kgr28:Well Tayo has had his DS and he did not apologise. He actually reteriated the same thing he said yesterday that he only gave just a bit of what he could have said. Miss P had her own DS after him and she revised her list of top 3 which she gave yesterday - Goitse, Idris and Ellah to Goitse, Idris and Tayo. Her reason for dropping Ellah is that she just simply doesn't deserve winning the money. She feels Idris is playing double game while she feels Tayo is playing the game well but displays weakness when you least expect him to. She is of the opinion that Goitse has very strong character. |

njokusboy:In this case, I don't think she is really foolish. She only paid vimbai back in her own coins. Vimbai had been rubbing her negatively since yesterday morning - From ask her what is the monetary value of her veejay to valuing her shoes at $20/$30. On this ocassion, Ellah accepted Uti's invitation to visit Lagos but only replied Vimbai that way when she interjected her conversation with uti. Vimbai made it sound as if Ellah could not afford the ticket to honour Uti's invitation hence her offer of sponsorship. |
Safarigurl:The site still exist. Last year (the chase), its address was bigbrotherafricaforum.tv (not .com as in previous year) but this year (hotshot), it is known as bigbrotherafricafans.com |

I don't care if it was Gej or even Shekau that got rid of Ebola in nigeria. Today is one of few days one is proud of naija. Anytime news break about nigeria, I always go to Yahoo News site not for the news but for the comments from those white supremacists. You wouldnt be disappointed about what you knew they would say. Today is refreshingly different. They use nigeria case to turn the heat on Obama. Many ignorantly but arrogantly claimed that nigeria was able to contain Ebola because it closed its borders to all Ebola stricken countries and wondered why Obama would not do the same. A notorious Danny wrote "let us hire these people to handle our crisis. Common sense always a better choice than political posturing" . He got good ratings. For once the supremacists are not writing about Nigeria Scam Prince |
Emmanueledu:JJ of Zimbabwe really? Zim has only one hm on the chopping board while nigeria has two yet Zims would be sleeping and allow their only one go home. Impossicant. |
^^^ Good suggestion about subsidizing at source (crude oil) hopefully Nigerian factor will not creep in. I will rather government hands off everything. Hard way. Yes. But it appears the only way. The refineries we are expecting in future are supposed to be privately owned not government. How do we subsidize private companies? What happen if refineries are set up based on the subsidized crude scenario and there is a change in government and consequential change in policy? We will be back to square one. Cement price is higher now than 10 years ago when we were importing but NLC and TUC had not called for strike because they know it arose from pure private economic decision. If it had been that government initially subsidized limestone and later withdraw it to cause this high price, there would have been social unrest. |
ratiken:@bolded. It is this kind of mis-interpretation that gets the hope of masses high and when such wrong hope is not met, they accuse government of insincerity. Local refining of petroleum and subsidy are mutually exclusive and in no way related. Subsidy arose because the cost to the pump of fuel is higher than the price the government/public think is affordable to the paying public and since the full economic cost of production and distribution must be paid, government cushions the effect hence, the subsidy. In case of local production, the only cost that may not be incurred is the shipping cost of the refined products to nigeria and what is the percentage of that to the total costs? The savings from that may even be wiped out by higher cost of other variables. Local production is highly desirable because it will generate employment, reduce pressure on forex, put our destiny in our own hands and remove the shame of being just raw materials supplier BUT it may not reduce the pump price of fuel to the level that most Nigerians wrongly envisage unless the price of crude crashes which is another sad story from another perspective. If you read the OPs article well, while the FG promised local production by 2018, it did not say it will remove subsidy by 2018 because they are not related. If the government can summon the political will and damn all consequences, it should be able to remove the subsidy long before then even as early as after the elections. Subsidy is an internal nigeria arrangement, it does not concern the refineries (whether local or foreign) since the marketers must pay them in full before they can lift the products. |
Theben:They are paying for it. So how do they depend on us for survival? If anything, we can say we need them more in this transaction than they need us. Nigeria adopted Russia-Europe gas business model and invested heavily in the WAGP which is presently largely idle and may be unprofitable. If we now have the opportunity to increase the utilization, does that call for mis-yarning? |
GreatFatherson:I was about replying him but saw yours. 1 million likes. |
Flango:I think it will be a bad business if Lasg continues to pour money into balogun stadium. The day the national stadium spring back will mark the beginning of decline of balogun stadium. They are too co-located abeg. |
14:For the records, he did not smash the glasses on the day of his eviction. He smashed the glass door of the holding bay on the day that Lucile (that beautiful lass that he was apparently eyeing) was evicted. That was a week before his eventual eviction. People used that incident to campaign against him that he was violent, hence he was voted out the following week. |
Eeyaah. The guy used the small money he gathered to pursue PDP nomination. Now before he could recoup, that unsympathetic judge poured sand into his garri. The way Fintiri opened the tap of the state treasury right from his first week in office - buying cars for all LG chairmen and traditional rulers, etc, Adamawa would have had it if he wins the bye-election. His Speaker position is still thankfully reserved for him. Adamawa has been ruled in the past 2 months by the "Actings". Acting Governor, Acting Speaker and Acting Chief Judge. Let each person reverts to his substantive position. |
abbakacici: abbakacici:You are wrong. When a governor is removed and the deputy takes over, the constitution stipulates that the deputy takes over as substantive governor not as acting governor and he will complete the tenure of office of the removed governor. There will be no election in Adamawa until February 28 2015 when general gubernatorial elections take place throughout the country and ngilari is going to be in office until May 29 2015. If he stands for election on 28/2/2015 and wins, he will start a new fresh term of four years on May 29 2015. |
ovadoze: Tinubu to Obasanjo in 2011Nothing wrong with that. It is all politics. In order to get to power, you need both your friends and enemies. When you have gotten it, you separate the wheat from the chaff. During 2007 elections in which tinubu was propping fasola, Obj said about tinubu that the only thing verifiable about him is that he is a human being, every other things about him are fake and implored lagosians to distance themselves from such being. What is happening today? Don't be surprised if Chief Edwin Clark is the next person to visit Obj to solicit his support for GEJ. Does that make Clark or gej subservient to obj? The mere fact that you stooped down to greet a dwarf does not reduce you to his height because after the greetings, you regain your height while he still remains closer to the ground. |
oshyno: Tinubu going to collect his money sharply b4 GEJ changes his mind.Ribadu saw nothing. As at today, Ribadu has no chance to be the presidential candidate of any of the two leading parties. In 2011, ACN knew it had no chance in hell of winning presidential election against PDP and therefore was ready to 'dash' the candidacy to any Johnny just come just to show appearance unlike now that the merged parties have a fighting even if remote chance against pdp. Don't equate exposure in the media to political (grassroots) worth. Ribadu cannot defeat Buhari or Atiku in a party primaries even if conducted in his bedroom. Pdp conveniently sidelined him in Adamawa bye-election and there is no report yet of political backlash to pdp. |
new2020: A lot of Nigerians disregard Professor Iwu solely for his stewardship of INEC! Even with Jesus at INEC, there would be electoral fraud in Nigeria. Professor was well ahead of his peers in Ebola research. He is a well respected fellow and scholar in the field of Pharmacognosy and Pharmacy. Won numerous awards in US and UK....PRIOR TO BECOMING INEC CHAIRMAN.Fashola said as much as reported by Vanguard Maurice Iwu, who is a Professor of Pharmacognosy, was appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in June 2005, and was later removed from office in April 2010. |
Descartes: He will be sacked !!He won't be sacked. That interview was conducted by the presidential media directorate led by Abati and published in 'Villascope' - an in-house journal of the Aso Villa last month. It was only culled by the newspaper that just republished it. The contents of the journal would have been screened by the security agents before publication. |
Wow. This 25 kobo coin was so heavy, you could use it for weightlifting exercise.

@OP. The scenario you described is where a plane crash-landed not a situation of plane crash. |
I tried to scan back thru your postings in case you had answered something like that but the pages are many. I am interested in knowing 1. Total clearing cost of lexus gx470 SUV 2007 and 2008 models and acura mdx 2010 model as at now by RORO 2. If there is a delay and the vehicles leave the port of origin this year but arrive nigeria port in January 2015, will the additional 35% levy apply or they can be exempted since the BoL is dated 2014 |
talktimi: they conveniently dodged the part about 1.5 billion dollars loan for the project yet they're here hyperventilatingPerhaps you and the writer of the article believe that the world bank released the whole $1.5 billion meant for the whole project when the project had apparently not even reached the half way? World bank loans are not managed like that |
Let him first stop Fayose from being sworn in as governor in October afterall he had and still have criminal case in court. By the way, under what law is the police going to stop a party from nominating a candidate? Yeye dey smell. |
If the LASG had not deferred to FG on this, we would have blamed it as well for undermining GEJ. The president was aware that Lasg was already probing the cause of the collapse before he announced the intention of the FG to probe the accident. He even announced that the FG would meet all the states governors on issue of building collapse. We should defer to the president that he must have been aware of some issues which informed the FG's decision to dabble into a purely state matter and also commend the Lasg for cooperating with the FG to address what is turning out to be an 'unusual' accident. Recall that it is even from South African government official we are hearing the number of casualties (far above the one given by Nigerian officials who are supposedly on ground) which they are not limiting to the number of their own nationals only. How come? |
A United States of America's Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit sitting at Illinois has declared a Peoples Democratic Party's chieftain, Buruji Kashamu a fugitive wanted in America for trial for allegedly importing drug to the country. |
Nosyke: Sister, please do us all a Favour and stop typing poo all over this thread .Tokunbo vehicles will also require the enbolded if not more. So what gives. Nobody is against the policy of industrialization. What people criticised is the sequence of implementation of the measures to achieve it. As at today, given the capacity of local assembling plants, if all Nigerians are forced to patronize locally assembled vehicles, demand will so much outstrip supply that the rise in price will be unjustifiable that it will fuel smuggling. The plant capacity cannot be materially increased at the snap of a finger. Furniture importation has been on import prohibited lists for donkey years now. That means you must not import furniture into nigeria but what do we get? The various showrooms boldly display what is supposed to be prohibited. If any government agency gives you a contract to supply furniture and you supply Nigerian made, you will end up furnishing your house with it. |
obailala: This sums it up...I agree with you totally. I mean, what is the essence of using private 'fronts' when the government will still come out to claim responsibility. Why not use presidential jet and our diplomats that have immunity to do it ab-initio. In 1984, FG under buhari engineered the abduction of umaru dikko in the street of London in broad daylight using private Nigerians and Isrealis as well as Nigeria Airways plane. Even though Britain was sure of the FG's involvement, FG refused to admit and Britain could only jail the abductors. Nigeria even claimed higher diplomatic ground by recalling its ambassador and sent packing British own. |
edyza: I seriously don't key into this crap, when u are being allocated 138. something billion and your project budget for 2014 is 400b,how can u not have money to clear d coin tractors and still av a whole lot left. The state budgeted expenditure for 2014 is N400b. On pro-rata basis, it supposed to have received and spent N200b by mid-year but only received N138b as income for that period. That is a shortfall of N52b and if annualised, by end of the year, it will be N104b shortfall if situation remain the same. That is what the commissioner is talking about. |
sCun: looking a the pic below, it is 100% clear that Sheriff was part of the team WELCOMING Jonathan not part of the Presidential entourage. So the Presidency's version of him actually being in Chad before the is true.Sheriff might be part of the Advance Team. When a president travels, most members of his delegation would have arrived at the destination earlier to do the ground work - meeting and working out the details with the host officials and give summary to their principals. You don't expect that a one hour meeting between the principals is where all issues are resolved. By protocol, senior members of such delegation will be among the dignitaries to welcome their principal. If the host president is present, the visiting president will inturn introduce his own entourage to him. Regarding the second picture taken in the Chadian president office, for sheriff to be presented to Chadian president at all, means he was already listed on protocol list. Such list is not prepared after a chance meeting at the airport. The Chadian presidential security must have given him prior clearance to be admitted into the state house premises in the first place not to talk of presidential presence. The position he was sitting in seems to portray him as Deputy Head of the Delegation or a Special Envoy sort of. |
