You did well but this scenario is not in Nigeria. We are a roadside assistance provider and all that you outlined is not available here. Last Christmas on my way to ikoyi to sing Christmas carols with my children, my car stopped on the ascent to ikoyi from 3rd mainland in the night. Immediately 6 guys came out of hiding and assisted in pushing the car out of the road. I quickly locked my children in the car and called one of the trucks in VI to come over and lied to the area boys that my boys were coming from Dodan Barracks. They were subtily telling me that the last motorist that they helped gave them 100 dollars. Lo and behold, the good boys arrived (Lagos RRS) and I was relieved and the area boys sneaked away and immediately, my truck arrived and towed me back to the mainland. Another lady had a breakdown under the bridge near muson center and she called for help and even though she declined to pay the charges, I advised her to move away from the car and go to the army flag house before help came but she refused and 10 minutes later she called and I heard her being robbed and she had the peace of mind to give them everything except the phone. Another lady called me close to midnight on 3rd mainland because her Honda answered her name and I told her to leave the car and walk back to Adekunle Bridge to stay with the police where a truck was arranged for her. No insurance coverage for road side assistance in the country. If any motorist has a breakdown in any part of Lagos, they are always at their wits end and at the mercy of area boys.

Changed top gasket two weeks ago & that's also "burnt" now & he's at his wits end about what to do; the vehicle can be okay one moment (moves smoothly, no overheat) & the next moment, the transmission isn't responding then overheats and you've to park it.

Is it the BMW engine if it is the 2005 Range Rover? I am in Lagos. Ask him what type of Engine oil he has been using. Does the transmission shows the prnd light on the dashboard? When was the last time they changed the gear oil and which type of oil? Let someone check it out over there.

It is difficult to top it because it has no guage to determine the level of oil to add. Drain everything and put fresh WS fluid. Whether cold or warm, it's the same thing because to flush out the oil from the torque converter, the engine must be running.

Total mvlv for the gear oil. it is cheaper than type WS in gallon and there's a new oil in town, zeal engine oil. I have not used it but it has all the ingredients for Toyota cars
