Pidgin2:As you laugh at the thread, I also laugh at your statement. Some of what you wrote is true but here is my opinion having experience both countries critically. If you are talking of missionary school in Nigeria having better structure, Ghana also have missionary schools with better structure. it seems you have accepted that Nigerian govt school is whacked. Who speaks better English? Ghanaian students who finished from their govt schools speaks better English.. in fact, I can argue that a Ghanaian northerner who drops out of school as most of them do in JHS 3 speaks better English than our secondary school leavers in the govt school. excel more in waec? keep in mind Ghana started doing wassce in the year 2006.. They have not been doing waec compared to Gambia,Liberia and Sierra Leone. What Ghana has been doing previously is the GCE and SSCE. from the time Ghana started waec, since the last 3-4years they have been at the 1st position consecutively. here is an assignment for you.. if you think your English or Nigerian English is well spoken, there is this voice recognition software on phone.. speak to the computer (AI) and you will notice your words are not well pronounced.. but when Ghanaians speaks, the computer knew what they were saying.. I schooled in Ghana, and most Nigerians bleeped up on this until when they took their time, spoke slowly before the machine captured what they were saying.. This same thing was applied to the francophones. A French student spoke and the voice recognition captured his words but when the ivorians spoke their French, it was unable to detect it.. |
kingsley666:lol! |
iamord:lol! @iamord, never knew your are Nigerian Ghanaian |
Notatribalist:look my brother, I can argue that Nigeria is better than Ghana and still argue that Ghana is better than Nigeria. To counter your point, we are all African countries and there are lapses. You have found a lapse in Ghana petroleum sector, I agree. for you to say Ghanaians are quiet about how Ghana government increases fuel prices, I can equally say Nigerians are quiet as to how govt is cheating us when it comes to giving us electricity. The govt of Ghana cares for it citizen by providing light, water,NHIS,good education, good road, good security.. Tell me, which one is the govt of Nigeria doing for you? |
Notatribalist:dude, I can see patriotism in you. I feel the same way. let us say the truth about the two countries. Nigeria has achieved less with greater resources while Ghana has achieved more with lesser resources. Ghana is a very organized society compared to Nigeria and if you have been to a white mans land before you will see Ghana has that western standard compared to Nigeria. no wonder nnamdi KANU refers to Nigeria as a zoo. lastly, the time I left Ghana to Nigeria, at the border not airport, I was singled out for E-registeration since I was leaving Ghana.. when I came to Nigeria, the immigration officer was using candle and his pen to register me in a book. I was shocked, 1 no light and 2, nothing like computer to register me or scan my passport as they did back in Ghana.. trust me, I am a patriot of Nigeria but if Ghana has the resources Nigeria is having, they would be like the western world. |
hustla:well, it could happen but I did say he did not negotiate well. that same uni in Australia might have edu agency and with that edu agency, they might tell you not to write English test even though the requirements say so.. my experience, family and friends experience let me just add. |
dwilliams:I have noticed that when you do an application yourself, that is when schools requires you to write English test.. but when you are abroad itself and present yourself, they can't tell you to write English test knowing you were probably taught in English at your home uni. |
a girl like this one could always exploit her talent. not just because she has boobies but she been a unique identity in a job like this will make me expose my brand to the public. |

Women are madreputa! well i saw this on facebook, maybe it is you they said i should send the message to.. "If things are not working in your relationship/marriage, you stay and fix it. Don't think walking away will solve the problem. Everyone makes mistakes and No one is prefect. If God walked away from you everytime you sinned, where would you be by now. You are the better half remember? Call your partner up, say a prayer and let God do the rest. Pride doesn't solve problems....prayer does. #Prayeriskey" |
mmsen:the way I see it amigo, as foreigners in foreign land, people put more effort to work. I have actually seen some foreigners in Nigeria who says Nigerians are lazy as they want easy way out. same thing is applied to when Nigerians are in other countries, they say the host country people are lazy.. the way I see it, we are all lazy and at the same time nobody is lazy. it depends on where we find ourselves to which we have to stand to put effort into what we do .. |
I am thinking she meant Sudanese and not Nigerians. |

veekid:I understand what you mean but I love their skin color. they are distinct from other Africans here in the USA but they are amazing... |
I know this dude back in Kumasi, Ghana.. I think he told me he was going to Ghana telecoms (Ghana uni college of tech). I disliked his persona based on his skin bleaching .To the Ghanaians at the gym then, they had issues with him. I don't know if he was too macho, and tall. I remember one time I visited a Ghanaian friend at Christian service uni when this particular friend of mine introduce me to one of his course mates whom alongside gyms with us. My GH friend said in their local language "twi", " do you know this Nigerian friend of mine,he comes to your gym ?" and then his course mate replied, " I know him very well, he is very cool, does his things solo and leaves quickly" and then he furthered to say " but the other alata guy; the rasta guy,I hate him so much. he is a show off, always feel he is stronger than us ...." There were somethings that made me back out while gyming with Ghanaians.. To tell you the truth , they were all cool guys, I had no issues with them and if I am to come back, they will respect the behaviour I presented to them but along the line I felt they had issues with a particular Nigerian whenever I hear them speak in twi and somehow they tried to take it out on me but some guys made them understand they shouldn't try it. I hated when Ghanaians refers to us as Alata. That word is a big insult to me. I liked when they call me or one another "abordear" - the spelling is so wrong but wrote it out so that you can pronounce it as written. It means Macho or someone with strength... |
MadCow1:look I don't know what you are talking about .. I have gone to the poorest village in a few African countries and I was shock...a village that has nothing, just dependent on their farms and fishery but they have light better than some cities in Lagos.. my village, which is not a village cause it is developed is struggling to have light since 7years.. Nigeria is failed state when it comes to providing lights to peoples home. |
I remember how my Burkina gf used to make mockery of Nigeria and its electricity until I went there and was shock to see light in a landlocked country as UN described as the poorest in Africa. the light there was constant, even the second city next to ouga had constant light. at this point, I realized; what is the essence if you have a beautiful house at day but looks empty or dark at night? what is then the essence if you drive a beautiful car and the road to which you driving it does not compliment the beauty of the car? what is then the essence if you call yourself mighty and yet your security system is so weak? which I then wondered why my ivorian brothers or francophones refer to Nigeria as the giant of Africa with the feet of a clay. |
boyo123:I have said it, may the ones who voted for buhari continue to suffer more.. go and apply for visa, and you shall be rejected as buhari stays in office.. as the country gets tough, so as embassy becomes tougher on given out visa. |
