we should all tell our selves the truth. Tambuwal defecting to the APC is his business but in the normal sense he ought to resign as the speaker of the house. |

He can easily get the Okadigbo treatment: 1) Bring up charges against him in the house. (getting proceeds of Faruk Lawan corruption case will be a good one to rope him with) 2) All principal officers are to step aside for investigation 3) He refuses to step down - chaos 4) He steps down for investigation and he can take okada to tambuwal village. |

waternogetenemy:If one's ignorance has reached its climax, no amount of explanation wld suffice. So in ur own political wisdom, d president must approve of d speaker's election? Lyk seriously? there is no part of d constitution dt stipulates dt(to d best of my knowledge o) Lemme educate u Bro, d president only influences d selection process by bribing d lawmakers who are in his caucus to vote in line with his choice. In d case whr it doesn't work out, he resorts to coercion(As in Amaechi VS Jang's NGF scenerio). All d Barristers & Law students in d house, make una help us judge ds matter o. |

Nigeria politicians are ideology empty,no vision rather they are out to inriches themselves, they are like butterflies flying from one flower to another. Looking for only §weets, all these clueless and selfish senetors/house of representetives who don't have the interest of the mases at heart rather than looting the tresurery of the nation. APC is not better than PDP Tambuwa can not eat his cake and have it let him resign. These people have nothing to offer Nigerian 2 Likes |

barcanista: I know you cited the constitution but you add the word ALL which is not in the constitution. Sec 50 (2)(c) stated: if he is removed from office by a resolution of the Senate or of the House of Representatives, as the case may be, by the votes of not less than two-thirds majority of the members of that House. My argument stands, there is no ALL before members of that house. 80 members is the minimum depending on the number of attending members on the day's sitting |

lakpalakpa: If you don't know what 'epistle' means, then I don't expect you to know the stark difference between a governor's defection and a Speaker defecting from the majority party to a minority party and yet expecting to retain the position he got by virtue of belonging to the majority in the first place! You would also not know that, by global convention, leadership of parliament is reserved for the majority party. I'm sure this "epistle" is too complicated for you to understand. 2 Likes |
