he's not yet certified for that - he's reading towards it. CCIE is the hardest cisco exam...he will have to go to belgium to write it in a special lab.

Without a doubt, but I hear you need to be in networking for at least 10 years before even considering a CCIE. Most CCIEs I have come in contact with are all older gentlemen.

there are no requirements of such. from CCNA to CCNP then you are ready for CCIE. i have met 2 naija boys who achieved it & they are less than 30 years of age. it's an 8-hour exam in a lab. cost of exam is around $1500 & it excludes travelling & accommodation.

they just studied it. practice equipments & loads of books. i stopped at CCNP many years ago. my attention span is too short to be going through that nonsense. besides, it's too expensive. the estimate is about $10,000 to be fully prepared for the exam.

CCNA & CCNP are still very good. CCIE itself na overkill. in the whole world, i doubt there are up to 10,000 people that can boast of it. the number of nigerians that have it can't be more than 12. it's a very difficult exam.

even after you manage to cop the certificate, there's a written exam you have to be taking every 2 years to retain it. if you take the exam without passing it after one year, they will revoke the certificate & you have to start again from the scratch!

Never mind the light element. There is something disconnecting about this guys and the tale he is trying to weave. The only defence would be if he is really mentally unhinged. From the pictures he uploaded, he does not look like a nerd/geek to me. Smartness jumps at you even from a mile! It appears folks are allowing sentiments to becloud their sense of objectivity as per here. Who says the sundry certificates and attachments could not have been doctored? BTW his desire for a relationship in this supposed condition is ridiculous to put it mildly. Which rational human being would buy this castle he is building in the air? Without a stable mental condition, all the so-called aptitude and qualifications would remain unusable and evidently useless.

exactly. he is manic or has bipolar disorder and in the manic phase. He also has what is called social disinhibition which is also a feature of mania - so he has no problems giving out info about himself, basically he has no hold on himself. Unfortunately, no amount of telling him to seek help will help him, infact it can strengthen his resolve that he is fine. The only solution is to see his doctor and restart his medications. I found the thread funny at first but when i went onto his facebook page, i knew something was amiss. and then page 6 just brought everything full circle. Its really sad but then, it is what it is.

if theres a way, a member of his family can be notified, maybe via facebook or something. I think his bros name is emmanuel, but I am almost certain they would have noticed already too except if he is not residing at his parents'.
