Hello again gurus. In my reapplication, is it okay if I submit a 6-month bank statement of my salary account with the normal incomings and outgoings of our salary, but with available balances only in the last 3 months (with still sufficient fund of 3-month worth of salaries and then submit as a supporting document my savings account (but only for the last 3 months)? Or will it appear suspicious as my reason of refusal is unexplained deposit in my savings account. I just want to cover all bases and leave no room for the ECO to again deny my application. I am paranoid that he would not accept my explanation (which is if course the truth) of the unaccounted deposit? Thanks in advance for your input |

rochf10: I will advise you wait for another three months and have a single clean 6 months bank statement. Please do not give the ECO any room to refuse your VISA application. |

justwise: The thing is the last 5year visa was issued in 2009 expired 2014. She travelled for about six weeks in 2010 same for 2011, but when she had grandchildren in 2012 2013 her trips btw 2013 and 2014 where 2 and a half months, 4months and 5months but she never over stayed. Would the recent refusal on Nigerian passport affect her using us passport to travel this yr(she's only staying 2months) when she gets to uk border. Although she's thinking of writing to ECM for reconsideration because the refusal said no right of appeal or administrative review. |

[quote author=Lexusgs430 post=33411525] Your application address has to correspond with the documents produced, ie submitting a 6 month evidence based documents and you moved @ the latter part, the last documents has to reflect your new address has written on your application. Don't arm them with koboko to flog you. Send an email quoting reference and change of plans. How soon is your appointment? [/quot I applied last year and my address on visa form was different from address on bank statement and i got my visa 1 Like |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 5:48pm On May 06, 2015 |
salsera: She doesn't need a visa to the UK, 90days stay is allowed at one visit, i guess because she applied as Nigerian and not as an American citizen that was why he was refused for those reasons...that said..because she stayed over 90days in one visit..she need to send an email to British embassy with data page of her American passport to clarify the issue. |

Hello there. My monthly salary is about 362k and I am planning to leave about 258k x the last 4 months (instead of transferring it to my savings account as before). I will still provide my savings account statement but only for the last 3 months just to substantiate that I have other funds available (available balance about 1M). Will this create a problem as I do not want the unexplained deposit in my savings account to come up again. Many thanks! |

rochf10:Try to get a letter or tax clearance from your employer showing your salary to back this up. Also a letter authorising your leave / holiday. |

legendsmother: Your husband needs to submit all the required documentations to support your application. Documents like bank statement (6 months validity), tax clearance, financial Interests in Nigeria, hotel confirmation bookings etc etc etc Read through thread to find other supporting documents and processes of past applicants and applications. |

Hello Justwise & Vicjustice, Any particular reason why some visiting visa applications are processed in Sheffield UK and some here in Nigeria? Mine was processed here but a colleague of mine received an email that a decision has been made and that her documents have left Sheffield UK. Also she had an impromptu interview conducted over Skype and she claimed that others who came to renew went through the interview process as well. These questions may have been answered previously but i can't seem to find them. Regards |

maestro03:Among other reasons, the main is because, some applicants are entitled to rights: especially those who are applying as family members of a UK or an EU citizen |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by maestro03: 2:57pm On May 07, 2015 |
Vicjustice: Hmmmmm. Interesting. I applied for Family visit as both of my parents are British. My colleague applied for tourist. Anyways, they have their reasons. Was just curious. Thanks |

Great! Can I ask a couple of questions?? How much is the 2yr visa? Is there a 1yr visa? Because I don't see that in the list. Did you have to specify why you needed one or your travel history was enough? ojay007: |

funkybaby:Ireland and the UK do indeed share information. Every Irish applicant gives fingerprints, photo, passport number etc. These are transmitted to the UK where they are checked against the UK database and the results sent back to the VO's who process the applications. I do know that having a UK refusal does NOT automatically mean that you will be refused an Irish Visa. Even having a UK 10 year ban will mean that it is very difficult to get an Irish visa, but it has been known to happen. Many people that were deported from the UK are surprised when the Irish Embassy tells them that in the refusal letter. By the way Ireland does not dish out 10 year bans, with them its a 5 year ban for deception only. The reason for this information sharing is the Ireland and the UK are outside the Schengen area and share a 'Common Travel Area' in that there are no travel restrictions put on Irish or English citizens travelling over and back. Irish and English people don't even need a passport - a drivers licence will do (unless the airline insists on it). This means that by sharing information they are protecting their borders and doing the job they were employed to do and that is - ensuring as far as possible that as many as possible genuine applicants get visas. |
