Islam for Muslims / Tunde Ednut Using His IG Page To Spread Israeli Sponsored Islamophobia by Rafidi: 7:08am On May 17, 2021 |
Salam Alaikum, The video in the below link was posted by popular Nigerian social media personality Tunde Ednut on his Instagram Page which boasts of over 1.4 million followers. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CO4-QAIpZf5/?igshid=nl2h25d794r6 As you can see below, the source of the video is from an Israeli propaganda organization's page on the same Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tv/COczHpcll44/?igshid=hlrpf43ttcui Observations and Notes: 1. The narration is false and fictitious and based on unverifiable claims. 2. It is full of anti Muslim racist stereotypes and disinformation 3. It targets and paints the Muslim faith and its reputation in a very offensive manner. 4. It also targets uninformed Christians with the aim of evoking their sentiments and creating feud between Muslims and Christians in a religiously divided country like Nigeria. Questions to Ask Ourselves: 1. The first question is why would a popular social media personality spread such a divisive, hate filled, islamophobic propaganda, anti Muslim, pro Israeli video on his page. 2. Was Mr Ednut paid since the creator of the video is an Israeli propaganda machine (an organization). The message belongs to an organization. 3. If he was paid, then how much? How much does it require in cash for a very popular instagram page to spread such hate speech, as a sponsored message against Muslims especially targeting a Nigerian audience in Nigeria, where religion is already a divisive issue? 4. Jews dont believe in Jesus, even though he was one of them but Muslims do believe in him. Is Mr Ednut not aware of that? Why tie the love for Jesus with loving Jews and apartheid and racist Israel by extention, since the message was created by a pro Israel propaganda machine. Even more alarming, why spread such a hateful video when apartheid Israel is current carrying out crimes against humanity on the Palestinians. Isnt this an attempt to whitewash the bloody and inhumane image of apartheir Israel using sponsored propaganda video? Apparently it is an attempt to incite the emotions of unsuspecting Christians to love apartheid Israel, a "Jewish state", where even Palestinian Christians belonging to the Eastern churches (the most ancient of churches on earth) have been persecuted by extremist right wing Jews. A quick YouTube search on "Jewish Hate Crimes Against Christians in Israel" would be sufficient to convince you. 5. The anti Muslim propaganda video paints the Muslim faith and faithfuls as intolerant, extremists, killers and anti Christian. Why would such a message with evil intent make it to the page of a social media personality in a religiously divided country? 6. The narrator, whose name is not even mentioned and his claims cannot be verified portrayed himself as an extremist fanatic when he was Muslim. Funnily enough, he was fanatical enough not to exchange hand shake with a coptic Christian because the Christian was wearing a crucifix but he was "polite", according to him in a contradictory manner to allow the same Christian man to pray for his sick cousin. This makes no sense at all. A normal, sane, tolerant, mentally stable and informed Muslim will shake hands with Christians and people of other faiths; but when it comes to prayers, he will not allow a person from another faith to exercise that rite on him or his close ones. Why would a popular sociel media personality spread unverifiable claims? To conclude, this is a propaganda narrative based on minsinformarion and falsehood to spread hate against Muslims by portraying the Islamic faith as the reflection of the Islamophobic narration championed by an Israeli propaganda machine and narrated by some unknown person, whose claims and history cannot be verified. Mr Ednut has offered himself, whether paid or not, as a willing vessel to channel such a poisonous message to a Nigerian audience. The Nigerian authorities such as NBC and the ministry of information should look into the spread of such evil intended messages that can stir religious feud. The Nigerian security forces should invite and investigate Mr Ednut to ask him how much he was paid, if at all to spread such an offensive message against Muslims and their faith. CC Seun |

AbuTwins: You talk much about the danger of falling into shirk (idolatry/polytheism). But here you are endorsing it. When you give Allah an image or physical form, He undoubtedly becomes an idol. If Allah had a form or shape, the Prophet would have been shown that form or shape and many copies would have been produced from the original one for Muslims to worship. We would have had pictures of Allah as others have images of their objects of worship. With the Sunni Salafist projection that they will see Allah in the hereafter, the Shia refusal to accept that makes the Shia staunchest believers in Tawhid (monotheism). 1 Like |

YakubuA: I do not want to go into a hadith battle. When I tell you we cant see Allah, doesnt that indicate I dont believe in those hadiths which state to the contrary? And doesnt that signal that there are hadiths from the Prophet which say we can never see Allah, in this life or in the afterlife? You speak about rationality. Is it rational for the Quran to state one thing and for the Prophet to overrule and state another thing? Are you saying the Prophet contradicts the Quran? The Quran doesnt discriminate between this life and the next when we read that "no eyes can grasp Him". Anything contrary to that verse, you should dig deep and look from where the hadith comes from. Certainly, not from the Prophet. If you say the veil would be taken off our eyes in the afterlife, that is true. That verse has to do with the truth of our existence. It doesnt have to do with changing or reducing the nature of Allah or taking the veil off Allah's nature. Do not misinterpret verses or add your own arguments to the Quran. |

YakubuA: What sort of logic do Salafists propagate? If it is not logically for the Creator to be seen by the created eyes because He created everything, then why would He be seen by the same naked eyes in paradise based on Salafist teaching? Is paradise not created by Allah? Are the human eyes in paradise divine eyes? Where is the logic then? Why should there be difference in approach and claim we cant see Allah in our earthly life but we can see Him in our afterlife? 1 Like |

AlBaqir: Well said. Salafism teaches that the people of paradise can see Allah in the hereafter. But that contradicts the verses of the Quran, including the one quoted by the OP that we cant see God. (When the OP presents his Salafist views, he should stop presenting them as the whole Islamic view and nothing exists contrary to that view among Muslims or in Islam. But I'm not surprised because Salafists/Wahhabists want to monopolize Islam and issue certificates on who is a believer and who is not thanks to their Takfiri ideology). Once Allah takes a form or shape, He becomes an idol. Or rather, He becomes like the creatures with a created image that can be grasped by the mind or even reproduced through drawing and painting or in pictures. That makes no sense. The unlimited nature of Allah makes it impossible for Him to be reduced to a limited physical form that the limited eyes of man can see. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

"I was supposed to meet Soleimani at the morning the day he was killed, he came to deliver me a message from Iran responding to the message we delivered from Saudi to Iran" the Iraqi PM said, highlighting that Soleimani was carrying a response from Iran to a Saudi initiative to diffuse tensions in the region. That came after Trump called the Iraqi PM and asked him to mediate. This is a draft resolution so the final vote won't take place today but could take place this week. Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said it is in the interest of both Iraq and the US to end the US troop presence there. The resolution would also ban the use of Iraqi airspace. agabusta: The police is saying through that tweet that non IMN Muslims are free to embark on Ashura procession. Those Shi'ite Muslims they are shooting at for embarking on procession is IMN written on their forehead? I am Shi'ite but not an IMN member. How would police know which Shi'ite or Muslim embarking on Ashura procession is a card holding member of IMN? Whether IMN or not, the Ashura procession is purely a religious event that is marked mainly by Shia Muslims the world over. In all major cities around the world Shi'ite Muslims do their procession peacefully. If the IMN were embarking on a political rally or protest, you can say you can recognize the participants as IMN members and target them because the group is proscribed. The participants in an Ashura procession are marking a religious event. In Nigeria there is freedom of religion. It is not a political march. That should be respected. 2 Likes |

Even in Wahhabi Saudi Arabia where their Shi'ite citizens are persecuted, the Shi'ites hold Ashura procession. Isn't the proscription against the IMN as an organization and not against the Shi'ites or Shia Islam as a religion? The Ashura procession is not a protest rally but a religious ceremony and a religious procession. How does holding a religious procession, which by the way is held annually across major cities across the globe like New York and London, amount to "advancement of terrorism"? Didn't the government say Shi'ites are free to practice their faith? Taking such measure or plan to attack a religious ceremony is uncalled for and unnecessary. People should be allowed to go about their religious ceremonies and processions, as far as it is not a political or protest gathering. If the IGP carries out his threat to kill people on a religious procession, then it belies the government declaration that people are free to practice their faith and only one group or organization, and not a religion, is banned. Islam for Muslims / Re: The Fast Of The 9th (tasu'a) And 10th Day(asuuroh) Of Muharram by Rafidi: 12:55pm On Sep 06, 2019 |
Mustsucceed: It is not a matter of discouraging anyone from fasting. Rather it is an issue of trying to prevent the falsification of Islamic history. The Prophet said: "Deeds are judged by their intentions". The intention of fasting on Tasua and Ashura is not based on piety but on falsehoods. You have to make up your mind on the justifications or motives for fasting on Ashura and Tasua. And those are contradictory justifications in the Sunni hadith sources themselves. Did the Prophet institute the fast of Ashura because he met the Jews of Medina fasting and he wanted to copy them as one of your hadiths alleges? If you say yes, then that is utterly untrue. No fasting of the Jews coincided with the month of Muharram, and particular on the day of Ashura in the first and second year of hijrah when the Prophet newly arriver in Medina. Practical counting and consulting the calendar will reveal that. Also, you have a hadith in one of your (Sunni) most authentic books of hadiths that says the Prophet forbade Muslims from leaving the moustache like the Jews and told them not to copy the Jews. He then asked them to shave the moustache and leave the beards. If the Prophet would dissuade the Muslims from such minor act as leaving a moustache, is it a major act of worship like fasting that he would ask Muslims to copy from another religion? Now you're propagating not only to copy the Jews and their religion, but also attributing a lie that the Prophet ordered you to do that. The other justification says the fast of Ashura already existed in the days of Jahiliyyah or before the Prophet. And that it was replaced with the fast of Ramadan. Meaning the fasting in the month of Muharram became abrogated by the fasting of the month of Ramadan. If this is true, then you are reviving an expired and abandoned tradition which was abrogated and replaced with a better one (in Ramadan). This itself is in clear contradiction of the other account which paints the Prophet as completely unaware of the fast in Muharram and needed to copy it from the Jews. If this fast had existed in pre Islamic Arabia, then the Prophet need not to copy from anyone anything. If we are following a Jewish tradition, then it obliges you as Muslims to follow the Jewish calendar and not the Islamic calendar, based on lunar calculation, because the Jewish fasting is based on the Jewish calendar, based on solar calculation, and it doesn't always coincide with the month of Muharram (even if we are to assume it did coincide in the first or second year of hijrah). Now you need to ask yourselves, why all this beating around the bush and why do you insist yearly on advertising this farce? If this was a well known sunnah and not a political ploy to act as coverup, why do you need to market it to the Muslims? Ashura is centred around the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his family- the household of the Prophet who were killed mercilessly, mutilated, beheaded and tortured in Karbala by the sixth Sunni caliph from the Umayyad dynasty. By the way, majority of Sunnis denounce Yazeed (the sixth caliph) for his crime in Karbala. All the aim at adding the fasting ingredient and also, giving Ashura some other interpretations relating to past prophets is aimed at concealing the Tragedy of Karbala or weakening its impact in the memory of Muslims and is nothing but a concoction by the Umayyad Sunni caliphate and their fabrication machines to distort and conceal the truth that they brutally massacred the Prophet's grandson and his family and companions. The Tragedy of Karbala is an everlasting open wound that questions the entire concept of the Sunni caliphate and takes you back to think over the coup that happened at Saqifah Banu Saedah and how the declaration of the Prophet at Ghadir Khumm was disregarded and hidden and those actions ultimately led to an ugly tragedy against the family of our holy Prophet (s). Everyone Muslim deserves to know the truth. If you're fasting for Allah, you can follow sunnah and do it on Mondays and Thursdays, on the day of Arafah, in the month of Ramadan, in Shaaban, in Rajab and in Shawwal. We don't object to all those. We (Shia) do not dissuade anyone from fasting on all those occasions. So it should be clear to you why we try to explain why the fasting on Tasua and Ashura is not sunnah and not recommended but bid'ah. That is because the motives and intent are not pure and are aimed at concealing the truth. Someone has deliberate concocted this fasting fasad and falsely attribute it to the Prophet as a sunnah, while even painting the Prophet in bad light as someone who copied from the Jews or didn't know the traditions of his own people. 3 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: How El-Zakzaky Was Expelled From ABU, Zaria In 1979 For Violence - The Cable by Rafidi: 3:40pm On Aug 17, 2019 |
ExAngel007: The above is fake news or propaganda to paint Zakzaky this bogeyman ayatollah-overthrowing-image. Ayatollah Khomeini did not overthrow the country's monarchy. He was even in exile in France when the people brought down the Shah or King of Iran. There was widespread popular discontent and revolt for more than two decades before the fall of the Shah. Ayatollah Khomeini provided the leadership to spearhead the revolution. Had Ayatollah Khomeini not been present and even if he wasn't born at all, the Iranians would have still risen up against the monarchy and replaced it with something else. As a religious leader, since Iran is over 90% Shi'ite, the Ayatollah stood up to the test of time and provided the needed leadership and direction his people were in dire need of. He presented himself as a pillar and support they could lean on. Even after the revolution succeeded, the Ayatollah conducted a referendum like any other modern democracy would do. The Iranians voted in favor of establishing an Islamic republic under his leadership. The monarchy that the people rose up against was very pro-western and anti-people. The other option would have been replacing it with a communist system. The Iranians had their own issues with the Soviet Union that at one time occupied half of Iran while the British occupied and ruled the other half. So the only viable alternative the Iranians were left with to give a try was the Ayatollah and an Islamic Republic. So this image that Zakzaky is some sort of a Nigerian Khomeini is wet dream. Zakzaky can never become a Khomeini in Nigeria even if that is his own aspiration. Nigeria is not over 90% Shi'ite, not even a clear cut Muslim majority country. Nigeria is more diverse than Iran. Shi'ites constitute just about 10% of Nigeria's 80 to 100 million Muslims. Many things are not in his favor. To stop Zakzaky becoming Nigeria's Khomeini, the first step would be to prevent whatever would cause people to revolt like the Iranians did in 1950- 1979. Even if such a scenario happens, why would Nigerians of diverse backgrounds enthrone Zakzaky to rule them? Zakzaky, if he truly believes he can become Nigeria's Khomeini is really fantasizing way too far. I do not want to insult him if he really does dream of that because after all he is a religious cleric. I don't want the sin. 20 Likes |

Apparently from the pic, the Sheikh is happy to see this minister. This Indian minister is most likely a Shi'ite Muslim judging by his last name. The name "Naqvi" is a prominent Shi'ite family name in India and Pakistan. Anyone carrying the name is a descendant of Prophet Muhammad through the 10th Shi'ite holy Imam Ali al-Naqi AKA Imam Ali al-Hadi (pbuh). Please do not ask how do I know. I am Shi'ite Muslim but I do not belong to and I am not affiliated with Sheikh Zakzaky's IMN. The Indians are smart. They sent him a fellow Shi'ite who is high ranking in the Indian government to calm his nerves. Not everything is force and power. Diplomacy is key to solving many problems. gaby: You have se x without marriage, whether permanent or temporary (mutah) marriage. You may actually be fornicating while making the above post. How this is your problem among the ills facing Nigerian societies and the north particularly is beyond me. The codeine addiction, the teenage pregnancy, pros titution and child marriage, the fornication and almajiri problems are all not an issue the north is facing for you. You're picking on mutah (temporary marriage or concubinage) out of sectarian prejudice and to misinform, as if the society is so perfect and no se x outside marriage takes place and the only problem it has is mutah. While in reality mutah is a way and a procedural manner to avoid illicit s ex. To the acknowledgement of Sunni Muslims, mutah was practiced and was permitted in the very days of Prophet Muhammad and it is the equivalence of concubinage in the Old Testament Bible. The only difference is that Sunnis believe the Prophet later discontinued the practice and forbade it, while the Shi'ites believe the Prophet never discontinued it but the second Sunni caliph (Umar) was the one who did. Therefore Shi'ites still practice it under certain rules, conditions and guidelines, especially with widows and divorced while Sunnis do not. Yet, Sunnis engage in other newly fabricated forms of temporary se xual contracts including what is referred to as "Misyar". Most people who engage in sexual acts do not even care about following any procedural contract or form of marriage. They just strip and and have s ex. It is not the existence or absence of mutah that makes youths have or not to have s ex. you can read more on mutah: www.mutah.com 8 Likes |

Until other countries/govts treat American citizens seeking their visas with reciprocity, the US government will continue to bully citizens of other countries while applying for visa. Americans applying for Nigerian visa should also be screened as Nigerians are screened while applying for US visa. Fair play is the name of the game. Just like football. America is always sending spies and agents that threaten the national security of other nations. Similar screening of Americans will protect other nations too. |

AbdulHakeem44: This actually is your problem. Not ours. It shows the confusion and ignorance among your clerics. Ignorance that leads to extremism like the one you are treading on, even after one of your Saudi role models has recanted his stance. A Wahhabi/Salafist Sunni imam who was in support of Shia before coming out to say "Shi'a are heretics" has not happened yet. The norm of Wahhabism/Salafism has always been spreading division among Muslims until they see the light and repent. What we have seen are the ones who have flowed in the stream of sectarian extremism, division of Muslims, and inciting and instigating the bloodshed of innocent Muslims (who hold a different interpretation of the faith) seeing "the light" and retracing their steps and declaring that they have been wrong to label (Shia) Muslims - who fast in the holy month of Ramadan, uphold the five daily prayers, read the same Quran, believe in the same Prophet and face the same qiblah - as "heretics". It is a good development but also sad that this man's fatwa calling a big segment of Muslims "heretics" has contributed to inciting the sectarian bloodshed and attacks on Shia Muslims in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world. Perhaps, you too can pick up a book or two or more and read to dispel your ignorance and be enlightened for the good of the Muslim ummah as a whole. 3 Likes 1 Share |

drakeli: Oga, why are you fabricating history? You cannot say because Palestinian nationalism is 200 years old (the need for nationalism started then), so the Palestinian people only existed in Palestine 200 years ago. What kind of logic is that? It is like claiming that because Nigeria came into being in 1914, Nigerians did not exist before 1914 and are even refugees or migrants from Cameroon and Benin and chad. That's falsifying history. The ottomans ruled Palestine for close to a thousand years; the majority weren't Jews. If the romans did not call it Palestine, the Palestinians could have been called Canaanites. Before the term "Israelite" and "Jewish" existed, there were Canaanites on that land. Also the term "Philistine" existed before israelites (check your bible) and from that word is "Palestine" derived. In fact, Syrians, Lebanese, Jordanians and Palestinians are racially similar. They are not exclusively migrants from Arabia. Nations of mixed races and different conquered propels assimilated into arabism. All you need is check for the origin of the Palestinian people. Check genetic studies that have been conducted and the languages they spoke over the centuries. Zionists claim that the Palestinian people never existed and fooled the world to believe in the early 20th century that the victimized Palestinians are "Arabs" from Arabia because they spoke Arabic. It is like saying Nigerians are English because they spoke English and therefore belong to england. I was once listening to a BBC program and a Palestinian Christian woman called Hanan Ashrawi was interviewed. This was about twenty years ago. She's a Palestinian lawmaker. She said that her family traces its roots to five thousand years in Palestine from the days of the Canaanites. Her family history in Palestine is older than the birth of both the Jewish and Muslim progenitor, Abraham. There are Palestinian Christians who either did not come from Arabia, and same as many Palestinian Muslims. There are Palestinian Muslim families who trace their origin to biblical Samaritans. Some to Mizrahi Jews . others trace their roots to romans, turks and also Arabians. The Arabians left their indelible mark. They did not only conquer for power and administration. When they conquer a land, they give the people in it religion (islam) or language (Arabic) or both. The same reason black Sudanese are "Arabs". If their influence would have been stronger and penetrated deeper south into Africa, Nigerians could have identified as Arabs as well, and even Igbo. Even if you dont accept Islam, they will still give you their language. The reason Egypt is called " Arab republic". The same reason you find Arabic speaking Christians in Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Egypt. These were areas which once had their own language, Aramaic and Coptic languages. The Palestinians are a people of mixed races and origins. The Jew from Europe today may have no racial ties to the land. The Ashkenazi/Khazarian Jews of Europe are White European converts into Judaism. They have no historical connection or genetic connection to Palestine. But because he's a Jew, and Judaism sprouted from Palestine, he wants everyone else who's not practicing Judaism in Palestine to clear out! Its just religion and the farce of making the definition of "Jew" ethno-religious instead of purely religious. The apartheid rule in Palestine is no different from what happened in south Africa. White people trying to dominate others. Christian Europe have a problem with Jews. The Holocaust an example and far back, the inquisition another example. So they transferred their mess to the middle east for the Muslims to suffer for their problem after world war 2. Always consult your history texts before making historical mistakes. |

It is not when senators are having a tough time that the senate should think about impeachment. Any attempt to impeach the president can endanger next year's election. He will just arrest all of them and declare state of emergency or dissolve the national assembly. They are just fooling around. The president still remains the strongest man in the land and with a strong president on seat, they will just commit suicide if they attempt to impeach him. What they should do at this time is to shelve selfish interests. The opposition and the opposition parties and opposition figures should unite for the interest of the country and the poor economy everyone is suffering from. They should put in place a convincing method to choose a genuine, young and viable northern figure (with an attractive VP candidate from the south) who will contest next year's election. All the big names should come together and work together behind the opposition candidate like APC did for 2015. brodalokie: And I am telling you many if not most of the European Jews have no ties to Palestine. They are Khazars who converted to Judaism. The Mizrahi Jews are the ones with ties to Palestine/Middle East. And they had always been there alongside Muslims and Christians. |

brodalokie: Oga, it looks like talking to you is a waste of valuable time. Look at your statement in the above quoted post: "After the flood, there were no Ishmaelite, Greeks, Palestinians or Romans. Only Noah and his children who spread across the whole earth. Ham founded Egypt and his son Cannan founded Cannan land which Abraham's children possessed and the Canaanites who was originally there are the Palestinians." Weren't Abraham, ishamael, Isaac, all after Noah? You have no understanding even of biblical history it appears. Abraham came after Noah. How could the descendants of Abraham be wiped out during the flood when they did not even exist? The Palestinian people are descendants of a myriad of races and nationalities that entered that area. They're not a pure breed. They descended from Noah, through Canaan, from Abraham, through both Ishmael and Isaac, from romans, turks, Persians etc. It just happens that the last rulers of that land were Arabians...and the Arabic culture reigned dominated and the people were culturally assimilated. They became Arabic speaking, instead of Aramaic which was preexisting, and Muslims and Christians along with the Jews. |

King44: Most countries of the European Union voted against the move. Are they not Christians? Because they know the truth that Jerusalem belongs to its people regardless of what religions/ languages jerusalemites follow. |
