Annalise: Balance in the account is an advantage, but constant flow of regular income (pension) is a good thing. She is coming for your graduation, a letter from uni, would be advantageous. |

Lexusgs430: So about how much? Does she need any work document? She might decide to use her business account. |

Annalise: Best to put all documentation that you feel is relevant. |

Annalise: If you can get a tenancy agreement, best to have her stay with you (looks good for your application) |

30 working days is a long time oooo. I don't knw how fast the fast-track service is. (anyone who has used dis service shud enlighten us). For the first refusal point, by now you can address it properly. What about the second point, 1.8m deposit, wch you explained wt paper evidence but they still weren't convinced. Will ur second application shed more light on this deposit wt a stronger evidence? If not, you shudnt re-apply soon till months later wn it won't reflect. If you re sure you can, then re-apply. Someone already suggested u shudnt use ur salary account for the car sales proceeds and others personal huge payments, this is key. askari01: |

Annalise: - Who does your mum do? Employed or running her own business? - 6 months bank statement is a standard - book hotel for her since you are living in a shared accommodation. - many questions you asked has been answered here over and over again |

justwise: Hello and thank you. I went back many pages and could not find the question that applies to me. I had many options for source of employment and had to choose only one. She told me to pick retired from the list. I want to know the average amount that needs to be running in the account. What if sometime in July it went low to about 200k etc. |

OGreene: Thanks Ogreen, I won't apply now, would wait till December, cos I don't want to waste money again, that was just an eye opener.... would contact my HR that I want to split my leave periods to like 15 days and also take the rest without pay in Dec. What do u think? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Annalise(f): 9:24am On Sep 11, 2015 |
Hi I need to know how much needs to be maintained in the account and if there's a limit it should not go below. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 9:30am On Sep 11, 2015 |
Annalise: That doesn't matter anymore because as a retired person you don't expect an active account activities apart from her pension money coming in. All the financial burden concerning the trip will fall on you. There is no point trying to move money into her account that you can't explain the source. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Annalise(f): 9:44am On Sep 11, 2015 |
justwise: about 300k comes in as pension every month. She has a pharmacy too. Which of the accounts should she use? How much should be in the account? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 9:57am On Sep 11, 2015 |
Annalise: Her pension account. How much should be in her account? 10M naira. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Annalise(f): 10:04am On Sep 11, 2015 |
justwise: hmn. Thank you. I don't think the amount in the salary account is up to that. Even if it is there could be some irregularities within the last 6 months. How low can the balance get? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 10:12am On Sep 11, 2015 |
Annalise: Exactly! So why not present the account as it's rather than asking how much you need to have? I said 10m obviously to emphasis that it doesn't matter if you have 10 or 100m in your account what matters is the source of that money. Since she is a pensioner her income is fixed. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Annalise(f): 10:17am On Sep 11, 2015 |
justwise: lol ok sir. Thanks. I honestly don't know how much she has in it. I'll call to ask. The state government owe them about 2 months. Before then, payment was regular. Recently also, I noticed she had significant expenses from that account. she believes she can take 2 different bank statements there but I doubt it. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 10:41am On Sep 11, 2015 |
Annalise: She is right. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Annalise(f): 10:49am On Sep 11, 2015 |
