That seat of the Benin King is for an Omoba. What does his title mean in so called Edo? Edo does not have a uniform language or homogeneity. It’s very diverse because it has always been that way. That Ukaoplopolo is simply Opolopo... for every body in the kingdom. His title is Yoruba by interpretation but has been watered down through the years by other migrant languages. Ado was a Yoruba town, which had all sorts of migrants from surrounding areas from the current Edo state area. Especially the Esan or Ishan who greatly influenced the culture of what Benin is today.
