Exactly what creamyworkz said.

If you have cash, it will be hard and even if you find someone, you'll be making a huge loss.

I hope you're in London cos maybe you can find someone travelling to Nigeria soon who can help buy your Naira.

Sorry. sad

you just go on to the website, pick a programme that you qualify for and apply. Make sure your personal statement is impressive and memorable. Make sure you explain why you want to study that particular programme and how it will be related to your future career plans.

Good day everyone,
Having read all the pages from start,I have some questions to ask and requests to make.

a guy said he cooked Noddles the following morning he arrived, was there cooking utensils in rented appartments?

those schooling in Scotland especially, how is the cost of living there?

how to survive for the first few weeks with a lowest amount of money ( maintenance money may arrive late ) smileysmiley

most experience written has been that of guys, ladies kindly share yours too.some issues that apply to us have to be more detailed e.g the convenience or cost of hair making,is it better to bring your weave on or buy over there, issues of compatibility of their brand of sanit**ies etc
I've visited the oanda website and I input how much I had in naira and chose GBP as output but there was no conversion made.how do I navigate the site??

that's all for now

The correct answer is YES.
In this case they mean sponsor for your tier 4 visa, which is the school.

Yes, the apartment should have utensils.

It depends on your taste and area. However, in a shared flat for an average student, you should budget between 250-300 pounds monthly. In some flats, utility bills aren't inclusive, you will need to confirm that. I think, with 300 pounds, you should get inclusive bills with the rent, but that will depend on agreement. You will also need plan for bus pass of about 40 pounds per 4 weeks (28days), that's, if you aren't living near school or is far from school area. Most city centre apartments are very expensive. A place like Glasgow and Aberdeen city centres are very expensive. You maybe luck, though, not all most times, depending on the building. More so, Glasgow city centre housed three universities and a college, you can imagine the competition for accommodation in this area.

There are lots of African stores in Scotland, which mostly are owned by Pakistanis. There are few Nigerians, though. I bet you, you will have everything in those Pakistani' stores. I will advise you carry what can sustain you for one month, at least, since you are unfamiliar with the area. That does mean you carry too much load. If you can look for any Nigerian churches, good for you. It will aid in locating those secret places like stores etc only if you ask, though.

You asked if ladies can share their experiences. It is good that you said it. The problem is, people don't come back to help others. I hope you won't be like them. I got mine from here, and I am giving it back, such is life. Ladies should come up for this question.

Was on fully paid for scholarship - so had no probs with the above. But it could be hell for self sponsored students bros.

Part time jobs may be hard these days - when full graduates are even out there unemployed

hmmm - unless you stay in the school hostel, else no accommodation is cheap

that one is the easiest na. - so many calling cards out there.
OMG! Can I also get the same type of scholarship you got plssssssssssssssssssss

Hello.

Some furnished apartments com with basic cooking utensils (pot, pan, cutlery). Almost all furnished apartments have cooker/oven already installed.

I didnt school in scotland, but I live here and and cost of living is cheaper than england. Except scottish areas like Edinburgh and maybe St. Andrews.

How to survive with little money? Hhmmm...get a part-time job, g an informal job like dog-walking or manual labour from friends, be active in a church or mosque or volunteer work so people can help you out, share accommodation, seriously lookout for vouchers and coupons...etc

I'm not a lady but I believe fashion, bodycare, sanitary products will be more expensive In UK.

Oanda only shows official exchange rates, but for actual street/BdC rates in Nigeria I recommend abokifx.com

Cheers.

If you cook enough, I think you can survive on £100/mth on food.
Bus transport can be less than £50 a month.

Hey guys, does any of you run a youtube channel? how do you handle your money from adsense? considering the fact that tier4 students aren't allowed to be self-employed? My friend has a youtube account but didnt take it seriously at first, one of her videos went viral and she decided to monetise it. But she doesnt know how to get the money off youtube as her adsense account is in Uk and that means she has to file for self assessment tax which she may not be allowed to as Tier4. Can she change the adsense to a Nigerian one and still maintain her earnings from youtube? Thanks.

Yes you can start cooking the moment you stepped into the house because many shared accommodations are equipped with cooking utensils.

If your accommodation is closer to your school then you will not spend a penny on transport even if its 20-30mins away you can still get discounted student ticket.

Please come with your wig because hair do here is on the high side for sure, after sometimes you will find student who does it on the cheap.

Put the £ on the left and select the naira on the right
