Akiko n'egwu, Enugu state wanted out of the old Anambra state because they felt Ndi Agbaenu as they referred to us were controlling everything, they even stole Ugwuoba from us.
See their legislators angry that Anambra was officially declared an oil producing state, so much for Igbo unity.

That's the truth, the elites are causing more division than the people. They go to the upper chamber bickering like people who do not know each other. These division in high places is the major reason why they don't take us serious.

Instead of Enugu and Anambra to come together and oust kogi from settings, then we have our own agreement to share it for regional development. Nope, they are just myopic.

I am yet to see anything wrong with what Ofodirinwa posted.
He didn't post out of hatred.
The worst that Igala fool will do is post pictures of people and spam the thread( which will get all his monikers banned by the way) but that can't hide the truth.
Why didn't Aba folks come here to say rubbish?
Uwani, coal camp, Asata are some of the most planned settlements on earth, not even the fact many of the buildings are old is enough to disprove that fact.
And do well to ignore that yeske whatever.
No other state thread can get to this level. Stop begging people to tone down, if they don't want, it's their headache.

All the time he could have made his points withouts taking shot or subliminal jabs and still pass his message across with every one understanding the message he was trying to pass. Or you think it's okay for him to take shots once in a while and its bad for chino cause he takes shots all the time, what is bad is bad his statement's were uncalled for.

Here are some quote of ofodirinwa's post (Bold) after reading it let me know if you still think what he said was in order and while you are at it kindly explain to me how Aba and Onitsha people behave, the same Onitsha and Aba that have produced some of Igbo's best and brightest minds.

With post like those highlighted tell me what separates him from Chino. I salute Anambrains and Abia people for their maturity to overlook his stupid jabs as they were totally uncalled for.

This post is not good. I condemn it. We should talk more on how to improve our region. Onitsha and Aba are coming up very well. There is no point for people to use derogatory words to describe them. There are slums everywhere. Even Lagos with trillion budget has Makoko Yaba which is worse than anything you can see in the east. Please lets stop this trend, reconcile and move on. As per the issue at the senate, Ohaneze should do their work in bringing their members together.

It is not a just a senator utazi thing. Wawa people in general are frustrated lowlives who are ever pained about Anambra's progress and superiority over them. The present stagnation in enugu economy is because most Anambra indigenes have decided to start re-directing their investments back to Anambra state and wawa people are bitter since their genetic laziness means their economic stagnation and slide is bound to continue. Ask around where graduates in the southeast now head to in search of jobs and Anambra is top on the list.

All these non Igbo monikers, who had been impostors, impersonating Ndi Anambra here. This Enugu thread is the most progressive Igbo unity thread in NL and we(Real Igbos) are allowing impostors serving as fifth columnists scatter this thread.

Please, let's be wise, from now onwards, let's ignore any posts from these impostors, don't give them the attention they crave for, and please, can we get the honourable Mod to clean this thread for us, and remove posts from these fifth columnists here?

Spare Anambra such details because we have ours on board, you guys can go with it and in some years an Anambrarian will still buy it. SE crap is for you guys so spare us those details let it rest for Enugu and the rest.
The only reason they are begging for southeast unity is because they want the Anambra entrepreneurial spirit to also manifest in their states. Take a look at Imo (they only invest in prostitution aka hotels because Anambra people are not found there), Enugu (their overrated international floodport has failed because Anambra businessmen now use asaba airport in anticipation of the completion of the Anambra international airport. Ebonyi is still a rural, backward bushland where majority of their people break stones for a living. Abia is only lucky that some few multinationals choose to remain because of its proximity to PH despite the fact that Aba is the dirtiest town in africa where humans and animals are on the same level.

Ofordinwa post was wrong, but we know that there are better ways it could be corrected without seeking to cause Igbo disunity here.
The monikers that you are defending, are known for their anti Igbo unity posts, they are not Igbos, they are fifth columnists, hiding behind Anambra as a Trojan horse, to infiltrate and decimate the Igbo camp, they have been looking for means to enter and scatter the unity we are building here, Ofordinwa post simply gave them a platform to gain a foothold and unleash their agenda here.

I don't know you, but you should do well to investigate the anti Igbo activities of the monikers you are defending, don't be that naive.

Enugu is the center of excellence in Igboland, it's like the cord that holds us together, at Enugu, we all lose our clan identities, and just become 042 people.
The Phynos( Anambra) , the Flavours( Anambra) , the Wizboys(Anioma- Ika) , etc all rep Enugu, and carry her everywhere.

Enugu is the place of unity for Ndiigbo.

Attention @Igboid, you keep avoiding the actual divide at the governmental level. Uwa Ntooor cheesy

The hate in the region runs deep and wide. They want Igbo unity but some states in the region have elevated their hate and bitterness to governmental level. Look below and see what so called Igbo did to a fellow Igbo meanwhile we are here everyday yapping economic integration.

In the 7th senate, it was Ayogu Eze that stood on the way in confirming Anambra an oil state in the Senate which the state has been investing and developing. Now it is sen Utazi. Tomorrow someone will come and yap Igbo economic integration and you think its gonna fly. It's all man for himself. Let the region scatter because it is not useful. Let all states stand on its own and fight for itself.

If you claim you have oil, why not develop it like Anambra is doing than being a clog in the wheel each time this matter is raised in the Senate? I can even excuse the guy from NC but what of our so called fellow Igbo who knows clearly that this oil belongs to Anambra. We are watching but you guys will never succeed.

See the highlighted in red, has the 2 other pretending States done anything like that? The answer is NO.

The Senate on Thursday mandated its committee on Petroleum (Upstream) to investigate the contention over the oil producing status of Kogi and Anambra states.

The resolution came after three senators from Kogi, Anambra and Enugu states traded of words on the issue.

First was Chukwuka Utazi (Enugu) who told his colleagues that an appointee of Anambra State, Mike Emuh, announced in a national daily that the state is an oil-producing state.

In a report by Vanguard newspaper, Mr Emuh, the National Chairman of Host Communities Producing Oil and Gas, HOSCON, told traditional rulers in the state that the federal government has approved 10 modular refineries in the 11 oil producing states in the country, one of which refineries would be cited in Anambra.

Mr Emuh further said the federal government also approved the employment of 10,000 youth from oil producing states, of which 1,000 are to be employed in Anambra State.

He added that he was in the state to ask the traditional rulers to nominate a particular place the modular refinery would be cited in the state and to prepare for the selection of the youth to be employed.

Mr Utazi condemned the announcement, saying the status of Anambra as oil producing state is still being looked into.

“On the 9th of April, 2018, the Vanguard newspaper among other things said that federal government confirms Anambra State’s status as oil producing state and it was copiously reported. I want to take the senate on a history lane.

“The government of President Jonathan Goodluck on 30th of August 2012 recognized erroneously Anambra as an oil producing state. As a result of that, it sparked a lot of violent protests in Kogi and Enugu states who were part owners of this oil, OPL 915, 916 and 917.

“As a result of the violent protests in these states, the government of Jonathan, as it then was called for a meeting on the 31st of October 2012 to resolve this issue and invited into the Villa, the (then) governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi; (then Governor Idris) Wada of Kogi and the deputy of Governor of Enugu State then for a meeting.

“After looking at the issue that concerns these ownership on this oil filed, they decided to withdraw the declaration already made and ordered the National Boundary Commission to wade into this issue and find out actually who owns what, and since then the NBC has been handling this matter.

“It is on record that I brought a motion to this effect when we were handling this issue but because of the nature of that motion, Mr. President decided to stand down that motion I brought and said we should allow the National Boundary Commission to look into that issue and come up with a final resolutions that the matter would be settled amicably.”

He prayed the Senate to look into the matter and caution the state appointee from making such announcement.

“Who owns OPL 915, 916 and 917? It is contentious. The Igala speaking people in Uzuwani are laying claims, Enchenwa of Abaji local government area of Kogi are laying claims, Anambra East Local Government are laying claims,” he concluded.

Reacting, a senator from Anambra State, Andy Uba, said Mr Utazi’s submission was a lie, claiming his state has attained the status of oil-producing state.

He said, “If you recall in 2013, those that were here in the 7th Senate, I moved the motion for Anambra to be included in the oil producing state and then the issue was that every state that wants to be included must produce 120,000 barrels of oil before they would be included and Anambra has attained that. So what my colleague is saying is not true. He is lying. He is just saying his own view.”

Defending his state, Dino Melaye from Kogi said the two other senators were lying as the contentious oil well belongs to Kogi.

“So that we don’t live with an impression that is wrong. You had earlier ruled that the chairman upstream look into the issue of the conflict as regards the oil discovery but I want to say that as a senator representing Kogi, that our electric brother and friend, Senator Utazi is totally wrong and my soft-spoken senator from Anambra State is totally wrong. The oil is from Ibaji Local Government in Kogi State. It is only owned by Kogi State and I want the chairman upstream to investigate it.”

The senate referred the matter to its committee on Petroleum (Upstream).

There is a big disconnect between the political jobbers masquerading as Igbo leaders, and Igbo commoners.

The Political jobbers doesn't truly represent the people interests and want the people as divided as possible to maintain their grip on power and secure their pensions by ensuring continued existence of Nigeria.

A politically United Igbo entity doesn't serve the selfish interests of the likes of Utazi and co.

You would be naive to start reading meanings to the actions of failed Igbo political jobbers who had since lost touch with the Igbo commoners aspirations.

True, we have issues within the Igbo sub tribes, but it's not anymore than is obtainable elsewhere, and they by no means not as bad as the politicians with selfish interests presents.
I was born and bred in Enugu, though not an Enugu indigene, and not for once had I been made to not feel at home at Enugu.
Enugu people embraces all Igbos, that's what makes that City unique and home for all of us.

The only place you have large number of industries in Igboland is Anambra state (mostly Anambra-owned) and Abia state( mostly foriegn-owned with handful of Anambra-owned). If you are waiting for industries in wawaland, you may grow grey hair because Anambra people no longer go to wawa territory to invest seeing how much wawa people hate Anambra. And wawa laziness won't allow them to build industries either.

You have not made any point but running from pillar to post. If this senator were to be from Anambra, I am very sure that your tone would have been different, you would have been more direct to where he comes from. But see you now running around helplessly trying to at least say something. cheesy

Please discuss the Enugu senator's action and it's implication to the development of the SE. I didn't ask you to tell me about political jobbers. I hope you know that in the 7th senate, Ayogu Eze equally did a similar thing and stood on the way. Is it a case of repeatedly hating on your fellow Igbo even at the governmental level?

Ayogu did it and now Utazi has continued from where he stopped. Please discuss. cool
