Muhammadu Buhari’s United States Visit Will Cost Nigeria, N2.2billion. by kutchs: 11:31pm On Jul 18, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari will be visiting Washington D.C, the US capital for his meeting with President Barack Obama next week, Monday with an announced 32-man delegation and unannounced aides numbering an average of 10 that would be accompanying governors, ex-governors, State House officials and businessmen.

This will bring the total number of Nigerians on this visit with President Buhari to about 229, being the biggest Presidential delegation in Nigerian democratic history. This contingent will cost Nigeria about N2.2billion from the virtually empty Treasury.

The Presidency have earlier announced that those expected to join the President on the visit include Governors Kashim Shettima (Borno), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Adams Oshiomhole (Edo), Tanko Al-Makura (Nasarawa) and Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo) Each with 15 aids.

The rather large delegation will also have former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi; Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential election, Pastor Tunde Bakare; former President of the Newspapers Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN) and publisher of The Democrat, Ismaila Isa Funtua; a former Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazzau; and Halilu Sheni, a businessman.

Others in the delegation will include officials in the presidency and some heads of government parastatals.

Apart from the number about about 10 government officials have already left for the United States in what they claimed is preparing grounds for the Visit.

My Question is these PMB's entourage what are their roles in this particular official visit esp the governors and their fifteen aides excluding securities oo... Na wa for Nigeria govt, Is this how to cut cost of governance? even obama doesnt travel with such number of entourage..... Only God knows when and which yr/century we will witness a real change in this country cause with what am sEeing as of these recent years we are stuck with 419 politicians undecided

Is it not foolish to even suppose that those governors on the entourage will to the US without 2 or 3 aides? Factor the number of aides each member has to the officially announced number and you get the number travelling to the US. Don't be easily deceived by the frugal disposition of Buhari, it's all hogwash.

Also is the new PDP apologists plan to basically make up reasons to complain about everything Buhari does or doesnt do undecided Most of the time you'll see that once that bogus complain is busted they just walk away from it and jump on the next bullshit. Im sure even they arent delsional enough to actually beleive their own bullshit (well some of them are i guess) so its kinda pointless trying to even address their attitude.

Im just gonna watch on the sidelines and see how they live a life of going on a forum/blog/twitter every fucking day just to spread the latest anti Buhari messages for the next 4 years (and lets be honest thats what you do 90% of the time, sure you have valid complaints once in a while but rest of the time you're just being youre basic bitter sadist selves). you claim that it is a 32-man delegates with an average of 10 unannounced aides and then you round up to 229 calling it the largest entourage Nigerian democratic history when I can remember vividly that gej once travelled to isreal on pilgrimage with 600 delegates.....
This is not even as ridiculous as the #2.2 billion figure, haba na there he wan spend the entire 4-years
