Mishelly:

Was that really necessary?why all the division? wht cant we all be one for once and stop all this clannish behaviour. He is right, the website is obviously for anambra alone so there's no need for name calling. Why tell all igbos to come on the site when the forums are all about one state. Just saying

You see why all this talk about Biafra is going to end up being just that: talk!
Too many divisions in the Igbo family structure. Now we express or argue our viewpoints without harassment.
To top it up we now scurry into a corner when challenged, so we end up with Omambala this or that.

Odi egwu.

I am sha not going to be a part of this in-breeding agenda of a new website born of scorn.

Yeah, it's same thing. UN uses Sustainable development.

Lemme cite few examples, Nigeria has been growing fast in population, that's development, but if you analyse this development you did see it's not sustainable, and will keep resulting in unemployment, poverty and high criminal activities. Government hasn't been able to meet up with the unemployment, and poverty indices keep getting worse, now Buhari's government plans to salvage the situation by paying N5, 000, but I can assure you that it's going to be a failed programme, why?? because of our poor, disorganised development, there's no National Data, Nigeria doesn't know who is employed or unemployed. Can Nigeria annouce with certainty how many nigerians died in 2015 or how many were born? So that's why I say proper planning.

On Roads, our government, every year, keep citing road construction as main point of agenda. What happens is that a road that wasn't properly built breaks down before the year runs out, so we run a vicious cycle of "break down-build-break down". But we can build such road, properly, and follow it up with maintenance, then we can face other roads, so that most roads are asphalted and maintained.

Let's look at our layout, Online shops find it difficult to deliver bought items, NIPOST, DHL, RedEx, find it difficult to deliver sent items, it's difficult to run an Emergency Paramedic service in most Nigerian towns. Why?? Poor planning!

When there's proper planning, subsequent development becomes fast and easy.

It's the same mentality we use to qualify cities. To them, places without Skyscrapers, like Lagos and Abuja, do not qualify as a city. Vatican is a well planned city but no single skyscraper. The same mentality would is behind those people who are quick to qualify their establishmens with "international", "ultra modern",...Champion international school, umuama Ultra modern market grin

We should change such mentality learn the beauty and benefits of keeping our development simple, according to each ones economic strength, sustainable and properly planned.

Afam4eva:

I think what you mean is comprehensive planning. I believe there are several variables that makeup a completely planned city but the resources are not easy to come by, so some cities will have to settle for what they can afford.

I initially visited the site, but had to quit as the admin stated in one of his post that the site is strictly for Anamabra, am guessing the post is still there. The whole component of the site is centred around Anambra. I think more effort should be made to make other states feel accommodated. The truth is that site would have fared better if centred around any other Eastern state apart from Anambra. No one one likes a braggarts and I guess that's why Seun will keep winnning.

Afam4eva:
Igbo people get wahala no be small. Even the name of a site is a subject for debate. I'm sure if the site was coalcity.com, it may not have been an issue. I understand that the likes of Chino don't make Anambra look good to people, but we have to look beyond them and unite for a common goal. If we can't agree to visit a site just because it is named after a river that Anambra was named after, i don't see what else we can agree on. For those of you that are fighting for Biafra, maybe when you finally have it and they want to make Enugu the capital, you will object and prefer they make your village the capital and when they refuse, you will form a group called "The Emancipation of Ndi Ukwu Mango (TENUM)".

Hahahahahaha @ The Emancipation of Ndi Ukwu Mango (TENUM)".

The Emancipation of Ndi Ukwu Ube grin grin cheesy

I swear anyi nwelu serious problem.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with a change of name but we shouldn't use it as a basis for not visiting the site.

Yo' argument is flawed. I doubt if you'd be here if Nairaland was named Arewaland.

Igbos, and indeed Africans are very sensitive and emotional people.

Only Igbos who are from that axis will take that site seriously cos the site is a sectional one - as the name clearly suggests.

Heck, no group of persons would love to be reminded that they are not needed there in years to come.

Happy new year, Enugu people, all igbos and Nigeria.

Unfortunately, this year 2016 marks the end of centje on Nairaland. While I was discussing with Afam4eva on the website; omambala, Seun and Mynd_44 perched on this thread, I noticed both of them viewing the thread. Next time I log in, I met ban for days. Reason: I was writing about a website. I was really confused, I wasn't even fully in support of the website.

I havent seen any one being banned for asking another to use google, which is quite common on nairaland, i also haven't seen people banned for forming whatsapp group from Nairaland. People advertise website, products every day on Nairaland, and they aren't hidden or poster banned. A clear example is my health thread : "Tips on Common Accident And Emergency" on first page of health board, people litter it with adverts. People litter every thread with tribalism and hate, especially in politics section where Mynd_44 is a moderator, yet they are left to thrive, but this website was about igbo's interest, it suddenly got Seun and Mynd_44 attention, in such a quick manner. In you guys reasoning, any thing igbo translates to biafra

Placing me on ban for discussing a website, which I wasn't even promoting, was a baised and irrational move. And I think it's time I withdraw my unpaid contributions in building your business and take a leave, in few days time.

I'll really miss your presence sir. You've been an inspiration. BTW, where will you be showing off your works (paintings et all)?
