Commissioner was done, Governor Adesina responded to Buhari thus:

“I want to say also that we really have to appeal to our people, the itinerant Bororo people, that they should observe less aggression. It is not good , it is not right just coming from somewhere then you just pass through farm lands cultivated may be with the person’s life savings and then over night everything is gone. That is not right, even Allah does not approve of that. We even wonder when they talk about this people carrying dangerous weapons, I say do they really believe in Allah? When you just take life like that and go away! Are we not forbidden not to take human life? So I think General Buhari, General Marwa, you have to be educating them. It is my pleasure to inform you that at the Presidential Lodge, we have made some arrangements for refreshments so that before you go we can refresh together”.

That meeting of October 13, 2000, was recorded and the quotes above are from Agbaakin Kehinde Olaosebikan, then Chief Press Secretary to late Governor Lam Adesina of Oyo state. Now imagine the level of concern and care that President Muhammadu Buhari showed for his kinsmen in in October 2000, that he went to challenge a sitting Governor to a pissing contest when herdsmen were killed in reprisal killings. Why hasn’t Muhammadu Buhari shown that level of concern for Nigerians killed by herdsmen?

Now that same man is our President and Commander-in-Chief, and herdsmen killings have exploded exponentially under his watch to the extent that the United States Congress declared Nigeria as the most dangerous place to be a Christian in the entire world bar none, principally because of the killings by herdsmen.

Can it be a coincidence that herdsmen killings has multiplied just as soon as their immediate past Grand Patron became President? Where is the anger that Buhari displayed to Governor Lam Adesina now that Fulanis are killing Nigerians?

How many people were killed in the Southeast before President Buhari ordered Operation Python Dance? Now ask yourself how many thousands have died at the hands of herdsmen in Benue, Kaduna, Plateau, Taraba and Adamawa? The answer proves we are not all equal in Buhari’s Nigeria.

That is why I laughed when Governor Ortom said “I have reiterated my call on the Federal Government to arrest the leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore”. Why is Governor Ortom talking like a child? Can a Mafia godfather order the arrest of a mafioso to please a non mafia member? You are asking their Grand Patron to arrest the people who made him Grand Patron!

Apparently, Governor Ortom does not know his friends from his enemies.

I had to write this piece of information to know what people are going through out there and to also know what people think concerning this subject matter. Though primarily, i am really going through a rough patch in my relationship/marriage and i want to know how things are done. What is the right way to do it and what is the wrong way.

The question is: Can you work for your wife? Or work in her establishment or company?

This has been an unanswered question for years and while some think their is nothing wrong with it, others will prefer to push will-barrow instead of working for their wife. A friend told me that it is better he eats kpanla fish always till he makes it in life than to eat crocker fish and work for a woman he calls his wife. I don't know if i got the spelling of kpanla and crocker fish but i think you understand the gists.

Is bad enough to work in an environment were a woman is the boss. I mean you constantly have to be charming and don't get on her nerves because no matter how high a woman attends in life, she is still feminine and she is a woman. Little things gets them irritated and they are emotional creatures. And when you are unfortunate and you are working under a covetous one, you are in for shiiiiiiiit. Needless to point out host of disadvantages in this matter.

Before i give you the opportunity to answer this question, i will like to emphasize that from were i come from, woman will always be woman. No matter how objective she agrees to be, she will always let you know that she is your boss. I mean is bad enough that she is earning more than you, but working for her? that grose.

Anyway, am talking from experience and while you answer the above question, please also answer this. When a woman or your wife is constantly trying to mold you to work for her, what does that mean? Especially when she doesn't even support you to get a job though she have all the connections?

Make sure you state your reasons as you answer.

I'm sure by now the slogan "Police is your friend" doesn't move any Nigerian anymore. Right? Well female News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reorter, Taiye Elebiyo Edeni has been seriously brutalized by security operatives, at the venue where President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned Kaduna dry port on Thursday 4th January, 2018.

According to Daily Post, the humiliated lady reported came from Abuja to cover the event. She is the Transport Correspondent of the news agency and was duly accredited to cover the inauguration of Nigeria’s first Inland Dry Port by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The rather tragic incident happened at the main venue of the commissioning of the dry port, Down Quarters, Kakuri, ahead the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari and his entourage. The attack on journalists was heightened after the security denied them access to the main venue despite having their accredited tags.

No official reaction from the government or security agencies regarding the incident yet.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has spoken on his display during premier league match against Arsenal at the Emirates yesterday which saw him squander a one-on-one chance three times. Pundits now rating him as the worst striker Chelsea have ever had.

The striker came under harsh criticisms on social media as many blame him for his side’s draw and his name is trending on Twitter since morning. He hit the ball off target twice, while his close range effort in the dying minutes was blocked by Arsenal goalie, Petr Cech.

It's quite marvelling to see someone suffering and smiling when his right has simply been stripped off. Until we begin to stand for the truth, regardless of who speaks it, irresponsible politicians will keep making a mockery of us. Worst enough, False religions leaders also bank on that. If the government wakes up tomorrow and wipe away an entire region with flimsy reasons I won't be surprised to see Youths defending that same government.

IPOB Is A Threat To National Unity More Than Herdsmen, Lai Muhammed Tells BBC - FFK Reacts

Former Aviation Minister and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has lashed out at the minister for information and culture, Lai Muhammed for the statements he made on BBC World. Mr. Lai told BBC that Indegenous People of Biafra, IPOB posses more threat to Nigerias National Security that Fulani Herdsmen.

In Chief Kayode's reaction via his Twitter handle, he said and I quote;

Lai Mohammed told @BBCWorld that IPOB are terrorists who pose a much greater threat to national unity than the Fulani herdsmen. He is sick and depraved. Both he and Buhari will answer to God and the Nigerian people for the innocent blood that their herdsmen have shed!

Boko Haram bombs its victims whilst the Fulani herdsmen cut theirs to pieces. Dont be fooled: the same hidden hand controls the two. Who refuses to arrest Fulani herdsmen? Who said "an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on north"? Who said it was wrong to proscribe Boko Haram?

Chief Kayode made the allegation while noting that 120 innocent persons have been slaughtered by the herdsmen is this genocidal quest began.

PMS/Oil Marketers has been in loggerhead with the Federal Government over the N145 flat rate the government set on the sale of PMS. The marketers categorically stated that they cannot sell for that price because of the NNPC's quest to remove the little subsidy on PMS.

The new development today, the oil marketers have agreed with the Federal Government to keep the pump price of petrol at N145 per litre. The marketers reached the concession on Wednesday, 3rd Jan, reversing their previous stance on the pricing of the product.

The Chairman of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association, Dapo Abiodun, had on Tuesday, stated that the marketers could no longer import petrol at a controlled price of N145 per litre.

But according to Punch reports yesterday, the marketers reversed their stance at the meeting of the ad hoc committee set up by the Presidency to get the oil marketers to restart the importation of refined petroleum products. The newspaper said that a communique on the resolutions reached at the meeting would be made public soon.

It reports also that the marketers appealed to the Federal Government to grant them tax holidays and other incentives that would help cut their costs when they resume fuel importation. According to the report, four sub-committees were constituted at the meeting, which was chaired by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

A top source at the meeting told Punch that the committees included those on logistics and business conduct, adding that the agreements reached at the meeting would be relayed to the Presidency before the communique would be made public.

Heads of some parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources were members of some of the committees, according to the report.

The Former Governor of old Kaduna State, Lawal Kaita, is dead. He passed away on Tuesday aged 86. Cause of death were still sketchy at at press time, other than that he died in Abuja about 5 P.M yesterday.

A security aide at his Katsina GRA residence said family members were still being expected as at 8p.m on Tuesday for burial arrangements. Another source said the late governor is expected to be buried in Katsina on Wednesday.

Lawal Kaita was governor of defunct Kaduna State from October to December 1983. The late governor had health challenges late last year, a development which made him to be admitted at the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina, for some time.

Meanwhile, Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has expressed sadness over Kaita’s death. Governor Masari, in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Abdu Labaran Malumfashi, described the deceased as one of the most accommodating, generous and refined politicians the nation has produced.

The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday 2nd January, announced a breakthrough in the fight against the dreaded Badoo cult with the arrest of a suspected leader of the group and its chief herbalist, Fatai Adebayo alias Alese.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgal Imohimi, who led operatives to the shrine, located in Imosan Village, a suburb of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, said Adebayo, 34, administers oath on members of the group before they launch attacks.

After his arrest, the shrine was destroyed with the commissioner promising to provide more details about the arrest of the leader of the group and some other members on Thursday 4th.

Waiting time is over. Chelsea Star, Diego Costa only played for three seasons at Chelsea, but it's safe to say no one will ever forget the Brazilian-born Spanish international at Stamford Bridge following his style of play and his bullying attitude.

He was signed by Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £32 million and he would go on to score 52 league goals in 89 games to lead the Blues to a couple of Premier League titles in three years but despite his good form and helping Antonio Conte win England's top-flight title in his first season in charge, the striker was told he was surplus to requirements at the end of the season.

The fact he was told via text only added insult to injury and it made Costa's exit from Chelsea all the more messy. Chelsea were in a position where they wanted to get a good fee for the 29-year-old, but it was quite clear that Costa wanted to return to Atletico Madrid and they knew he wasn't going to play again for Chelsea, seemingly driving his price down.

However, Atletico ended up paying £57 million to bring their former hero home and now that their transfer ban is up, he is free to play for them once again. One would think after the way his exit from the club was handled, Costa might not hold Chelsea in the highest regard. That's not the case with the "bully" forward.

When he was questioned about his time with Chelsea at his Atletico unveiling, Costa said:

"I learned English there," the striker joked. "Seriously, the supporters, the people at the club and my teammates helped me a lot. Chelsea is a great club and I only have good memories." Still, that's in the past now and he is looking forward to scoring goals for Atletico again.

"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time," the Spain international went on to tell reporters at his unveiling, having not played all season. I just want to get in shape to play as soon as possible, I'm tired of training. "You can tell I've already worked and prepared well to play, I'm here to help the team and score goals."

Although certainly a controversial figure, no one can deny he didn't give it his all for Chelsea and played a major part in some of their title successes.

The Massacre of Lord's Chosen church members heading home from the New Years eve service held on 1st January 2018 to everybody in Rivers State by surprise. It was gathered that unknown gun men opened fire of them and killed more than 20 people and injuring many others.

APC kingpin in Rivers State claimed that the Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike had a hand in the matter and now, the minister of Transportation and former governor of the state, Dr. Rotimi Amaechi, has asked Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike to resign from office.

Chief Amaechi said Governor Wike has allegedly been encouraging militant groups because of politics and election, adding that it was high time he acted on the oath he swore to protect lives and property.

In Amaechi's words;

“I think the governor needs to get a bit more serious, he should stop encouraging the militant groups in the name of politics and election. You heard about 21 only in Omoku, what about in Akutoru where two persons were killed, what about other LGA.

“I think there should be much more than age to qualify to be a governor because it takes much more than age. “I was governor of Rivers State, I did not play PDP/APC politics, life is life it has no symbol. Nobody has APC life or PDP life.

“The first responsibility of a governor which is what the oath of office requires, is that you swear to protect lives and property. When you don’t protect life and property what do you do? Is impeachment. Unfortunately there is no House of Assembly in Rivers State,” Ameachi said.
