Wow. These young northerners are a lot more reasonable than the old men in MASSOB and IPOB.

The ultimatum is unfortunate however the Igbos up there should comply. You don't insult your host and seek to thrive on his land. Go and develop your lands and show us that we have judge you wrongly.

I am really loving this, because any northerner who has been aware and been following the continuous barrage of Igbo insults and hateful speeches would have by now been fed up and equally feeling the same kind of resentment towards the Igbos.
The feeling among most northerners now is good riddance to bad rubbish; Igbos or anyone who wants to join them should also go; there is a limit to tolerance and Igbos have pushed northerners to that limit.
Let all Igbos therefore converge in the East and conduct their referendum - but as for me; they shouldn't be allowed back whether they decide to stay or not.

Crappy lies.

You know you can very well say, i dont like Igbos and pull out AREWA from Nigeria. What prevents you from doing that?

Me don tire for all these. If secession go happen make e happen if na talk and solution finding go happen then make e be. The way Biafran states dey now, dem just empty, no infrastructure or development, their governors n leaders don chop dem finish. If Biafra happen now, civil war go still happen inside am cos some kind yawa go still burst. Sha make e happen as e wan happen as far as bloodshed nor reach my own family members n state then I dey ok with am.

In Arewa way of thinking, they imagine if they say Igbo leave north and leave Nigeria, igbo will just obey them. Then they can use Nigeria army to try and commit genocide.

This time, the plan and the entire story of the second civil war Arewa are plotting will be different. Let us watch and see it.

I remember it was Hitler that invaded Russia, Arabs invaded isreal in 1967 and Idi Amin invaded Tanzania.

Arewa is currently not demanding to pull out of Nigeria but willing to let the Biafrans out of the zoo by giving them 3 months quit notice to get out of the region.
The word parasites clearly now rests with Igbos who have been feeding off other regions as economic refugees without contributing anything (don't argue because the myth about Igbo contribution has already been put to bed) while abusing and insulting everyone - this parasitic Igbo nature seems to have already been proven by their reluctance to leave the north.

Even though the long epistle reeks of frustration, Arewa youths must be commended for for their new stance on self determination. however, they seem confused- holding carnival with Igbo attire today and next they want support Biafra.

Btw, i hope they know we notice the way they have been trying so hard to associate Biafra with south east geo political zone. we wont get tired of reminding them that south east zone neither represents the entire Biafra nor even the complete Igboland.

their fear just started.
You are a joke if you think you can coerce us Niger-Delta minorities into your Igbo Biafra. We know it's because of our abundant resources and landmass and access to the sea that is making you Igbos shout Biafra up and down. But we are not fools. Wake up from your fantasy and face reality of the present! Niger-Deltans are wiser now. This is year 2017 and not the 1960s.

We can actually achieve this, this is my dream of a restructured Nigeria, after the Biafrans must have been pushed to their country.
It's increasingly becoming obvious that the North is tired of the Igbos and it's clear the the Northerners are more matured in their approach. No insults like the Biafrans, just facts as known to them.
The debate will eventually force this govt to DO SOMETHING.
Unfortunately the Ibos hardly debate, but to insult, curse and throw expletives all around the place.
U are right.

I hope you'll eventually realise that Igbos have made themselves despicable due to unnecessary cockiness and arrogance

No one is jealous of your so-called "success" or whatever, but people are really disgusted at your annoying "arrogance"

You really need to stop it

Nobody cares about your shitty opinion man, when it's time you'll come to certain realisations...

I never talked about anyone being jealous and if you can come out of your depressing low self esteem you'll know the difference between confidence and cockiness...

I sighted an example in Jews so your views come across as no surprise...

You want to leave the zoo, but after leaving, you will physically remain, which kind logic be dat? So the agitation has been about spiritual "leaving" all along?

Are you confused?

So, you mean you will be a biaflan and be competing for business and residential spaces with Nigerians without being PROPERLY taxed as a foreigner? (Which is even subject to approval by Nigeria govt).

Pls in which obodo is this done?

the people you talk about still have their nigerian passports and are yet to renounce their nigerian citizenship. A referendum first and then they accept biafran citizenship and then you talk about foreigner tax.

asking them to leave their properties and businesses for you to take over is wrong.

PointB:
When a very sizeable population of any country i.e. Igbos in Nigeria do not feel welcome in their country, how do you expect the best from them? Nigeria can keep patching things up, but it won't change anything.

Some South-East politicians have started clamouring for Presidency in 2019. Let me ask, "Who President epp"? Presidency is just 8 years. In the end just like Obasanjo, and Yar/GEJ, and eventually Buhari, it won't changed the course of Nigeria.

Permit me to digress. The Nigeria situation is akin to Seun handing over the key of his politics forum to some individuals. Some of these individuals then feel so powerful because they have access to the ban button or perhaps because they never wielded real power. In the end they keep going in circles, chasing same shadow that they have been chasing for over a decade. Then they get frustrated because they are not making any impact: trying same thing and using same tools against same people.

When Seun gets tired of their listless and ineffectual meandering, he dumps them like pack of used condoms. We were here when Jarus ended his despotic gatekeeper-ship career in Nairaland. We saw Sexkilz tried to kill everything that moves, and there was ikenna who 'followed' every suspected trouble maker like a shadow. There was Ngwakwe, Afam4eva etc. Today we have OAM4J and others who lurk in his shadow. These people did (sometimes without human face) what they thought was best and continued to. Yet here we are. Nairaland has not changed, and doesn't look like changing. The toga of bigotry and tribalism it wore over the years has not been shed. It's rather strengthened despite whatever efforts the MODs claimed they are putting in.

This is no different from the pathetic country Nigeria is. Nigeria is broken, very broken. And none of the past presidents were able to find a solution to it. Neither will new ones with same system. Rather, it get worse with new ones.

Handing over presidency to us (Igbo) in 2019, changes nothing. The best it offers is a Pyhrric victory . For "if the foundation is broken, what can the righteous do?"

This Northern Youth Group are right in their support for the call for referendum. We need to look ourselves in the eyes and decide if we want to be part of the entity called Nigeria. Other ethnic nationalities i.e Yoruba need this referendum too. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is as sweet as stolen water. But there is always consequence. We have run full cycle are back to square one.

We cannot continue to run a country like this. Something need to give - the faulty foundation, I surmise!

Now is the time.

Referendum now!
I respect intelligence when I see one. Love ya Nairaland analogy

For the first time since independence the Northerners talk with succinct clarity and wisdom and we should all concur and allow Biafra to go now without a single blood shed while we can contain the situation now by mutual agreement. Nigeria can never grow or be great with this mix of people Easterners and northerners in one potpourri. Half word is only for the wise, as I foresee a very bloody future situation that will be out of control and a little too late to remedy. Let him that has hear listen and do the needful when the time is right.

You don't insult those whom you need their support to secede diplomatically else you risk a violent confrontation. When one of my sisters listened to Radio Biafra before it was jammed she was surprised with the kind of words KANU was using. KANU insulted others and he's created more foes for Igbos than friends.

If nigeria was practicing true federalism all these would not ve sufficed, we need to go back to the regional system of government where every state will use its resources at his disposal without fear or favour... Our ethnic diversity is a curse wrapped up in a golden package.

As if so many heads were not chopped off at Aba market and other locations in the east. Northerners don't take to the internet to cry foul when their own are unjustly killed in the east. We are not unaware that so many Northerners are killed on daily basis in the East either due to armed robbery, cultists clash, money ritual or unprovoked attacks. But we don't give those killings religious or ethnic coloration.

Don't let me derail from the main point, just pack your stuff and go, our mumu don do.

Stop all those long processes, no one is looting your property. If the northerners had that in mind, they wouldn't have allowed you to make those properties in their land in the first place. They could have made the condition very unfavourable for you.

But why are you people always very good in this victim card?

You insult everyone, call everyone parasite, you are so important to Nigeria, that is why Nigeria doesn't want you to leave, now LEAVE, "they want to loot our property". What is wrong with you people for God's sake?

Were you thinking of leaving and still be residing and be doing business in Nigeria?

Did the Arewa just wake up one morning and ordered you to move? Were you not the one insulting everyone that you want leave?
