Personally, at the start , I had no hope, especially as we were in a group with Cameroon (who have always given us problems from time immemorial) and Algeria ( I still recall Algeria 1990...where Algeria trashed us 5-1, one of the saddest days of my life), and Zambia( we have not lost to them in a while, bit even then, they used to make life difficult in the past).

But for some reason, Cameroon of today is not the Cameroon of Milla et all, Mboma et all, even Etoo et all. Algeria has not done well since the 1990's, and Zambia flatters to decieve.

I just hope we get as far as the quarters in Moscow. In 1985 , our U21 side went to Russia and came home with the bronze... And we even won it by beating the Soviet side (the Russians)

You are right..The final match that happened yesterday ,I was not informed but only for me to get calls from Ghanaian friends back in gh about the victory against Nigeria. From my understanding, it is not that they emerge victorious by winning the cup but the fact that they defeated Nigeria made them feel victorious and extremely happy even if they beat us again tomorrow.

their dressing looks Ghanaian to me so in essence it is a Ghanaian church.

it is beyond criminality.. I studied in Ghana and I was not a criminal.. it takes days,weeks,months,years for a GH male to accept you.. They are not as open as their girls.. To me, they get envious when they see you in relationship with their girls, how you are able to make a living,survive, spend money...Infact, they wonder how you are able to stand out even when the odds are against you.. I don't see it as you been a criminal or not but your ability to strive from an ordinary situation..Instead of them associating and learning from us, they choose to segregate.. and this does not help them in the long run..

Even the uneducated in Ghana are miners, very hard working folks. The fact that you went to Ghana, and was able to score a goal with a toddler doesn't mean all Ghana girls are like that. I'm still wondering how Nigerian guys are so 'special', people I grew up with.

I think I get where you are coming from but naturally a Ghanaian woman loves strangers. it is so funny to imagine where Ghanaians wud be advicing a GH woman not to date a Nigerian with all the bad characteristics associated with us, still she ignores and decide dating we foreigners. To me, I see GH women as adventurers and risk takers more than their GH guys. This is not only so for Nigerians, they also love Lebanese, ivorians etc.. naturally , they are OK dating foreigners.
