Zanzibar is super....I used Nairaland and TripAdvisor as a guide. Very small so you see all the sites in a short time. It's so beautiful.

Did an Island Tour...went to Tortoise Island, Mafia Island or so.

Saying that, where did you travel from? Planning such a trip from the UK will set me back some 5 grand for a two week trip and ofcourse I'm not made of money (yet).

Took off from Abuja. Tickets for two if i remember rightly was 700$ (each for 2 people?) i have forgotten honestly. I remember it was 700 because i foolishly waited during December; peak period. It was initially 600$, i lost 100$ in the process.

I strongly recommend Zanzibar. I used the UnderWater Room which cost like $1600 for one night , I wanted the Balloon Safari over Serengeti Plains but it was FULLY BOOKED throughout the period. That's why i settled for the Underwater Room (Manta Ray Resorts)

It's not really all that. I preferred the rest of the trip. I DIDN'T USE ANY GUIDE. Don't be scammed.

Just stay safe, be sensible as a tourist. I missed going to the Cheetah Sanctuary because i didn't know on time.

I heard it's the best place to visit

LOL @ guts. Giraffes are herbivores of the wildlife. As wild animals they could be unpredictable, but would most likely not have any need to hurt humans: except when they feel threatened. We're one of their predators. They are the one with guts for being that close to us

In Nigeria, we keep killing every undomesticated animal that's unfortunate enough to stray into our terrain. While some other countries be making money out of them. Nawa!
