Please house I have a very important question. Is it possible to live in Nicosia and School at Famagusta? I am planning on going for my master's at Famagusta but I have family in Nicosia who are willing to take me in. Please is it realistically feasible? Thanks all. Mr Wip, thank you for your assistance during my admission process. I need your help on this too.

If you really have family there why are you asking strangers here for an answer?
Very curious that person does not believe family but will believe strangers on internet! shocked shocked shocked

Having more views won't hurt none. Family is also one ambiguous word here. I hope you get.

I'm undecided about staying with them. So I am probably trying to see if I can stand by any decision I decide to make.

it will be stressful for you.. It's more than 30mins drive and it will be stressful to do that on a daily especial if your lectures end after 5pm..

Alright. As a prospective master student, you will not have lectures all days of the week. If you choose to enrol in just 3 courses per semester, there are chances you will only take classes 2-3 times per week. Hence, you may commute 1 hr prior to your lecture. Here in EMU, 95% of graduate programs end 5-6pm. Some classes are scheduled for morn period or mid-day period. Thus, you won't have issues. However, it may be stressful in the beginning, but you will get used to it as time passes.

During my post-doctoral Turkish-sponsored project, for months, I was flying to-fro three times per week Cyprus-Turkey. Mostly arrive Turkey around 8 am and return to Cyprus 4 pm....got used to it after just the first week.
Equally, I know a PhD student then at EMU that lectures in Turkey and still takes his courses at EMU, he did that for more than a year.

Best wishes in whatever decision you will be taking!

Did you upload the documents requested in stage 5? If yes go ahead and book appointments. Then you can download the submitted form online and take it along to embassy with original copies of preloaded documents. You will find the download button for the form after you submitted.

I will advise you contact financial houses like banks, family members, Nigerian politicians, educational trust funds or lotto offices for sponsorship....however, there are no jobs in Cyprus for you to pay them back.

Best wishes!

Thanks v.much. Will look at Turkish thread also.
As much as the turkish super league pays much as suggested by godsong, you must have obtained very high grades in you WASSCE to gain admission into some,Middle East Technical University(it has an offshoot in cyprus), you will need to have had atleast 4A's to gain admission, with a substantial number of B's, even with that you will have to take proficiency exams on arrival. for tuition fee, its a government school, hence it is low, it varies from department to department, but, at most you will pay $500 per semester, all international students are also eligible for tuition discount(50%) and tuition waiver(100%) at the beginning of every academic year, gpa dependent though. For the quality of education, i think it is 1 of the most affordable, if you mention Turkey in any academic clime, METU comes to mind their are over a dozen other government schools that are good as well including Hacettepe University, though not with as much international acclaim as METU. Meanwhile, others prefer foreign exams, including SAT, toefl, e.t.c, , at least for the government institutions, as far as i know, also students attending private institutions pay as much as tuition fees as their counterparts in cyprus, some even more(i mean in the tune of over $4000). SOme charging as much as $10000 per year, Bilkent university comes to mind, in this category, very good school, I cannot speak that much of many Turkish private schools with very high quality of education though, i was told some of them, are not too good, they also accept quite lower grades than what i stated earlier, but it is still well above average, if you can afford to pay the tuition fee, them go pamper ur gpa for you. I have described in brief the different categories of schools above, the ball is in your court.Having said this the main battle you will have to conquer is at the embassy, it was difficult(they had to send my file to the turkish local authorities for evaluation before approval), it is now even more difficult, given the recent bomb attacks, i am not discouraging you, i am only saying, you need to hold unto your God. For residence permit, you might get as many as 4 years. If you eventually opt for METU incase you have a very good WAEC result, i will help you on how to go about the admission, it is open already, but as you do not sound like someone who really wants to study, i will advice against this, METU ensures everything is at MIT standard(i am nt exaggerating). So you will need to prepare urself mentally. Sorry for commenting late though.

You will need to get your high school transcript showing an aggregate of your grades in form of a cumulative grading system. Example, most high schools here, indicates that the student passed with 75%/100 at the end of the high school...so get something like that. And the grading criteria should be stated on your transcript.
