yamakuza:It should be Vpay compatible because the card is actually a VISA card. what do you me by UMo transfer? |
Zeddicus:I don't know, walk into the bank and ask as much questions as you need. that will be better than asking non- UBA staff |
kaysim:Bros. . . You can't make any payment on ebay without paypal. Infact, ebay owns paypal after they bought from the original owner who happen to be a South African and this was many years ago. Don't mind any one who says they can help you verify paypal which you can use to buy anything online. I will advice you to use amazon.com because there is hardly anything on ebay that you cant find on amazon.com and amazon accept Nigerian payment but in most cases, they don't ship to Nigeria. That means you will have use the address of a trusted friend or relative who resides abroad to help you recieve the goods and have them shipped to you. Hope this help. |
zinosleek:The card have been used on some sites that rejected GTB naira card. I used it on namecheap.com and hostgator.com without any problem except for the verification. And the OP used it on aliexpress.com without any problem. So try it and see if they will accept it, afterall it cost almost nothing to get the card apart from N100 which they charge for funding. . . |
I will also like people who have used the card on other sites apart from the ones stated in this thread to share their experience as well. |

sleekman:They will use the normal or standard exchange rate. I think when I paid for my hosting and domain name, they charged me one hundred and sixty naira per dollar. |
Okay guys. . . I deliberately came back to clear the air of confusion. Like someone rightly said, the card comes with two different PINs but I didn't know about it till a few hours ago while in a UBA branch close to my school in Delta State. For those that are yet to get the card, read my post before going to apply for the card. Actually UBA did something unique here but which is liable to cause some problem like in my case and I am going to state it here. When you collect your envelope in which the card is enclosed, un-fold it and look at the bottom right corner of the welcome letter and there you have the PIN. You will have to peel off a transparent nylon covering. That is where the problem is. DO NOT THROW AWAY THAT NYLON COVERING. WHY? Because that is where your PINs are but you are likely not going to see it. You are expected to peel off the nylon covering and then press it against a white paper. you can do this on any white space on your welcome letter. You will see the PINs when you press it against the paper but look closely else you still won't see it. I didn't know about this when I applied for the card. Besides the lady in charge of my case in Benin did not tell me. She press the card against the white space and called only the ATM PIN for me to change it and she never told me that there was a web PIN on the nylon covering as well ( The UBA staff in Warri where I am right now said the other lady should have told me how to do and that the lady had no right to call my PIN for me). Another issue is that the way it was crafted in the message of the letter, you may think that the ATM PIN is the same as the web PIN, but it is not. You have two PINs on that nylon covering and please do not throw it away. When I applied, I did not know any of this and the lady at the UBA branch in Benin did not tell me. Right now , I have lost the nylon covering. So the guy at the UBA branch in Warri said I should apply for another PIN to be sent to me. I did that today and I was told to come back next week Tuesday to collect my web PIN. So , guys . . . . that's it. From the look of things, I think this card will be widely accepted than the GTB naira card. and you don't have to call their headquarters or pay three thousand naira before you can activate it like in the case of GTB . To load the africard, there is an account number for it. all you have to do is go to the person in charge of africard payment. it is done online once you pay the money and where you pay to load it is different from where other people pay to deposit funds in the usual account. just tell them that you want to fund your africard account and they will tell you where to go around the bank. That's all FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Praise I changed the PIN at the ATM at UBA. I still can't login following your description. I typed in my full name which is the name on the card with and without space as the username and then typed in the PIN number which I changed to at the ATM and NO SUCCESS. What should I do? Please drop me your number. We have to solve this because we may need to always verify our transaction at each time. Praise, please help me here. Thanks. |
I made a post about this a few days ago. I actually got to know about this card from a member of this forum last month when he commented on my post at "Payoneer Mastarcard Wahala: what they don't tell you. . . BEWARE" Here is my own experience. I initially didn't take the card serious. Anyway after the guy told me about it, I decided to try it out. I went to the nearest UBA and applied for the Africard. I went with my national ID card and a passport photograph, I was given a form to fill. On the form there is box for instant and personalize. I ticked the personalize because I want my name on the card. This is not the case with instant--no name. Since I tick the personalize box, I was asked to come back exactly one week from the day I applied with at least one thousand naira. I applied on a friday and I had to come back on a friday the following week. Well, I submitted my form and came back exactly one week with 10 k to fund my account. I changed my PIN and had an alert on my phone. I used the card on namecheap.com and they accepted the card. I use it at hostgator, it was accepted but my hostgator account was suspended a few minutes later. I was asked to verify it by sending a scanned copy of my card. I did and was asked again to login in to my online account, take a screenshot and then send it to them. Na where wahala for scatter b dat o. I tried to login at the africard site at myubaafricard.com without success. I could not get the screenshot since I couldn't login. After 2days, hostgator just refunded my money into my card a few minutes ago before I posted this. So ask them for your username and passcode which you can use to access myubaafricard.com before leaving the bank. |

Walk into any UBA and ask for UBA Africard VISA card. Apply for the personalize card , fill the form with one passpor and AN id CARD come back exactly a week and with at least one thousand naira. but I did mine with ten k. once you get the card, go to namecheap dot com and buy a domain and then go to hostgator dot com and pay for your hosting. I did this with my Africard a few minutes ago and the card was accepted without hussle. this makes it better than GTB Naira Mastercard because Hostgator does not accept GTB naira card. You dont have to own an account with UBA to get the card. hope this was helpful |
Gods Jewel, how fast can you type? How many 500 words articles can you write within 24 hours? Do you know how to research with Google? Can you reproduce quality content from your researched work? Do you know how to write SEO articles? If you say yes to atleast 3 or 4 of the above questions, then I will fill up the others for you. |
Most of the Naija ladies wouldn't admit to this but wait till you start calling often and before you know it, she wouldn't want to pick your calls, excuses will start pouring in, she is get angry on you for offence you never committed, she would say I need space etc. My guy, the moment you start giving them too attention, you don become MAGA! But do it the other way around to another lady and don't give much attention or calls. Infact call that one once in 3 months and see who will value you more. I don't want you to agree yet if you haven't experience it before. Just carry out this experiment and you will see what I mean. Then come back here to drop your testimony. |
Everyone who said they want Siasia to stay, may God bless you. Whoever want him out I have question for you: what have you achieved for Nigeria? Can you do better than Siaone? No wonder they say talk is cheap. It is easier said than done. . . Bla bla bla rubbish they talk on like senseless parrot. A bunch of them are already complaining that keshi or Oliseh is not qualified or the right coach for Nigeria. But just remember that whatever you wish Nigeria will always come back to you because its what you wish yourself. It was the same case during the presidencial election. Now they are complaining about GEJ not performing. I thank God that I never Voted for that man and I don't have any regret now. I didn't vote because I don't take decisions based sentiments but by logical reasoning. Most of this folks are too myopic to see the future and hence, they throw the future generation into abysmal darkness. |

Jakpayen, could you give us a pictorial analysis for that projection? What are the economic pointers? 2decades? Ha ba take am easy lol. |
God Jewel, I may give you 100 ways to make money online but the sole reponsibility rest on you to decide which is comfortable for your person. For instance, I love to create website and sell them off at www.flippa.com and that is because I comfortable with that kind of business. If you love to sit in front of your computer to write articles, then you should be able to make good money online with that. In a nutshell, it all has to do with your personality and what you are comfortable with. |
Do you really have this in large quantity? How many containers can you supply? |
Question, you are likely to fail ,too, if you don't improve your financial education. You really think the problem is the stock market right? Did you hear their name? They are STOCK BROKER. And who is broker? One who bring a buyer and a seller to do business. They often earn commissions by doing this. So,if you lose or gain, they make money. Majority of them don't have any stocks in any company. How many people ever study businesses before they dive in? |
8 bolz and stagger, I concur. You can imagine the op saying he wants to sell the stocks and that means nothing learned from stock. If I had money OP, i would have asked you to sell them to me. |

Controversially Speaking, the stock did not do anybody wrong but they did it to themselves. Contrary to what people say, right? What did you know about the stock market before you invested that money? I will beat my chest and say you know nothing about it. But you dived into the ocean without knowing how to swim. I that had no money to invest in things like the stocks at that time was studying it like the bible. How many of you here educate yourself financially? The problem is not the stock market. The problem is you and your lack of financial education cost you this. So many people have money but don't know how to invest. Investment101: Never put your money in what you don't understand. Its really an Irony. Some people have knowledge about business and investment that can bring in more money but they lack the start up capital. The market crashed because it was saturated with people who simply and hope increase in value and nobody was selling. I read about Warren Buffet's method of isolating himself from such disaster many years ago. A shoe shiner was showing some stocks to buy and after Buffet left there, he thought to himself that if an ordinary shoe shiner could be trading in the stocks, then he had to exist. He sold all his stocks and a week later, the market crashed. Frankly, when the meltdown started, I wasn't surprised because I had read about it somewhere from the guys in the GAME. Get a copy of Buffetology. It was written by Warren Buffet's daughter-in-law and you will see that doing the opposite of what 90% of the people do will save you from future disaster. Invest in your education FIRST. That is the secret. At 23, I had studied alot of business function. If I have money now, I will buy a lot of stocks but in places where most people do not invests. Thats what financial education can do to you. |
I can see that your mature brain couldn't tell you to open a new thread for your"make $1000 in forex without an account" hmmm. . . So pathetic. I pity you a lot. |
START HOME TUTOR. some people would prefer you teach them at home. You can print flyers with 1k and distribut them at strategic places and to people that will ask for your service and you can charge as high as 10k/month, depending on your packages. |
Fexlist, u must be an idi.ot. What does this thread look like to you' m.or.on! |
Iluvokocha, what it takes is your determination, perseverance and strong will to learn. First thing to do is invest in your education, Just call my number. It is a few post above this. I will say you need to learn stuffs like , market research,SEO,traffic generation, backlink building, article marketing, article syndication etc. This are the things that makes a successful internet business and I must tell you the truth, it is not easy at the beginning. But once you get the hang of it, you will become confident in your skills. Let me know whatelse you want. |
Hmmm. . . After reading the entire thread, Toba's post drew my attention. Why? Because the same thing happened to me and even worse. . . I later realized that I was a complete mugu and thanks to nairaland cos at that time they made me see the REAL world. I almost became a bad boy but some ladies and guys told me to remain myself but upgrade the security so that I don't look cheap. Because of that girl, I don't wast time to dump any girl who does not value and am always happy to dump them because in every 10, there only 1 or 2 of me. That means she will always be dealt with. The id.iot has been begging me for a year now but no way. . . Then I decided to accept,b.ang and kick her out of my life for good. |
Erniewhez, if you need help, call me. My number is just a few post above this1. Only if you are really willing to learn. |
Jazes, I don't do adword. Atleast, not yet. Have you tried on using Zenith Bank Websurfer? I will put a call through to my friend. It seems like he is into stuffs like that. |
Realvenc, I have not hosted it yet because my mind is on something bigger than that. If I decide to host it, its definitely going to be HOSTGATOR.COM the reason I haven't hosted is that I found a one word domain name available and I can't have peace until that domain name is registered because I planned on selling it. Such domain name are pure GOLD online. |
Thanks guys. I have gotten the UBA Africard Visa card and I registered a domain (seoarticlepress.com) yesterday at namecheap.com. I wanted to register another domain name at a different site but the card was declined. So I contacted them and requested to know why my card was rejected and I was informed that AVS(Address Verification System) was not allowed for the transaction but I was given the option to provide scanned copy of my card and ID. I have sent them the copy and I am waiting for their response. |
