APC was not in existence then. It was NLC
So both buhari, tinubu and their ilks that openly criticized Jonathan for attempting to remove subsidy are members of NLC.

APC was not in existence them but its parents organizations were actively involved in the protest against subsidy removal. Buhari, tinubu and their ilks that openly criticized Jonathan for attempting to remove subsidy are not members of NLC.

I hope u know this will have negative effect on the economy.
Your salary will not be increased. There will be hike in foodstuffs, transportation amongst others.why not speedily make refineries work and remove subsidy.paying like N145 will have negative effect on the populace.senators and executive will only feel little but the large effect will be on the poor

MeAboki:

The circumstances during Jonathan/PDP and now under Buhari/APC are not the same:
Jonathan had surplus earnings from crude (at over $150/barrel) to spend on subsidy when he was presiding over his corrupt wasteful govt; while Buhari/APC is only having about 1/4 of such earnings from crude (at about $40/barrel) and clearly do not enjoy the same luxury Jonathan had - there is therefore no cause for APC to apologize because they cannot be blamed for the fall in current crude price and therefore the attendant fall in revenue that could have otherwise sustained such subsidy - rather, the govt should be commended instead for taking this bold step.
How can you commend a govt that vehemently opposed the removal of same subsidy by previous regime?
The unfriendly effect of this removal would have been overcome by now and the govt would have had enough to cushion the effect. So in effect APC shot itself in the foot by opposing something that was too important to our economic development.
Please whenever we support any party we should be objective rather than being gullible followers, these politicians have taken us for rough rides too long.

This government is finished!

To the contrary, they've done the right thing.
Can we compare the old subsidized and regulated phone market to the deregulated and unsubsidized ones of today? In numbers of employment and economy enhancements and advancement? Certainly not.

But why is this Govt so insensitive? Why does this guy get to give such heart breaking announcements when ever His Boss is out of town? Why make life more difficult for the poor masses that stood hours under the sun to cast a vote? With increase in Price from Pure water to Garri and to Transportation!
Why must we continue suffering?
GEJ didn't do this much for 4years he was crucified! Now in less than a year life has been more than miserable!
Pls NLC should Stage some action, ALUTA CONTINUA............
PMB APC this na d Change

N145 is way to high. The price independent marketers sell is not more the N130 here in makurdi. I just hope they allow the major marketers to sell at old price of N86. Hope the minister is aware of the consequence of his action.

Yes I campaigned massively for Buhari/Osinbajo,I canvassed votes for APC at all levels.I was almost shot point blank on the election day enroute to Ikoyi to cast my vote.I wanted CHANGE desperately and not political office or patronage.Nigerians have suffered too much, oppressed and decimated by elected 'Rulers' who are driven by greed and corruption.APC this is NOT the change I voted for...It's unethical and unjustifiable to increase the price of petrol to N145.It's sheer wickedness!

Epele sir, a ku bi oju'ojo Naijiria se ri la'be ijoba aninilara APC.

Thanks for voting for this wicked change.
