Politics › Re: Buhari Was Stoned In Bayelsa, Says Governor Dickson by 49cents(m): 11:53pm On Jan 04, 2016 |
NgeneUkwenu: Seriake Dickson, governor of Bayelsa state, on Monday said President Muhammadu Buhari was stoned in 2011 when he visited the state as the presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).
Incidentally, Timipre Sylva, Dickson’s rival and candidate of the APC in the state governorship election, was the governor of Bayelsa at the time.
Addressing a press conference in Yenagoa, capital of the state, Dickson said he ensured that Buhari was secure during his visit to Bayelsa as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). “President Buhari, when he came to campaign as CPC candidate, was stoned,” he said. “But I granted state stadium to president Buhari, and made adequate security for his safety when he came to campaign again, because I knew that these people could harm him or people in his entourage and I didn’t want that to happen.”
Dickson also accused one of Buhari’s ministers, apparently Heineken Lokpobiri, of “terrorising” people of the state ahead of Saturday rerun election. The election, which held across the state on December 8, was rescheduled to January 9 in Southern Ijaw local government area and over 100 polling units in other local government areas, as a result of violence.
But Dickson placed the disturbances at the doorstep of his opponents, saying he remains a man of peace. He alleged that there were plans to rig Saturday election in favour of Sylva and called on the people to defend their votes. Dickson accused Sylva of using his influence to change the head of security agencies in the state in order to perfect his plot. “I’m the proponent of political tolerance in this state,” he said. “I don’t need anybody to kill and maim for me, I’m a man of peace and everybody knows. What we have seen is a subversion of our national security agencies. “The minister sent thugs to attack the collation centre, put off the community generator, storm the collation centre, took away the original ward result sheets, and also prevented the collation officers from completing their collations.
“In my own community, we had APC people who wanted to open an office, I told the commissioner of police to protect them, they must hang that flag – it’s their right. Nobody was assaulted. “Unlike Ekeremor, where a man who is not even candidate looks down on his community so much, thinks they’re his slaves and says ‘you will not vote’. Not even for his party, ‘you will not vote at all’. “I got copied a letter written by the CDC chairman of Ekeremor community, the minister’s community, where it is directed to the president. Drawing the president’s attention to what the minister is doing, terrorising the community with soldiers and police and SSS and so on. So that nobody would go there to vote. “Himself, his younger ones are all carrying arms.
As the CSO, I’m alive to my responsibilities in this state. “This idea of changing people anytime they don’t do the wishes of a person or party – you’re destroying institutions. This is the third time they have changed the commissioner of police in Bayelsa, since this race started. “They brought in Paul Okafor, brought in Nasir Oki, nominated by Timipre Sylva, now I hear Timipre Sylva says the man they brought here as commissioner of police didn’t do his bidding by killing enough people, didn’t do his bidding by arresting innocent party supporters and those who are not supporting him. “I hear that by today or tomorrow, the new commissioner of police, nominated by him and his party would arrive here.
They are celebrating victory of evil over good, victory of criminality over legality. “This election has been won, they are only desperate and day dreaming, they are trying to get from the backdoor, what they couldn’t get from the front door.
All the votes from Southern Ijaw are for me. “I have raised some of these issues even with the president. Critical issues of national securities. I believe Mr President assurances. Mr President was very gracious, I am grateful to him for granting me audience. I have his assurances that things would happen differently

If subsidy is removed fully, the product would be selling around N90 per litre because the Govt would no longer determines the profit level of the marketers. That is deregulation. Buhari doesn't know what he is doing. Very intelligent post but some sentimental APC zombies would look the other Subsidy removal without deregulation is rubbish, APC are trying hard not to loose popularity with the people who bought their lies that's why they keep on window dressing reality. Until they openly own up to Nigerians about reality they may eventually go down. The reality is that Forex inflow is dam so low and the Buhari hasn't shown enough urgency on policies that will help to increase Forex inflow |

Celebrities › Re: Unveiling The Person Behind Don Jazzy by 49cents(m): 9:17pm On Jan 02, 2016 |
martyns303: After the incident at the just concluded award show, the Nigerian social media had gone wild with the "beef" between YBNL Olamide and MAVIS Don Jazzy. Olamide's initial outburst wasn't targeted at Don Jazzy and his crew, but after the comment by Don Jazzy, Olamide went frenzy, spilling out what he had been battling inside and exposing what most media insiders already know, but unknown to the fans.
Contrary to what most people believe that Jazzy is humble and timid, he is actually very arrogant, a bully and mostly lacking self confidence, yes he has got inferiority complex. This may be surprising to some because with his influence he is expected to be very outspoken, but we all know this is not so.
The whole "Don" thing was coined by Dbanj to cover up for Jazzy's complex issue.
I will be giving instances.
1. Dbanj
Dbanj is energetic and a big dreamer, he met jazzy as a hustling producer and with time they partnered, moved to Nigeria and started an empire. Dbanj folks are doing pretty alright, so they had somewhere to start, even using Dbanj's mom's car.
Within no time, Dbanj was a big name, getting recognition here and there, Jazzy felt he is not getting the recognition he deserved, and so the infamous "it's Don Jazzy Again" was coined to give him credit. But he had never been satisfied.
Shortly after the release of Oliver Twist, Dbanj met Kanye West on a Dubai bound plane, and was able to get a meeting with him. Kanye offered to sign Dbanj but saw no need of Jazzy, remember Kanye himself is a producer and also have people working for him, but Dbanj insisted on Jazzy being part of the deal. Jazzy wasn't comfortable with the whole set up and wanted to return to Nigeria, but Dbanj refused. it was his opportunity to be big and was taking it.
Jazzy returned to Nigeria and quickly made allies with other artists, he ridiculed Dbanj and made him look like the bad guy, gave out airtime on Twitter to increase fan base. So while Dbanj was away, Jazzy solidified is ground in Nigeria and when things didn't work out for Dbanj, he had nothing to fall back to, Jazzy has got the industry in his pocket. He had finally gotten rid of his competition and refused to give Dbanj a chance.
2. Wande Coal
Most of the acts in Mo hits were brought in by Dbanj. Jazzy is the kind of person that likes his space. WC is a very talented artist, I mean the guy can sing for a chick and make her cry, even the Legendary 2face acknowledged him, in his words "the boy good die".
Jazzy signs ridiculous deals with his artist, takes most of their income. as an unknown artist then, u would sign anything to get the fame. Jazzy used WC anyhow, and doesn't like having someone to challenge him. When WC left, Jazzy promised to kill his career. WC responded with "u are not God"
The remaining grown acts, Dprince and Dr. Sid are not as talented and are very willing to cope with anything.
3. Tiwa.
Tiwa is a woman and was able to get her way, but that's a discussion for another day, she is a married woman with a child now. Lets just leave the past.
Don Jazzy has ended up signing a bunch of kids, kids he knows he can control, give them crumbs and they will be glad to accept. Give them some years to get older, when they are able to speak up and the pattern will repeat itself.
Dija.
This one is looking for a way out since, didn't Olamide say he spoke to her manager?
I may not have convinced you enough, but No, Don Jazzy is not the angel everyone is thinking him to be. If arrogance is directly proportional to achievement then I would say Don Jazzy is way humbler than Olamide Common for someone who produced banging, international hits with the MoHits crew, stuff Olamide can only dream off even with his current status as YBNL Truthfully speaking I would say Don Jazzy slipped up based on his status in the industry buh hey the guy still got bragging rights as an artist and as a producer |

For me Don Jazzy is crazily arrogant cos of his great achievements in the industry in time past and even currently....
We're he really humble he would have just let the episode of Olamide's rant slide...
By now Don Jazzy would b regretting his retort.....but then all the yeyebrities are so bloated and full of shit....they just can't even hide their pride.
Olamide is suffering from young age nothing else
Finally we see them in their true colours

Romance › Re: About Women Making The First Move. by 49cents(m): 5:17pm On Jan 02, 2016 |
Oliviaarims: This notion seems to be trending these days. But pls, before anyone goes about saying it's okay for a woman to make the first move, then perhaps they should also elaborate on what circumstances and the manner in which it should be done. So many girls are being misled already.. And making complete fools of themselves. I witnessed one such event yesterday and I just couldn't help laughing. This girl must have been feeling like a real 21st century chic when she even contemplated making the move. But with the way things turned out, I can bet on my two Di'ja-like-boobs that she's so never going to try that again. Heck, that dude was mean!
Back to my topic. I really don't get why a girl should be encouraged to make the first move. Look at it this way. Wooing a woman is sth that comes very natural to men. It's what they do. It's what they've always done right from time, what reason then has a guy not to make a move on the girl he likes? So this boy and girl know themselves, perhaps not as friends or anything serious, but each knows about the existence of the other. They are perhaps in the same location.. Work in the same place, live in the same neighborhood, attend the same Uni;So, surely they get to see each other from time to time. Why then should it be the girl making a move since she's interested in him? Hasn't he seen her before? If actually he had any interest whatsoever, he'd make the first move. It shouldn't be an issue at all. Girls are used to being wooed.
But he doesn't and some girl would think it's okay for her to make the first move. Trust me, chances are high that he won't take u seriously if ever u should go into a relationship. He'd simply see the whole thing as him doing u a favour by dating u and perhaps getting an advantage for himself if he succeeds in sleeping with you . I can't even imagine how u'd feel comfortable being in that relationship. He's most likely always going to be eager to show u the door, because after all, u made the first move on him, when he was just on his own doing his thing. It's just like reversing roles entirely. And IMO, it shows desperation.
And I also thought guys used to enjoy the chase. They want girls to be the ones chasing them now? Lol.
Pls, giving the green light and not playing too hard to get is enough. A man's supposed to know what to do when he sees the green light. If he doesn't, well, that's sad. It simply implies that there are so many things about women he isn't sensitive to.
Call me old-fashioned. I like being old-fashioned if this is what being old fashioned is all about. you must be taurus |
