You read it wrongly. It is not that the presidency said so. The headline is just saying that Obj is shocked with Atiku’s victory in the primaries in the context of presidential election related matters. If you read the content, you won’t find any reference to a presidency official.

It is just like an headline saying, Kwara: Saraki reclaims senatorial seat. It just means the news is in context of Kwara politics.

Abuja – The National body of the All Progressives Congress(APC) has said that Sen. Shehu Sani remained its only senatorial candidate from Kaduna Central.

The Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Yekini Nabena, gave the clarification in an interview in Abuja on Sunday.

He said Sani was the only senatorial candidate from the zone that was duly recognised by the national body.

Sen. Shehu Sani had distanced himself from the primary election held in the state on Saturday, where he was said to have lost to Special Adviser to Gov. Nasir El-rufai on Political Affairs, Malam Uba Sani.

The Returning Officer of the primary held at Murtala Muhammef Square, Kaduna, Prof. Eddie Floyd-Igbo, declared Uba Sani, a Special Adviser to Gov. Nasiru El-Rufa’i, as the winner with 2,088 votes, while Shehu Sani garnered only 15 votes.

A other rival, Usman Ibrahim-Sardauna, was said to have secured only 129 votes.

Nabena, however, reiterated that, “as far as Kaduna Central Zone 2 is concerned, the only candidate is Sen. Shehu Sani.

“Yes election took place in that zone because of the House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly but for the senatorial position the only candidate is Sen. Shehu Sani.

“The governor cannot dictate to the party.”

The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that the APC headquarters had announced Sen. Shehu Sani as it’s only candidate cleared to contest the Kaduna Central senatorial seat in 2019 elections.(NAN).

The federal executive council, at the request of lagos state government and recommendation of president Buhari, approved the transfer of the former state house to lagos state government which the state government intends to convert to a museum.

Fashola, being the Minister of works only executed the approval of the president and FEC. The beneficiary is Lagos State government, nothing involved Tinubu

Tinubu is holding Lagos state and southwest Nigeria to ransom. Did some few reasearch about him and I found out that he’s the *REAL OBA* of the whole southwest Nigeria. The man has bought and converted almost all FG projects and turned it into private owned investments, fashola sold almost all FG properties to him under the guise of privatization. Ambode is the only one that’s trying to stop this, and the whole state is against him. How do we want this country to move ahead?
What baffles me the most is why he’s been feared and revered in the SW part of our country
Seems he is the only son of Oduduwa or he’s Oduduwas incarnate on earth.
The whole SW should man up and change it for this criminal, rather than applaud and herald him like a champion

Fashola is not in charge of privatization of FG assets, how could he have sold all to Tinubu?

Another thing I noticed is that Justice Abang, the notorious APC Judge was exonerated of the well known and conspicuous offences he has been committing!!

Efunwape is a lawyer, not a judge, so the NJC cannot discipline him either by warning or any sanction. So, his case was referred to his profession’s disciplinary committee for further action.

In the case of Dibiagwu, he is a judge and therefore, the NJC was able to discipline him by warning him. In an official environment, Warning is not mere as you put it anyway.

To be fair to Nicholas Ukachukwu, he has been in APGA for years when Bianca was in Spain as Ambassador and Ifeanyi Ubah was in PDP. The man supported APGA financially and materially. The ambition of Bianca and Ifeanyi Ubah was just a recent thing. You cant just go into a farm somebody else has been tending just because you suddenly got hungry

Nicholas only decamped to APGA in November 2017 in the run-up to the last year gubernatorial election in anambra.
In fact, he was a governorship aspirant under PDP for that election before he decamped.

You want them to devote two full days for an election in what is at best, a back-water state?

Election coverage is a service that is neither sponsored nor paid for. The time they use to air the election is the time they could have used to air sponsored programs. That is apart from expenses incurred in sending their staff to the field. They don’t get subventions, how will they foot their bills?

Government owned media can afford such luxury, for private owned ones, that is economically unwise.

The guy you quoted is right. You are the one being narrow minded.

The total civil servants in Osun is less than 40,000. Let us say each has 10 direct dependents, that makes it 400,000 in a state of about 4 million people. So you think because 1% is being paid half salary on which let us add another 10% dependents, then the remaining 90% are poor and can’t pay tithe.

Osun is an agrarian state not a civil service state. Even the pastor being quoted acknowledged that infrastructure was being developed by the state though he derided that as ‘standard’. I say infrastructure to be enjoyed by 100% of populace is as standard as paying salaries to 1% since the revenue of government is extremely limited.

They have a College of Medicine and a multi-system hospital. I'm not sure but I think they were using the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti before they built theirs.
I still don't deny Dr Ada's exploits. What I do not understand is the report that all the 43 students had distinctions in 8 out of about 10 medical courses. So all the 43 were that good? Or is their grading system different from that of other medical schools in Nigeria?

The best student - Ada had 3 distinctions, the second placed had 2, while the third and fourth had 1 distinction each. Apart from those 4, no one else got distinction

The man actually upgraded the facilities in FMC Ido including hostels for clinical students to meet MDCN benchmark which they used until he commissioned the multi system hospital in Ado Ekiti though the pioneer set didn’t get to use the newly built one.

Constitution requires every state to have a representative in the federal executive council. Where the president post a minister is at his discretion but he must appoint a minister from each state. Is SGF a minister? Is he subject to senate approval?

Ogun State has one rep - Adeosun. Osun State rep is the minister of health.

There is a vacancy in the ministry of finance and there is no minister of state in that ministry to take over unlike what happened in ministry of mines and steel when fayemi resigned. You expect the president to leave the post vacant when the new nominee from Ogun State must still be confirmed by the senate before being sworn in?

This a re-run election not a run-off election

Omisore is still a candidate in the re-run. All the parties that participated in the main election will still be involved. A candidate cannot officially step down for another at this stage. He can only campaign that people should not vote for him

The guy is right. Omisore is from Osun East. Adeleke represents Osun West

Ahmed did not replace the ogun slot of Adeosun, she only took over her position in the ministry of finance. Ogun slot will still be filled but the nominee may not be posted to finance ministry. Osun State slot is not vacant, the minister of health is from Osun.
