He doesn't love his wife he sent her abroad... if any woman try that with me ... na for that public I go kill am , make everybody go jail... aswear... she might be cheating on the man but will want the man to keep shut make that one no gree... a man will just wake and start beating his wife ... what she has done painting him bad makes her no difference now ... their type dey commit suicide at the end .. seen case studies...
It doesn't work like that.

Most women desire PEACE of MIND in marriage. Any man that cannot give his wife this forfeits her loyalty. Married Women on the average don't care as much as the men about sex. The case becomes even worse if the man is physically and emotionally violent to his wife.

What a man sows to his wife, he reaps in future with her

According to his wife. If so, like I said it is deserved. But just as I have never known a woman who cheats that will tell you her husband is a good man, so also an errant devious woman will not tell you her husband is a good man if her plan all along was to do away with him once he has served his usefulness. So one side of the story is not enough to judge. I lived in the UK, I have heard all sorts that Nigerian women make up because they know the law and child services will always favour them. Including women who will deliberately provoke and batter their husbands to create a scene and secretly call the police.

I am not saying that is what is going on here but I know that a lot of Nigerian women in particular marry just to be married and have kids. Once they achieve that the man starts to become dispensable in their eyes as the relationship was never about love. This is particularly true when the man is struggling financially or the woman now feels she has financial independence in which case the man has no usefulness in her eyes.

I am not saying that’s the case, Just saying one side of the story is not enough to judge. But like I said, if her version is true, he deserves it.

What she did was to counter his version though. It was the other side of the story she tried to tell in case he got sympathy that he didn't deserve, though I think that kind of revenge is just too much.

Its good to hear from both parties. The woman in question gave a reply as to the circumstances surrounding her actions.

The woman's story shows why he was treated that way. Deceit isn't right though.

Most of those who "cautioned" the man not to allow his wife to go for the job in the UK did so out of fear that the marriage may not be well and that she might use the opportunity to escape him in the end. undecided

Yes, I know. What I was pointing out, obviously, was that the man had really no need to worry about his plans unless of course he is also like the man in this story. Then, he might have something to fear about (if his hands are not clean).

hmmm All i am saying is I dont expect a woman who did that to her husband to say otherwise just like a cheating woman always says her husband or boyfriend is a deadbeat...even if he isnt. Have you ever met a woman who wants to cheat and says her husband/boyfriend is a great guy…how would that make her look? they (women up to no good) have to paint a bad picture to justify their actions...therefore a woman saying her husband abuses her does not mean it is true....it doesnt mean it isnt either.

If it is a lie, then I am sure there will be counter-stories flying around. Plus, that allegation is weighty. One does not lie that she was beaten while heavily pregnant. And believe you me, a woman doesn't forget, no matter how the man believes that he has been forgiven.

I am not in disagreement with you except that I reserve judgement until I know the story from both sides. I know the capacity of some women to be manipulative and I know the capacity of some men to be cruel and abusive to women.

I know a married man that maltreat his gentle wife. He even beats her occasionally.
One day, I the wife would have the opportunity of freedom. Your advise would be that she doesn't take it.

I know another man who is bedridden for years now. Unfortunately, while he was strong healthy and working, his wife was a trash to him. The wife practically took loans to send her children to school and fed them from her small trade. It's still this wife who has been magnanimous to take care of her bedridden husband.

I know a man who did not know how his four children went to the university and graduated because the wife did everything. His own money was for friends, women and beer.

So you also believe that the man who was being advised against his wife travelling should be worried? What should be the basis of his fear? Not all women are bad like some of these Nairaland men/guys/boys claim🤷.

I of course don't believe such nonsense. If a man and woman are not good together, I see no reason for why they should remain together. undecided

so how does that bring back his children?

Bring back kids to where?? He should leave them to stay and grow in a better country. They are with their mother afterall.
Imagine being a broken man in this current Nigerian economy and still trying to take care of children all by himself. Na only small time, the man go just mental.
If he can take my Spanish advice; In just a matter of 2 - 3 years, the same children will be going to Spain to spend holidays with him.

With the way things are going now with "wives jilting their husband as soon as they go abroad; especially when it is the husband who had to sell off properties or somehow come up with the needed funds to send them abroad," if my spouse is to wake up one morning and suggest to me that I should sell off about 60% of my properties to sponsor her to the UK or US and then join her over there after 2-3years when she's well settled in?
meehn, such a suspicious suggestion would be met with divorce papers the same day next week.

Nigerian women are becoming too evil-minded.

Men die earlier than women because they are expected to sacrifice their time, money and all for the advancement of their wives and children sacrificially irrespective of their state of physical and mental health.

Any man that is not sacrificing his ALL for his family is a selfish human being that deserves no iota of respect
