Buhari will not win because the politicians including Bola-ole Tinubu are afraid of him. Do you think Buhari will allow Deziani, Akpabio, Udughan, Amaechi and all them that have stashed away our public money to get away with it? Remember Umaru Dikko in a crate? There would be no hiding place for the thieves if Buhari wins. The APC thieves are not interested in winning the presidency. They want to maintain the chop-i-chop PDP status quo. Buhari will turn their heads upside down. That is a risk they are not prepared to take. They are now insinuation that Buhari will force christians to attend mosques on Fridays. No such thing. He did not do that when as a military head of state he had absolute power. He still allowed Sundays to be work free days, Fridays were not. Let us grow up as a nation. Let us learn how to think beyond these ethnic and religious boundaries that these thieves have erected in our poor minds. |
Pres. Jonathan's quotes: Corruption is not Nigeria's number one problem. Stealing is not corruption. |
I have traveled through that road and it is very deplorable. I hear the Works Minister that all Nigeria's highways are superb. I think it is his bank accounts that are superb. The contractors on that raod are gone, leaving it worse than they found it. Many drivers detour into the villages sometimes through the homes of the Umuapu people. The villagers are now resisting. With a major international airport in Omagwa, you would think that the federal government will upgrade all the access roads near it. But this is Nigeria; mediocrity rules and nobody is held accountable. |
There is one reason this lady is still a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria - STANDARDS. This administration has zero standards. I had hoped that after 15 years (1999-2014), our democracy would have started taking baby steps, at least. Jonathan does not have any ethical standards. Don't blame just him . Obasanjo never did. Yar'Adua didn't either. We are all sitting in a huge, moving, stinky bus being driven by successive incompetent and unlicenced drivers. We don't know where we are being driven. Our luggages are being stolen by conductors as we stop and go along this road with no signs and no mile markers. To make the matters worst, there are no illegal police checkpoints, and this is supposed to be Nigeria. Something is wrong with this journey. |
I thought he had something to offer until it emerged he took millions of naira in bank loans that he failed to pay back. I lost the moral connection I had with him. |
Please tell me you are not a graduate. YOU OVERHEAD. You intend to apply for a job with your OVERHEAD. |
All Nigerians see where this is heading. The concentration to make sure that GEJ does not last till 2019 is intense. GEJ is adamant. OBJ and some other weights; heavy or dead feel another four years of GEJ will totally remove them from pull on the strings. I am coming more and more to terms that we will have not two but three or four Nigerias by 2015, not for any idealogical divides but because of selfishness of those who believe they own Nigeria and anything that crawls inside it. GEJ's chief fault is that he has surely encourgaed corruption. We don't need OGJ's open or closed letters to see that. GEJ is right in his assertion that corruption which has been with us since the early advent of military into government is limiting Nigeria's development. We wish he could have had enough courage to confront the scourge. As the drama unfolds, we get to know why. |
Nigeria is a multiplex movie theater. Just pick a show and the scenes are almost the same. Unfortunately we are being charged too much (corruption and bad governance) for these kindergarten productions. A governor utilizes state money in a mass marriage project of children - look at the kids' faces, and that is supposed to be legitimate expenditure. Put that under CAPITAL PROJECT in the budget. Walahi! I don't laf shit 4 my sokoto. Ah haa, he is now a PROGRESSIVE GOVERNOR. Is this a taste of APC. Somebody please wake me up from this bad dream called Nigeria Project. |
It always looks greener on the other side until you get there. I know thousands of Nigerians who would love to come back home on an 8,000,000 naira anuual income. |
"I, IYABO OBASANJO never contemplate writing a letter to my Loving Father" "I speak with him almost on daily bases" "He gave birth to me, he raise me up and gave me the best of Education" " I wouldn't have achieve whatever I did without my father" "IN FACT, WHO AM I WOTHOUT MY FATHER?" "As a father he never disappoint his children in any way" "If Mr. President disagree with some of the allegations in the latter" "he should stop involving me in an issue I know nothing about" "If that is how Ijaw people insult their father" " I am a Yoruba Woman, we respect our parent in all circumstances" "The purported letter is a malicious lies intended to rubish the good name of my family, when I get to the source of the letter, I will waste no time to take the necessary legal actions. "I love my father and I never disrespect him." I guess any motor park boy can get on his tecno phone and become Iyabo Obsanjo and type away. The words and sentence structures of this stupid rejoinder could not have been written by someone with Iyabo Obasanjo's level of education. |
People ultimately get leaders that reflect them. |
Other than crying, what else can I do (for my country)? Is it okay for me to pray and ask God to let all past and present Nigerian leaders to reap the fruits of their labours on all of us? Who amongst them will be free from that ultimate punishment? Are our leaders not condemning themselves to the same fate they have slushed on us; they have see us suffer every day. Can I pray for a 'miracle'. A 'miracle' for our looters to have a collective change of heart. Would that be possible? When would we collectively say.....ENOUGH. |
Of all the past presidents and the present CIC (Corruption-In-Chief) Jonathan, only Muhammadu Buhari and Shehu Shagari can semi-honestly look us in the eyes and utter a word about fighting corruption. OBJ knows better. The bad thing is that Buhari can't be president in the present day Nigeria. He is feared by all the corrupt politicians who know where he would put them once he is president. He has not done himself a favour. He is too north-o-centric for the present day Nigeria. Buhari - the corruption fighting president we will never have. |
Jonathan corruption fight will be remembered for Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, Stella Odua, Deziani Allison-Madueke, NNPC, Anthony Anenih, Patience Jonathan, Goodluck Jonathan, etc. It will be hard to top this administration's love for graft. Hopefully, we will bump on a Nigerian man (or woman) who loves Nigeria so much that the fight on corruption will make common sense. Who does not know that corruption is the number one ill holding us down from development? |
When it comes to fighting corruption, I had high hopes when GEJ assumed office. I am probably the most disappointed Nigerian now. He has disgraced us all; especially those who still respect the academia world. |
GEJ has given CLUELESS a new meaning. |
Until the average Nigerian on the street has had enough of this "don't give a damn" syndrome, our crooked politicians won't give a damn. \ Who doesn't believe that GEJ has emerged as the most corrupt Nigerian leader? No because he is current occupier of the office of the presidency, but because he is the most enabler of this huge eye sore on Nigeria. When the head is rotten, can the bottom be clean? |

Nigerians who have left good leadership footprints; 1. Nuhu Ribadu (Anti Corruption) 2. Dora Akunyuli (Quality & Transparent Service) 3. Babatunde Fashola (when he is not giving away the state treasury to Tinubu) - Infrastructure Developement 4. Muhammadu Buhari (Anti Corruption/War Against Indiscipline) 5. Shehu Shagari {Selfless but weak - left the house for the rats (aka Umuau Dikko)} 6. Tunde Idiagbon (Genuine no nonsense) 7. Obafemi Awolowo (although very tribalist, numerous footprints in all of SW Nigeria) |
1. Buhari 2. Tunde Idiagbon 3. Nuhu Ribadu 4. n/a 5. n/a |
Some of our supposedly houses of our Lord have lost their ways. The church leaders are in the ministry for mostly selfish reasons and that has dragged the church down. There is something morally wrong when a church leader has four luxury jets when church members are not able to send their own children to same school that their church owns and for which they are heavily 'taxed' by the church. In Nigeria, the ministry for the most part, has become a comercial enterprise, a corrupt one. |
Where are the youths of this country? Why should you allow these fools to continue to steal your future? In a few weeks (or months), cash will exchange hands, ASUU will call off strike, and you will go back to this. In the meantime, the fools will continue to loot your resources. Your future is in your hands. |
Right now they are been carried out to Lasuth Hospital, and talking to us right now is the doctor in charge of lasuth hospital and he said they will be treated free of charge. Dont go anywhere. Am still Godson reporting for nairaland news Wow. I cry for my country. So trivial to comment on this pressman's grammar on a day like this. But i think we are getting sick and tired of very poor grammar on the pages of our newspapers. Whatever happened to editing? Product of endless ASUU strikes and oga at the toppism. |
May the departed souls RIP. But these people stealing our resources without remorse, today ought to be somber day. A day to reflect on your actions. Reflect on the pain you are inflicting on your fellow human beings. It is one thing to steal all you can, get off shore health care with our money you stole, but where will be your resting place when all that off shore health care won't guarantee you long life. They say dead body so dey see. But how would people remember and talk about you on day like this. I wish Agagu had a better resting place. DEAD BODY COME GET ACCIDENT....RIP. |
VERY FUNNY! DOES JONATHAN KNOW HIS OWN SALARY? HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED HIM TO GIVE US BACK HALF OF HIS LOOTS SINCE HE BECAME DEPUTY GOVERNOR IN BAYELSA AND WE CAN HAVE FIVE WORLD CLASS HOSPITALS IN EACH STATE OF THE COUNTRY WITHIN SIX MONTHS. |
Beware of free stuff. |
Is that why we never has power outage in 1990? |
GEJ is not known for his charm and charisma. Sunday night was no exception. In these info light speed sdays, leaders inspire changes with their words, body language and deads. And they are captured instantly. GEJ have to tranform his style of relating and communicating to my country people. Most Nigerians see him at the head of a very corrupt government. he can begin to change that with words, body langauge and actions. We dey watch oooooo. |
Good move GEJ. Don't cave in when the big looters who own the private jets pressure you. It is about time you stand for something. |
How about sand-bags behind them and match in the boys? |
