We need to really work hard on our talents

Talent is not a lucrative trade in Nigeria.

I have seen wonder kids in football and sports ending up going to law school or med school because there is no jope or future in nigeria sports.

Our colleges dont place value on sports or even Uni.

But in UK and US a sportman or athlete can get you an admission.

Competence over race and tribe has made great countries that is why asians can neve beat the west or even the russians.

Us will rather give scholars from china citizenship
Athlete from africa citizenship
Arab engr citizenship
Jew scientist same.

Any sphere of life you come you will not be able to defeat them

Competence is lacking in nigeria.
We pray for favour and divine connection.
Well we have seen how far we have gone

You have spoken well. Each time I see a Nigerian name representing another country in the Olympics, my heart shatters. But I understand their reasons, what will they gain by representing Nigeria? Can Nigeria secure their future?

Family / Re: My Wife Doesn’t Respect Or Love Me Any More And I Think I Caused It by SweetyZinta(f): 10:25am On Jun 18
ScotHarvath:

Thank you!

You mentioned her family, let me tell you a story and see if any man here can tolerate what I have tolerated.

On our daughter’s naming, her mother called me that she needed money or something. I was about to cut my hair, was even on the seat when the call came in.

I rushed down to my house, only to see her brother-in-law and her friend seating in the house.

I stood in the parlor talking to my wife and this friend totally ignored me for like five minutes, in my living room as if she didn’t see anyone.

My wife didn’t say anything, the brother didn’t say anything. When I asked who the Bleep is this that can’t greet, do you know what they told me?

They said I don’t always calm down that the friend didn’t see me. Now my point is even if my wife was foolish then, couldn’t the elder brother who is supposed to be wiser, speak up and ask the girl whom he introduced to me as his babe that “didn’t you see my in-law”!

They both said nothing and witnessed the disrespect, without saying anything until I lost my temper and walked the friend out of my house.

Guess what, the brother-in-law followed her and don’t come for the naming.

So sorry again! The family has issues and will likely encourage their daughter. I insist, take her to her family and leave her there to stay and disrespect them too.

If this marriage finally fails, the next woman I will date will see another version of me

So sorry for what you are passing through.
I have been seeing people reacting differently and blaming you. Hmmmm I weak! You sound like a good man so here is my advice. Are you from the same state/village? Have you reported her to any of her parents before now?

You need to take her back to her family and tell her family everything she has been doing to you. After everything watch the family's body language, you will know if they support her behaviour or not. After then, still leave her there and go back with your kids alone. Tell her to learn how to treat a man cos you are also tired of her attitude!! Since you work from home, you can be able to take care of your kids, if she insists you can leave the kids with her. Let her stay there for at least a month and see the difference.

Some women are possessed by some spirits and they pressure and kill good men only to realise that they have lost a treasure. May God be with you!

Please I’ve been thinking about this since last year. I teach here In Nigeria. I can’t afford to go to the western or Asian countries but I think I can be able to save to move to Gabon to atleast teach.

I’ve checked their minimum wage, unemployment rate and their exchange rate snd I think it’s better off than Nigeria. Please advise me. I’m still single and in my mid 30s.

Is it worth taking a try? I know no one there.

I am willing to take the risk to go look for a job there with what I’ve saved so far. I’m projecting 500k.

Please I honestly and sincerely need your advice

Please save at least 1M if you are not going there by Bus

People rarely talk about how much thinkering men go through in finding/choosing a life partner.

I'm at that point in my life and is really not an easy thing or decision.

If you schooled in Nigeria, both secondary and high institution and you have a Facebook or WhatsApp group, it is time to look within. At least they are not entirely strangers to you. You might have been liking one of them. Time to give them a chance. If you had told us the places you tried to find a wife material and failed we can know better how to advice you. Good luck

Computers / Re: Laptop Bag With USB Port: I Want To Import This. Will It Sell In Nigeria? by SweetyZinta(f): 3:47pm On Jun 29, 2023
HanisahZuwy:
This is a laptop bag with USB port. I would like to import it, but I don't know if it'll sell here in Nigeria. What do you think? Do you think I should import it or not? What would you rather I import instead? What would you advise me to import instead? I mean a fast moving product/products. I need your opinions/suggestions please. Thanks.

You have made a mistake already by bringing it to a public forum like this to discuss. Now like 10 people would have started selling it too. You would have made your research quietly on places like jumia, konga or even amazon. See if it is best seller and the likely price you can sell. Good luck to you

I also plan adding backpack. So that it won't be only laptop bag. What do you all think?

saweide:
Pls something is really bothering my mind and I pray I will find good advice here.

I reside in Port-Harcourt about 1 and half years ago Iost my cousin. He died of heart attack. After his death, his wife has been getting closer to me, always calling me and visiting me and am still single. I have had failed relationships in the past. I have been so unlucky with the kind of ladies I met. They are always violent and disrespectful which I dislike so much.

But during my cousins lifetime, she was so good, cool and caring to my cousin and they never had any misunderstanding and they married for just 6 years here in Port Harcourt before he died and they never had a child due to infertility on the side of the cousin. But now everyone like friends and family knows me and scared if I should make advances to her if they won't be saying things against me or should I just forget and look for another lady to marry.

Pls i need ur serious advise. She has fallen in love with me already.

In my own opinion, just do necessary medical tests such as genotype, fertility or St's and proceed. Stay blessed.
