Hi digriz, what have you purchased with your card online and at what websites?

I learnt that some sites reject the Gtb naira mastercard and thats why I have applied for the UBA Africard ( Naira Visa Card) and I will get it tomorrow, even though I have the Gtb card, I can't pay 3k just to activate a card. UBA charges only 1k and you don't have to be an account holder with them.

Though the card is not widely know due to lack of media publicity in comparism to the Gtb card.

Someone here on Nairaland recommend it for me.

Well raising funds can be done online and there are peopld doing it with success. The only thing I can say is that you should carry out a research about it. You can use google for this. Having an online fund raising site would require you to have strong vision and mission statement and must be convincing enough to make people give their money. The reason is because some people have been using this for fraud,which people are becoming aware of.

How determined are you? So many people say they want to do business but they are not entrepreneurs at heart.

They say give me business ideas, but they have never studied any business book in their entire life. No marketing or advertising skills either. They don't know how business, advertising and marketing function as the 3 brothers. If you lack this traits, how can you survive in a business?

I started by reading business books. 1 was think and grow rich, the other is rich dad poor dad, another is multiple streams of income and many more. Financial education is the first thing to do.

adeaugustus don't go for a forum yet. You can't survive it if you lack funds because you will have to invite people and keep them. Most people use adword for this.

I will advice that you start with a blog, a paid blog. This is better than using blogger in terms of ranking and other SEO benefit. For instance, I have blog. I copied content and pasted them to my blog and did not even drive traffic to the blog. But I still manage to earn a few clicks on my adsense ads from google and yahoo search engine traffic. But this will NEVER happen with blogger. There are other benefit why paid blog is 100% better than free blog and paid blog only cost 5k to set them up.

One thing I know about google adsense when promoting is that you should always target high paying adsense keywords and your ad placement should be favourable as well.

I remember a few years back me ,my mother and an elder brother were building our house in Ogun state,a story building. One cold afternoon, my mom kicked the bucket and our finances went south in 2008.

I tell you, feeding became a problem. That's to show how bad it was. I had to swallow my pride and did all kind of jobs. Is it selling red wine, home tutor, packing sand from the gutter, writing exams? Just name it. I did this because I remember staying with an aunt in Lagos and I hawked onions,yam,palm oil, beans, rice and so on. During the holiday, i would hawk 3 times a day, 7days a week. My hair was pulling off at the center due to excessive weight on it.

I no wowo o but I wouldn't too be ashamed to do anything as long as it put food in my mouth. I am presently studying Petroleum Engineering and would graduate next year. I will say thanks to everyone who are helping this young lady here. If it weren't for such help which I got from friends, I wouldn't be graduating next year as I claimed above.
