Nigerians have apathy towards using pedestrian bridges but this one is there for the secondary school kids. It is necessary because the road is now wide and difficult to cross.

New labour house in Owerri

this is not a criticism of Okorocha. More so the whole of Nigeria

Why is the government building the office for Labour? Does anyone in government know what government is supposed to be doing? Because 'everything and nothing' isn't working.

It's a campaign promise.

An illiterate campaign promise to illiterate people. How can the government in a civilized society build facilities for a labor union that is supposed to keep the government in check by fighting for better living conditions for workers. If the government builds facilities for said labour union, can they open their mouth to complain about government minimum wage inside of that building? Non-payment of wages?

As a member of the government, the money you spend building and (hopefully not) maintaining this building is a bastardization of a budget and intelligent expenditure. Tomorrow you'll hear that the government is in debt.

This is all a product of low IQ on behalf of the government and the labour union. People think corrupt is the issue. How can corruption in government be an issue in a government that doesn't know what government is?

if people don't use pedestrian bridges, why build them and complain about people not using them?

We have been building those ugly things for 30 years now and every week someone complains that nobody is using them. Every year a new one is commissioned. Why do they think people should climb a mountain and descend just to cross the street and why can't they find solutions that work by T H I N K I N G?

Only in Imo state. Govt builds offices for Labour, NUJ, even rebuilds private schools in Owerri.

That is what bearing grudge can cause.

Instead of Okorocha govt asphalting the roads it scrapped in Orlu area since 2012; old grudge would not allow him. He would rather the people inhale dust and die.

Very stupid uneducated asshole. He's using government money to build churches, charties, buildings for private organizations who's members pay dues and have already enriched. Then when it's time to pay the salaries of the people doing the work there's a 6 month delay. These are people that use that money to put food in their own mouth.

Okorochas poor education is killing people. This is the by product of ignorance. He's luck Africans have low self esteem and don't believe they deserve what the rest of the world is enjoying because if he left Nigeria he wouldn't be hired to clean windows talkless of govern a state.

Each continent has its peculiarities that should be respected. For example how will you convince an African that a gay supporter should be hired as cleaner?

That's not a peculiarity, that's ignorance. 30 years ago you couldn't convince a white person to hire a gay person. But because they're dedicated to making life better for themselves and believe in principles of equality, they eventually realized it was injust. I'm yet to see Africans independently improve their own thinking about anything unless they're superficially mimicking the outside world with a 10 year delay.

The same knuckle dragging man that believes who a person chooses to have sex with is related to his cleaning will go and find 'his brother' and have a filthy office, disgrace himself and his business, and complain that 'nigerians don't want to work' without taking ownership to how much his own primitive ignorance added to the problem.

If there are peculiarities in Africa lets hear them. Hating homosexuals is world wide for every country with low educational standards, so it's not an 'african' thing.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 2:17pm On Jun 22, 2018
Also, being in government and not being able to focus on governing but instead thinking it's your personal bank account isn't an 'african' thing, it's a loser/illiterate thing. It doesn't happen in Lagos, and it doesn't happen in Anambra. It happens in Borno, Imo, Kogi, Zamfara, and other places government by semi-literates.

Imagine having a child, but you take the little money needed to train them to start buying your neighbors furniture, building buildings for them, etc. You have a bedroom but you cook in it. You have a kitchen but you bathe there. You have a bathroom but you watch television there. You use your laptop to dry your body and your towel to browse the internet.

That's what a government that builds churches but doesn't pay salaries looks like. No difference. Someone will now say it's an African thing. Is it an African thing or an 'I don't understand how to live in a house' thing? What has been done to increase Imo's IGR? If Okorocha wants to be a thief why can't he at least increase the pool of money he steals from to make himself richer? Because he's a semi-literate and lacks what it takes to advance on anything. He can only steal what's there.

In this time, it’s unintelligent to ascribe this act as a ‘continental peculiarity’; waste of public funds, which is seen everywhere in Africa, should not be celebrated.

The labor union is an independent organization and gets her funding from its members. If a need to build a house for its operation arises, the members (or private donors) should be responsible.

Given the paltry of funds available for most of the States, I enjoin state administrators to focus on the core issues of governance.

Rivers is an animal kingdom dominated by low IQ, low self confidence and broken identity. I don't know why you brought that failed state up

Lagos shuts down 70 churches, 20 mosques over noise pollution lately. The rule of law is taking hold there because the government understands that humans can have a house and dedicate one room to cooking one room to shitting and one room to sleeping. Come to Imo where government builds national labor offices and statues of deposed loser south african prime ministers.

Let's be clear on something: that it's happening in Rivers State or elsewhere in Nigeria doesn’t make it right

Make no mistakes about it, Rivers State is stinking rich so they can afford to do whatever they like with their resources

I am surprised that there's no well-articulated strategy for industrializing Imo State after Okorocha kept shouting job (x3) factory (x3) and all that just to win 2015 elections

Rochas is a good philanthropist but a bad leader.

For the umpteen time, Rochas has no administrative and leadership skills, and he shouldn't be in government

When a semi-literate person in power is also driven by grudge, the result is what we see in Imo: a state governor wastes nearly 95% of the state's capital development budget building what he likes in one small patch of the state -Owerri.

Stop writing lies upon lies. The Imo industrial park, Cargo Airport and Egbema power plant are clear road maps which Okorocha has been working on to achieve. Such large projects are not usually easy to achieve but could be gradually attained with continuity.

Oga, relax. Even on Okorocha's last day in office, he will still award the contract for a new project.

That man should hurriedly get out of Douglas House for people who understand governance to take over.

Imo State is yet to get it right in leadership nearly two decades of practising democracy

A new school being built by Okorocha government at former Owerri township stadium which has long been out of use. Okorocha has built over 500 schools in 7 years as Governor which I believe is unequaled.

Owerri is unlivable and insecure today is because Okorocha has pauperized the state far worse than he met it even though it has always been a poor worthless state. Over 50℅ of resident of Imo state people are Stark poor while the rest 50℅ had run to live in Anambra. The most dangerous and horrific bank robbery in the history of Nigeria took place in Owerri Imo state. It is a sign of a cursed pauperized state. cool

Abagworo:
Look at what Obiano has caused poverty everywhere in his State!!

Imo state is truly cursed backward state.

In imo state:

- civil servants are owed 4months arrears

- Pensioners are owed over 3yrs arrears

- There's zero job opportunity in Imo state

These are some of direct effects of high rate of crime, prostitution and insecurity in imo state.

You all can insult him all you want but I think okorocha is the best governor you have had since 1999. In fact, he is the best governor in the southeast. The recent beauty of imo state and the calibre of infrastructure he has built so far can dwarf any governor in the east in recent times. The only problem he has is that he doesn't know how to commercialize his state to be economically viable.

In the next couple of years, if they continue what he has put on ground, imo state will have the highest malls in the country. I have seen close to 6 malls under construction. This better than the ones built by other states at the moment.
