Alagba 4Him. You amaze me all the time with your knowledge. Let me help you Yes it is true we have the Guiness book of record at heart ,so what are u going to do about it. The mandate God gave oyedepo is bigger than what you are reading in Guiness book of record . Let me help you out ,that building was done in 90days another record right no single penny from abroad another record right we were never short of money, no appeal fund no chief luncher expect God. Bonnke said this is the hand of God. TL Osborn said God is in this place, Daddy GO said this is the hand work of God. Creflor Dollar called it the wonder of God through man. Relax my brother you are yet to see anything yet. More witty inventions will be done by the church. Oh another record that land use to be the the headquarters of Witches and Wizard in Ota. Ponder on this and get more scriptures for us. Till then rejoice with us.
So did Samuel say when he first saw Eliab. 1 Samuel 16: 6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's anointed is before him.
7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Iraq has affected the US economy, yes!  Concentrate on Iraq and pull the rest back!  You can't have it both ways. Or find other ways to reduce the burden on the American Economy.  I don't care how they do it!
no wahala. I have not endorsed Obama either . . . i have adopted the customary Nigerian attitude of siddon look.

I have said 100x and i wont repeat it again, you cant remove US troops stationed abroad . . . they are there for strategic purposes. . . that the rest of u cant see beyond ur noses is not the fault of the government. These troops have been there since WWII, why have they now suddenly become a burden on the economy? Clear sign u dont know what u are talking about.

@topic,

Can someone please highlight the various changes that Obama plans to make without refering us to some websites. We all know and can list what Bush stands for on issues such as abortion, immigration, iraq, the war on terror, preemptive strikes, social security, health care etc. Can someone please tell us what changes Obama will bring to bear on these important issues.
lets back up here a little . . . What were Bush's policies on those same issues in 2000?

WoW!

Well, that was a heart full! This is why you need to get past where you are. I like to really hear what a lot of others are saying about these subjects of "change". That in the least has got me to the point of demanding some specific plan on how policies are to be implemented.

You, on the other hand are still stuck on "policies and ideologies". I am way past that phase. Frankly, I am bored with it. I only look forward to July, when things will really start to shape up or ship out! We will definitely get to the nitty gritty of it all. This is "spring break"!
I ask again . . . do you know Clinton's policies? What of those of McCain? Besides poverty what were Edward's (a late disciple of the gospel according to change) policy statements?

And does Clinton offer that which you seek?  undecided Herein lies my problem with the anti-Obama bandwagon . . . they accuse him of little substance . . . clinton is hardly any better. If Obama had talked about bringing the troops home in 60 days he'd have been resoundly torn apart by media hawks.

My question remains the same, if you see what soda does to your body or what sodium do to your blood pressure, you may think twice before taking them. lack of exercise is another major killer but it's not classified as a sin or are they all sins? ain't we defining these things more than God that created them?
did you know that gluttony and unhealthy eating habits are a sin? shocked

Hot.Funmi:
What about sexual habits like cunnilingus and MouthAction b/w married couples that can infect the giver with yorimus carinii(lol), are they also sinful since it may be abusing the body? Do you know that the female honey pot is meant to be acidic for it to be healthy? If there is any change in the body and it ever becomes neutral, it will become a lethal recipe.
this is a tough question but i believe strongly that as long as both married partners are comfortable on their marital bed . . . then they are free to approach sex however they want it.

Same goes for GMF, soda, sodium we consume everyday. I am tired of so many Nigerian christians that translate the bible from their own perspective. Some will swear by their God in heaven that drinking alcohol constitutes a sin when the bible clearly states that it's only sinful when you abuse it. And, where in the bible did the body disrespect come in? that means that those that rarely wash themselves because they can't afford water or soap or toothpaste are offending God?
the bible is a wonderful book. Please peruse through Romans 14. It perfectly addresses this question, you can always substitute meat in that chapter for smoking or drinking.
titus 2: 8 is one verse you may also want to consider looking at.

Is smoking a sin? and I didn't see where the bible wrote the only in the event part. Don't add your common sense to the bible abeg.
It is not clearly written that it is a sin but anything that defiles your body (the temple of the holy Ghost) such as smoking is a sin. I certainly would not want this to turn into a religious discussion but permit me just this post:

The wages of sin is death (Romans 6: 23) . . . does that mean God does not love the sinner? Unfortunately the only way the blood of Christ shed on the cross avails for the sinner is only if he/she repents of sin . . John 3:16.
Its just that simple . . . you sometimes dont need the bible to put things in plain english for u before u begin to connect the dots to understand what it says.

Back to the topic . . . even moralists and atheists think smoking is wrong . . .
RomanceRe: Love by 4Him(m): 6:31pm On Feb 20, 2008
Dont misquote the bible . . . Love covereth all sins only in the event that the sinner recognises his sins and is repentant.

In that regard . . . no amount of love will make me marry a smoker.

With Obama, its the triumph of style over substance. There is a certain "wait and see" element to his candidacy. Most people don't know what he will really do until he becomes President.Unfortunately, style can be more important in what some political analysts call a "beauty contest",the US Presidential race.
You do have a point, i however disagree with the general idea that because he has the power of oratory he thus lacks substance.

Clinton hasnt said anything of substance to wow us over . . . we are still waiting. She has had 35yrs in the corridors of power, besides being efficient nothing else stands her out.

If you read one of my earlier posts i made an excuse for a woman who is sick, on her period or tired. the point is even as a guy there are times when sex is the last thing on ur mind . . . its a matter of compromise and understanding ur partner. Of course when she's pregnant the most important thing is not whether the fellow down south wants some action BUT her health and that of the baby. Sex can always wait.

If you bring the troops drinkin' whiskey in Germany and Britain home first--not even Iraq yet---you will have some money to put into housing and real estate. Iraq is a gradual process and we definitely need a plan for that.

Are you with me? cheesy
I certainly am not with you because you are sounding very naive right now. Why bring the troops back from Germany? Wont you pay their salaries and allowances even if they were here?
You have to realise one thing, those troops are not just there drinking whiskey . . . they are there as part of a military strategy to keep the Russians in check.

Do you know that it takes 8hrs from the US to Europe by air?

It is imperative that the US maintains troops abroad in case it needs to defend itself or its allies. The smartest way to fight a war is to make sure u do so on ur enemies territory.

Not even hillary clinton is seeking to remove troops from Germany or Japan.

About Iraq? Even if they have a plan today it will be stupid to make them public and thus give ur enemies plenty of time to strategise.

And who is supposed to be the sacrificial lamb in all these?

Yes, we can be attacked like anywhere else in the world, but I think it is time to take a break from it all and take care of he American people first. Fighting terrorism is not the job of one country. If our "Rhinstone Cowboy" did not go about it the way he did, things would have been much better. It is time to bring the rest of the world on board. Don't you think? So the American people do not have to bear it all. Isolationists policies never worked in country's favor.

As for China--a threat to America. I wonder why. If only we learn to mind "the people's" business instead of the world, we will not have the Chinese secretly sniffing in all backyards of the US!
Gbam! you sef talk am. this is Obama's viewpoint . . . when he indicated he was willing to speak to Iran and Syria WITHOUT conditions . . . america and Hillary Clinton said it was evidence of his inexperience.

Look here, the Americans can not suffer economically if you do not strategize ok?  Look at the state of the economy?  All for hugh defense spending.  Yes the consequences of pulling out of Iraq will be felt.  We can leave gradually.  But has anyone even mentioned a plan? undecided
Look at the big picture. You are crying about "huge defense spending" . . . have u asked urself how much of the Chinese and Russian budgets go to defense? America can only afford to cut its defense spending at its own peril. Live with it.

almondjoy:
Besides there are like some almost 80,000 troops idling away around the world including Germany since WW1--For heaven's sakes, WTF?  We have countries like Canada and Swissy minding their own business and no one has attacked them yet.  Please bring the idle troops home and save us from China abeg! grin
And are those troops "idling" away a problem to you? They are there to give the US a strategic military advantage. Perhaps you are also against the building of a European missile shield by the US too?
Kenya was minding her business when she was attacked, Spain, Indonesia, India . . . all were minding their business before the were attacked. Quit talking about what u know nothing about . . . China is growing as a threat to the US . . . both economically and militarily.

Instead of chewing their tongues and pretending to be deaf till they have covetted the illegal immigrants votes. undecided
the issue of illegal immigrants is a complex one that will take a lot more than just one person coming up with policy statements to win elections. Bush has been president for 8 years . . . what was his own plan for tackling illegal immigration?

There are more than 12million illegals . . . can you just start shipping them home?

Hillary Clinton is touting a health care program . . . the same one that failed woefully when Bill was president? Abegi!

Keep the noise decibel up, that's what you excel at. People like you only started following politics after the hysteria began.
Prior to Iowa Clinton was running on the ticket of experience . . . she didnt switch to a message of change until Obama began using it with devastating effect. MCcain is standing for change? grin dont make me laugh pls. Watch his speeches instead of saying anything u feel on the spur of the moment.

I just heard Hilary on TV, say she will start to bring the troops home within 60 days. I need concrete ideas please not to start chantin' change here and change there. Disturbin' ma eardrums! grin
The question you shld be asking is HOW and WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES? You cant just withdraw troops within 60 days . . . will the Iraqis be ready to take over security of their country within 60 days? You have to worry about Iran moving in to fill that vacuum, al qaeda insurgents using an unstable Iraq as a base to launch further attacks.

It is easy to line up behind a naive woman who cries about bringing in the troops in 60 days . . . welcome to another Afghanistan.

Jesus didn’t build an auditorium but He pulled the crowd by the Sea of Galilee. Get your understanding right, “many of whom where interested in fishes and loaves” Jesus meant material things here i.e. cars, honey, houses, shoes etc. A church or a tabernacle is not.
have you ever read AND UNDERSTOOD John 6? Jesus Christ was reprimanding the jews for following Him NOT because they wanted to hear the Word but because they wanted more free food. He wasnt commending them for following material things bros.

Gimme a break pls . . . read the gospels, where did Jesus Christ or the apostles equate "great and mighty works" to the size of their buildings?

skyone:
Mister, Guinness book of record officials and researchers are those who go about the world to look for new adventurous things not people or Pastor Oyedepo who contact them.
the purpose of that building WAS partly to get into the guiness book of records.

4HIM in life you can’t always win, there are times you need to humble yourself and admit your mistake. And by doing so, you are paving way for knowledge. Meet you on other threads
Its not about winning but about making sure that detruth and his ilk do not continue to propagate this heresy about "great and mighty works" being about architectural feats.

There is an element of that in the constant whining by many Nigerian women. The key obstacle for a Nigerian woman is that as a woman, and this applies to women in general, women tend only to get to choose male partners who approach them.So many Nigerian women may "lust" after foreign men but apart from those that merely want to sleep with them, very few are interested in marrying them.

However, many Nigerian men also lust after all things foreign. The key difference is that we have,as men, greater leeway to act on our impulses to the 'envy' and obvious irritation of many Nigerian women.Fundamentally,we are the same. grin
Sad but true. grin
Perhaps this is at the root of many of those pretending to be seeking "another minute with Nigerian men" on this thread.

But it works both ways. The key problem is that we have a high degree of self-loathing.Most Nigerians cherish anything foreign and this includes foreign partners just for the simple fact that they are foreign.
It also works both ways . . . most of the nigerian women who claim to want to "know" . . . who claim to be concerned that nigerian men are more willing to slave for foreign girls are simply two-faced. Many would drop their pants for a white boy in a flash . . . however since they know they cant get that chance (no thanks to their low self esteem . . . cloaked by pretended aggression) . . . they hate on others with foreign partners.

the only difference between a white girl and a naija girl is simply the color of their skin, sometimes the white girls tend to be even more desperate to make u happy. The nigerian chic on the other hand . . . God help us!
