[quote author=aikyg post=116214734]Not good. This shows total unconscious lack of respect, not just for the bishop, but for the bishop's cleaner. These are things you should teach your sons:
1, Don't sit down when shaking another man's hand.
2, Don't step on people's rugs or carpets with dirty shoes.
3, Don't invade people's space.
4, Keep your hands to yourself.
5, Open doors for ladies.
6, Most importantly, don't put your leg on people's bed, sofa, table or car bumper.

Sowore no try at all. I hope he does better next time.[/quote

All you need to do is to get agents (not thugs) in all the states of the federation whose job will be to be visiting different locations in each state and promoting your candidate that is if you don't want to play dirty like the politicians you criticize. But if you want to play dirty, visit bars, viewing centers, motor parks meet rough guys, gangs, head of cult groups; give them money and promise them a place in the government. They will not only give you results, they will give you their lives

Your position means that you feel can do anything to change things

Do the thugs have more than one vote....

This is why Nigeria is where it is..when the people feel defeated and mock anyone like moghalu who dares to challenge status quo...

UTILITYMAY:
I never believed in this guy again since he played the spoiler role in the emergence of a consensus candidate amidst the youths candidates in 2018 towards the 2019 elections.

It was Omoyele Sowore (AAC), Kingsley Moghalu (YPP), and Tope Fasua (ANRP) that never allowed the merger of the Presidential Aspirants of all the new parties became successful. The process was tagged Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT).

The Story:
The new and "young" aspirants of the new parties all met in June/July 2018 with the intention of yielding to the voices of Nigerian youths asking them to come together and present a common front. They all agreed to do this within themselves by voting. The process was a very simple process; you are not allowed to vote for yourself: "IF NOT ME THEN WHO?" Meaning that you should vote for another aspirant and it will be the same process stages Incase there are ties, till one person finally emerge.

August 31st, 2018 was fixed for the date of the election, with Madam Obi Ezekweseli nominated to be the moderator. That was before she declared to run.

It was about a week to the fixed date, Omoyele Sowore came up with online(YouTube or Facebook) voting. You know he is more popular on social media and he owns the social media space, it would be easy for him to manipulate the outcome. The other aspirants rejected his suggestion and he pulled out of the PACT.

NOTE: At this time, Sowore was not in any party, no one knew the party he was going to run for President, he had only declared to run. But FD was in ANN, KM was in YPP, TF was in ANRP, and the rest in their respective parties. It was on Sowore that does not have a party yet as at then.

Omoyele Sowore and Tope Fasua pulled out of the process before the date fixed for the in-house election. Kingsley Moghalu, Fela Durotoye, and other eleven candidates came for the election. After the first round, Moghalu and Durotoye had same votes (ties) being the highest of all. The both of them went for the second round. Durotoye defeated Moghalu with 4 votes to 3 votes. Moghalu congratulated Durotoye but left immediately to address the press outside the venue that he is no longer interested in PACT. That was how the whole process flopped in 2019. So FD had no option than to continue running, after all, he won. In fact, he nearly stepped down for Kingsley Moghalu, but wisdom demands that he should not do such for someone that failed to honour an agreement. Now, same Moghalu and Sowore are coming up again to deceive us of when we all know they are greedy and hunger for power by all means.

2019 would have been a very good outing for them if only they allowed the process to work, though they won't win, but 2023 would do the deal. Nothing for any New Candidates again in the country, mark my words. I can never trust KINGSLEY MOGHALU with my vote.

These are the names of the aspirants who participated in the PACT after Omoyele Sowore and Tope Fasua pulled out:

*Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese

*Mathias Tsado

*Kingsley Moghalu

*Fela Durotoye

*Dr Favour Oluwamuyiwa

*Dr Elishama Ideh

* Dare Fagbemi

*Victor Ani-Laju

*Godstime Iroabuchi

*Clement Jimbo

Here is a press release to what I wrote up there:

THE MANY LIES OF KINGSLEY MOGHALU: A REJOINDER FROM PACT

Our attention has been drawn to the recent release made by the Presidential Candidate of the Young Progressive Party, Kingsley Moghalu, as it affects his role in the Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) and the 2019 presidential election.

It has thus become expedient for us to put the record straight for the sake of posterity.

PACT was formed with just one aim; to get all New Breed Presidential Aspirants to come together and present one Consensus Candidate, while others queue behind the fellow so that we can collectively wrestle power from the Old Brigades and restore our nation to a path of progress.

The story of PACT is in public domain, so we shall not bother to go over it all over.

We shall however restrict ourselves to addressing the issues raised by Kingsley Moghalu in his release and several pronouncements.

1. THAT HE IS NOT AWARE OF HOW DR OBY EZEKWESILI CAME INTO THE PICTURE.

PACT had a WhatsApp platform on which we discussed issues relating to the emergence of a Consensus Candidate, which was our primary objective.

Right from the inception of PACT, all our meetings were moderated by Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese, who was also a Presidential Aspirant and a member of PACT.

However, after the meeting before the last, some members suggested on the platform, that we should get a neutral person, possibly a respectable national figure, who will preside over the meeting and serve as the umpire during the electioneering process.

The media sub-committee contacted Dr Oby Ezekwesili, who had to cancel some of her itineraries to honour our invitation.

None of the PACT members including Prof Kingsley Moghalu raised objection to Dr Ezekwesili serving as the umpire on our WhatsApp platform and none raised objection when she was physically present, before the commencement of the election, during or immediately after the election.

Dr Oby Ezekwesili was never a member of PACT. We the members of PACT collectively invited her formally as an umpire, based on her track record as an uncompromising nation builder and she obliged us as part of her sacrifice to seeing the birth of a New Nigeria. She proved her worth again, by supervising the PACT election in a very transparent manner. Why Kingsley Moghalu seeks to paint her black, has orchestrated attacks and spreading of falsehoods against her, simply because he narrowly lost an election which he had so much confidence that he would win, amazes us!

2. THAT HE WAS SHOCKED AT THE PROCESS

Kingsley Moghalu was in deed a part of the process and raised no objection at any time.

In fact, Kingsley Moghalu, as a lawyer himself, played a major role in amending the Memorandum of Understanding, adding and removing clauses from the original document that was prepared by our lawyer, after which he certified the document as okay.

During the first round, Fela Durotoye, Kingsley Moghalu and Mathias Tsado scored 2 votes each, Dr Elishama Ideh scored 1 vote, Godstime Iroabuchi scored 1 vote, Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese scored 1 vote, Favour Oluwamuyiwa scored 1 vote and Dare Fagbemi scored 1 vote.

The three topmost aspirants then proceeded to the next round, as agreed in the MOU, after which Durotoye scored 4 votes and Moghalu scored 3 votes.

Kingsley Moghalu then walked up to Durotoye and congratulated him in the presence of other members of PACT.

If he had reservations about the process, why did he not complain on the WhatsApp platform? Why did he not complain when he sighted Dr Oby Ezekwesili in the room? Why did he subject himself to the process? Why did he congratulate Durotoye at the end of the process?

3. THAT CLAUSE 13 OF THE MOU STATES THAT HE IS AT LIBERTY TO WALK AWAY AND PURSUE HIS PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION.

We shall reproduce verbatim, the content of the 13th clause herein;

"It is also agreed by the Aspirants, that nothing in this document herein shall infringe on the legal right of any Aspirants, including but not limited to his constitutional freedom of association, freedom of expression and other rights as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other relevant laws".

This 13th clause did not state that an aspirant who fails to be elected as the Consensus Candidate can yet proceed to pursue his Presidential ambition. It only serves to protect the right of aspirants against any statute that contravenes the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It is expedient to highlight the provision of clause 10 which states thus:

"The Aspirants therefore agree not to further contest against the preferred Consensus Candidate".

NB: The copy of the MOU is herein attached.

4. THAT PACT WAS A DELIBERATE PLOY TO AMBUSH HIS PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION AND EXTERMINATE HIS POLITICAL PURSUIT

Our noble intention was to bring all New Breed Presidential hopefuls to the table, get them to vote amongst themselves and pick the aspirant with the highest vote, as the Consensus Candidate. Moghalu was very close to becoming that Candidate. He lost to Durotoye by just one vote in a very transparent election. How could he suddenly turn around and claim that the process was designed to ambush his ambition?

Moghalu owes Dr Oby Ezekwesili and members of PACT an apology for this deliberate misinformation.

SUMMARY

It's on record, that Moghalu called members of PACT individually ahead of the election, and even sent lobysts across to others, soliciting for their votes, on the grounds that he's the "most qualified" of all the New Breed Presidential hopefuls in Nigeria.

Yet in a recent interview, he said he does not consider the PACT's process as credible!

When asked by the interviewer what his position would have been if he had won, he said; "if I had won, it would have been credible"!

So, the process is "not credible", simply because he lost.

Kingsley Moghalu has shown that he's not worthy of public trust, as his utterances since he did not emerge as the Consensus Candidate of PACT have been heavily laden with lies and deliberate mis-information.

It is therefore time and imperative for us to publish this rebuttal statement.

We hope that this statement shall set straight all public information and records related to PACT and at the same time, factually defend Oby Ezekwesili from any further unwarranted attacks for the patriotic role she played as our umpire.

Signed on behalf of PACT:

*Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese

*Mathias Tsado

*Fela Durotoye

*Dr Favour Oluwamuyiwa

*Dr Elishama Ideh

* Dare Fagbemi

*Victor Ani-Laju

*Godstime Iroabuchi

*Clement Jimbo

FreeStuffsNG:
Campaign officially starts in April, I believe it is a very smart idea that Prof keeps yielding the time for Asiwaju Tinubu to keep consulting so he can use the outcome as a strong factor.

His decision to contest or not depends on the outcome of Asiwaju's consultations.

If the Asiwaju Tinubu consultation visits keep maintaining its high rating, coverage and going on with this huge acceptance so far in the SW and North, it provides a genuine reason for Prof not to proceed to contest except he wants to be another HE Aregbesola .

Those Royal fathers like Ikubabayeye who already endorsed Asiwaju will not endorse Prof. They will rather call for a meeting to request for Prof to step down and ensure that Asiwaju makes some concessions to Prof. out of fairness than to endorse Prof.

Prof Osibanjo is a wise man and one of the members of the Asiwaju Political family. He will not want to throw his goodwill away because the likes of Mr Laolu Akande says so. Mr Akande can not get the political endorsements Prof needs to upstage Asiwaju in the SW and Northern political strongholds of APC.

So , if you are on the PYO team, it is time you realize that Asiwaju and PYO are in the same political family and majority of that political family have already endorsed Asiwaju Tinubu.

So, on the mandate of Asiwaju Tinubu I stand. I love and admire PYO but 2023 is the year of Asiwaju Tinubu. It is BAT 2023.

PDP will likely give its ticket to HE Atiku but Asiwaju Tinubu will trounce HE Atiku at the polls.

Please support Asiwaju Tinubu. Please join the winning team.

Politics / Re: I Trusted Tinubu But He Repaid Me With Betrayal- Aregbesola by 49cents(m): 2:03pm On Feb 15, 2022
Discovery4today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRjDUZMnLlw
It appears the gloves are now off for a bare knuckle fist between the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola and his estranged godfather, Bola Tinubu. The former Osun State governor on Monday tore violently into Tinubu and told him that the same treatment meted out to a former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, which foreclosed his re-election bid in 2019, would be administered on his brother and Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola.

Aregbesola, who spoke in Ijebu Ijesa, Osun State, while addressing party faithful and stakeholders in the state ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary, was reportedly attacked by some suspected thugs, during a roadshow in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

Although for the 21 minutes and 12 seconds that he spoke, Aregbesola did not at any point mention Tinubu’s name, he however made ignoble passes at him in relation to the political situation in Osun State, including how he has abused his leadership and suddenly assumed the god complex.

Below are THISDAY’s transcription and translation of Aregbesola’s address, which he delivered in the Yoruba language. Excerpts:

“I’m happy that we sent for you all and you honoured our invitation. Those we specifically asked to be invited here are party leaders from the ward level to the state. They are the critical stakeholders and I’m certain they are the ones here.

“Although some, who are not with us would be here also – the informants to the other camps. But we’re no longer afraid of no one at this stage except God. You’re at liberty to listen to whatever we say here and go share with them over there. And I’m happy you’re here.

“However, if we have to throw the cards open and start all over again, this party is ours. Let me repeat myself for clarity: this is the core Afenifere – a progressive group, that genuinely loves the people, the society and also loves itself. I’m not talking about cosmestised good. This is Awolowo’s group; it is Bola Ige’s group. It is also Baba Akande’s group, before he partly left us.

“We joined you in this same group in 2004; the group we laboured in pain and anguish to put together from 2004 to 2010, November 26, before court gave us victory. This is the same group. Therefore, stop calling yourselves a faction; you are the main APC. Let me put it more succinctly, if our great leaders, who have passed on, had the opportunity of returning to this life, it is this same party they would join. They would not join a party that is not theirs.

“It would be almost impossible for Bola Ige to return to this same life and refuse to be part of this party. It would be very difficult. It would be impossible for Papa Awolowo too to come back to life and elect to join another party in Osun other than ours. It would be difficult. And those of us who are still living are also here in this same party.

“There’s no latter-day member here. Everyone here started with us from day one. Even if some had left at some point, we knew why they left. There’s no one here, who did not suffer with us. That’s the summary of my submission; that they have returned to where they’ve always belonged, and to also return the party to where it should be, because we had hitherto followed the instructions of our leader, whom we thought was true to type.

“We followed and served this leader with all our might. In fact, our loyalty to him had caused some people to start wondering if we were no longer Muslims. But we were with him and served him according to the admonition of our forefathers, who said when serving anyone, we should do so with sincerity and loyalty; that if you regard anyone as your principal, you must serve him wholeheartedly.

“Sadly, we didn’t know that while we wished him well, he didn’t think good of us. However, because we placed him higher than where he ordinarily should be, he started to think he is our god. Unfortunately, for him, we had sworn to God that whoever compares himself to him, we’d beg Him to bring down such a fellow.

“God says he does not have a rival, and if you heard what I said in Arabic, God said, ‘He is God and he didn’t have to start procreating before He’ll assume His place as God; that only humans procreate. You are the ones, who attach importance to procreation.

“As God, He doesn’t need a child to dwell in his glory. He does not need any family member or younger siblings to regale in His majesty. That He does not even need a group to be who He is. That He is God and that’s who He is. So, whoever puts himself in place of God, well, let him be his own god.

“With suffering, pains and perseverance, we nurtured this party to the stage it is – with sweat, tears, blood and even lost lives. It is by God’s grace that someone like me didn’t pay the supreme price too. May those who lost their lives to the struggle find peace with the Lord. (He mentioned names of some of those who died). As tough as it was, we did not seek revenge.

“We took over government on November 27, 2010 and by 28th, we announced that whoever sought revenge would be struck down by God. We only handed over to God, those who made us suffer. After we served for eight years, it wasn’t only party members that benefitted from our administration, the entire state did. I went everywhere in Osun with projects.

“However, by the time my successor was handed over to me around May or July 2018, I was told, ‘Rauf, this is the ideal successor that would stand by you. He would further showcase your efforts. He would not betray you; he would not dim the light of your glory’. That was what the person, who handed him over to me said. If the person is listening to me, it would resonate with him, if he said so or not.

“But, did he do as he was vouched for? And when he reneged on these promises, did the person, who handed him over to me draw his attention to these failings? Anyway, isn’t the person the one we now see today?

“Meanwhile, we are here at this station on three grounds and if we go about it honestly, we’d never regret this. First is, God detests hypocrisy. That He is above all things, but hypocrisy, he’d never go close to. However, our prophet, Mohammed (SWA), said: ‘Assist the hypocrite and the victim of hypocrisy.

“But when asked to clarify the logic behind such a statement, he answered and said, ‘Listen, it is possible for a hypocrite not to know he is one. However, those of you around should endeavour to join forces with the victim of hypocrisy to prevail over the hypocrite and that way, you would have assisted the hypocrite to change his ways. That’s the first reason we are here and once we can do that, we’d be good to go and they would be the loser. It’s God’s commandment.

“Second, we are the ones looking after the people in every way possible. However, those we put into position of authority to drive the project of caring for the people, have since abdicated this responsibility and we would never share space with such fellows. God says whoever is against the needy is His enemy. To that extent, we have to move away from these people, because we can’t because of our association with them offend God. If we stick to this, we’d prevail.

The third reason is, the things we did that the people wanted, which unfortunately, this man has turned away from and which formed the pride of our government, and which has been the thrust of our party since the days of Awolowo, we would not sit by and watch a fellow, who had no clue about this task, to destroy our efforts.

“We will never assist such a fellow. In a worst case scenario, we’d move away from them. Interestingly, in every group, everyone has a right to their choices. But in making those choices, you must be sure a majority of the members align with you.

“It is possible some share your ideals and it’s also possible some do not. This happened in Lagos recently. There was a governor, who wanted to seek re-election and the party declined and showed him the way out with their votes. So, the same way it was in Lagos then, is exactly the way it is in Osun today. What is good for the goose, is also good for the gander. It cannot be the turn of your younger brother now and you change the rules.”

Meanwhile on the attack on Aregbesola, THISDAY gathered that the gun-wielding hoodlums, suspected to be political thugs, had waylaid his convoy and started shooting in a bid to scare away the former governor of the state and members of his entourage.

THISDAY learnt that Aregbesola had around 5:30pm stood on his open roof vehicle and waived at a large crowd of residents, who were hailing and jubilating at seeing their former governor.

He continued his demonstration amid singing by his followers. Some were screaming “Sheu” as others were waiving brooms. The roadshow pulled so much crowd that there was traffic snarl along the Gbaemu-Idi-Seke road.

But problems started, when Aregbesola got to Orisunbare market, close to the Old Garage, when sounds of gunshots rent the air. Jubilant residents, who were following Aregbesola scampered to safety to escape being hit by stray bullets.

A team of combined security operatives from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service and Department of State Security, who were among Aregbesola’s convoy, stepped down from the vehicles and started shooting in a bid to scare away the armed thugs.

For about twenty minutes, Old Garage Area was in panic as traders and road users were distraught as a result of the gunshots from the thugs and security operatives.

The stage is gradually setting let see who the cap fits. Could it be Osibanjo, Tinubu, Zulum, Okorocha or Bello?

They have programmed many Nigerians to limit their options.

I am with the third force...these guys you mentioned are touts or beneficiary of touts

The thing with you iboes is YOY NEVER LEARN.

You make an enemy of everyone and want them to love you in return. How's that working for you so far?

My desire is to see an Osinbajo presidency, but if it goes Tinubus way, hell however he decides to treat you people will be justified in my sight.

You can go ahead and keep insulting him, but do well to stop mentioning me to your show of shame. Your brothers, sisters, and parents are there. You could do so with them.

Thank you and goodbye

Mayegum on Facebook is Igbo too..
