FrontPageLawyer:

Thank you. Actually going to Manchester on a business trip.

@Ogreene, please will need your help on this one.

Got a quote yesterday for 255k KLM.

Which airline did you use?

Travelling date is 21-24

But I plan to spend one week, but since I filled 21-24 on the application form for a three days visit, don't want POE troubles, might just pay extra $100 to extend arrival to 27th once I get in. What do you think?

@Prof Justwise. Is it permissible at POE if I book ticket for 21-27 as against what I filled in application which is 21-24. Hope I won't face questions at POE otherwise will just leave it at 51-24. Thanks chair

Additional 3 days is not really a big deal but be prepared to explain why you added that extra days if asked

Social and Economics tie in a broader terms looks at your family and financial conditions

Cash in hand payment is notoriously difficult to prove when applying for visa, so it's not going to be easy.

Maybe you need to start getting your salary paid directly into your account by the company but at the moment it doesn't look feasible.

thanks for replying.

i am actually in abuja so i'll have to use the abuja centre. secondly, what other documents do you recommend i submit other than my personal bank account statements?

FrontPageLawyer:

You can check the site pasted below to know if you're qualify for the priority service/fast track

https://uk.tlscontact.com/ng/LOS/page.php?pid=added_value_services

As for the reason for refusal. It's really not a big deal. it has been discussed on several pages here the importance of personal statement of account. This should never be ignored even if you're being sponsored. Give the VO as many documents as you have them available. They're never too much.

And if you're travelling 1st week of October, no troubles. Use Ikeja submission centre.

Best of luck.

Did they deport you, or did you pay your own airfair to return?
How long did you overstay?

These will affect your chances.

Hello UK app gurus... I hail! grin grin grin

I'm amazed this thread has been here; right under my nose and I've been googling google for answers that I havent found shocked.

My situation is this; I intend to travel to the US in Oct which i recently got a visa for. However I want to apply for a UK visa for the 3rd week in oct. I began my pp in Aug but never submitted/paid because of uncertainty about processing times and which visa center to use (it will be a shame if my passport gets stuck with them when its time to go to US).

Please what would you suggest I do? Should I bother at all? undecided

Thanks.

Sorted my flight with Lufthansa. Lagos-Manchester

Should I pay the Hotel I used in the application or I can do that when I arrived? I just want to be careful with POE. Thanks.

wow 255k is on the high side, i got Lagos_ Amsterdam_ Manchester on KLM for 170k, never knew there was a promo that ends 1st Sept, i just booked online on the 1st September and i went to their office to pay the next day in fact they were telling me i was luck cos i booked the previous day which was the last day for the promo.

I dont think this should be an issue at POE.

I stated in my application i want to travel in August, got my visa and plans changed, i am travelling this September in fact i stated in my application i will fly into London then go to Manchester but now i am flying into Manchester straight.

I no fear anybody for POE, if asked any question i will say the truth, shikena.

So @FrontPageLawyer take your time and enjoy your stay if need be beyond the 3 days you stated in your visa application, the main thing is dont stay too long beyond a normal business/vacation trip and never overstay the validity of your visa.

And most likely 24th and 25th Sept will be Sallah holiday.
