yup. fresh mackerel . . . if you press the slice between ur thumb and finger the slices slip out easily and u can eat them.
U'd be surprised how good raw mackerel tastes.
Raw fresh fish isnt so good and tilapia fresh is just urgh!

it's just beans and some kind of stew that goes with it. It's prepared in a special way, I don't even know how they make it

Its easy and doesnt require a stew as such. First get some beans (there is one special type that is best for ewa agoin. I cant describe it so well but its usually the biggest and the finest beans in the nigerian market . . . just light brown).

I usually first boil the beans with water and some salt . . . it shldnt burn unless u forget it on the fire. When the beans is soft enough get another pot and heat some palm oil. Add your beans, it shld contain water so dont add too much at this point. Add dry pepper, some dry cray fish if u want and leave to simmer for a few minutes.
I dont mash it into a paste but it shld look a bit like porridge when its done.

when next u go to the store watch for the diff onions. Some are plain white, some are deep purple and some look slightly reddish. The deep purples are the ones that sting ur eyes the hardest and the whites are the mildest. That's the one u steam for salads.

. . and for sushi haters . . . you can try eating small strips of mackerel raw. Its actually sweet.

thanks morenike, if u've ever eaten fried rice with onions or beans with onions or stew with onions then you definitely have eaten boiled onions at some point. When u eat boiled onions pls use the white one, it has a sweet taste.

i dont fully agree. If i were married my wife is mine as much as i'm hers. whatever she possesses is mine as much as whatever i have is hers to use whichever way she wishes. I cant curtail her freedom neither can she mine but i cant take freedom to mean i can sleep out when i feel like or bring female friends home anyhow. Freedom must have a limit in the context of marriage i suppose.

Its a matter of understanding your partner, i dont see anything wrong with being possessive, just know were to draw the line.

not at all. I get your point but there is a thin line between jealousy and possessiveness. I'd be worried if my gf was not somewhat possessive about me. It becomes a problem when the other party expects to have absolute control over my every movement.
