It is now glaring that your knowledge of Abeokuta to Ota axis is very shallow. I will break it down for you.

Alabata to Camp Oshiele road = = = = = 10mins

Camp Junction to Abiola express way= = = 3-5mins

Abiola Way to MKO stadium = = = = = = =5mins

MKO stadium to the Express way= = = = 20-30mins!!! Even with the dualised road by OGD.

Express way to Ota = = = = = = = = = = 30-40mins (why would you even want to take this express route when Lafenwa is most preferable undecided )

Now how is that equivalent to your 45mins drive to CU!
Alabata to Camp takes you to 10mins? grin Ooops my bad, in ur volkswagen jalopy.
Camp junction to Abiola way - 3-5mins flat.
Abiola way to MKO Abiola stadium - 5 mins flat.
MKO stadium to the express - 30mins? shocked gimme a break pls. Ibrahim Babangida boulevard is 5mins walking distance from MKO stadium! That, bro, IS the express! Or is ur own expressway in Jericho?
Expressway to Otta in a fast Mercedes Benz car is about 30mins max . . . i've timed it several times.

The biggest goof is highlighted in red . . . the only way to go from abiola stadium to the express (which is barely a few meters away from the governors office) in 30mins is if u were driving at 0.6miles an hour. Gimme a break pls. I drove by that road countless number of times even in a dilapidated 504.
FoodRe: Operation: I Must Get Fat! by 4Him(m): 3:17pm On Feb 21, 2008
@ busta, i dont think junk food makes your boobs sprout. There are fat people with no boobs at all.

I'd say cut out the junk food and sodas. You're not too young to be health conscious, i watch my blood pressure weekly . . . you may be clogging ur arteries without you knowing.

Birth control pills? she'd be twice her size in a few weeks. Abeg Gamine u're ok as u are.

I was too lazy to go to the gym until i saw the remarkable transformation it had on my brother. The guy used to be jokingly labeled a woman because of his excessive baby fat (he had breasts at a stage) . . . today he is a fit 175lb hunk! I didnt need a second invitation to the gym.
FoodRe: Operation: I Must Get Fat! by 4Him(m): 3:10pm On Feb 21, 2008
You dont need to be fat by force. I'd say to relax and allow nature take its course.
By the time u're married and have kids you'd wish you were slim again.

An example: my uncle used to date this law school chic . . . Christ! She was so conspicous for her skinny figure.  grin We used to tease my uncle no end, she had no butt at all, no hips, no boobs, just a tiny sack of bones with a big head.  tongue

He stuck with her for 4 yrs and they eventually got married, today you wont believe she's the same girl of 7yrs ago. She's got big not fat (she has 2 kids now), and she's so so fine, she filled out in just the right proportions now everyone pats my uncle on the back for snagging such a cute likkle woman. Nice full hips too  kiss

Esss:
WHY is it difficult for any of you pro-cursing campaigners to answer the most simple question asked by 4Him which is WHAT WOULD OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST DO?
My brother, i stopped expecting an answer over 5 pages ago. These people are not interested in Jesus Christ at all . . . He is simply a cloak for their deciet.

janami:
@ESS
forgive the repentant soul. if this robbers were not caught i am only too sure , they would have robbed and killed again
I'm not too sure you read Esss's post at all as is usual with myopic members of the WOFM. How are you "only too sure" that this robbers would rob and kill again? You know them personally?

cecegorz:
My brother, sometimes i wonder who really sent you. You sound like a self-appointed 'defender of the poor Christians' in the mould of those that challenged Moses on one hand, and Judas is Carriot combined together.
another ignorant fellow just running around without a single idea what he is talking about. Those who challenged Moses were jealous of his calling . . . nothing to do with "poverty" . . . Judas wasnt poor at all . . . so what are you driving at?

Wasnt Lazarus poor too? Didnt he end up in the bossom of Abraham? So "poor christians" are no longer christians that we shld defend?
Lord have mercy.

almondjoy:
Nothwistanding the king of vituperations that ooze out of your letters, hope u know how those people ended up.
I also know how those who wanted to buy the anointing for a price that they may use it for merchandise ended up.

almondjoy:
Just know that the Bible is not an academic book u'll just go and cram so that u can argue in a forum, the letter kills.
Just also know that the bible is not a mysterious book that is only reserved for ur pastor to read. The letter indeed killeth but its hard to see how the Spirit can give life to those who wont even read and try to understand those letters first.

almondjoy:
It is the Spirit that gives life, ask the Lord to give u the spirit, u will experience a new life!

Christianity EtcRe: On Conversion To A Religion (christianity Or I-slam) by 4Him(m): 2:40am On Feb 21, 2008
therationa:
You guys (christians and m-uslims ) have had it easy for far too long, propagating your falsehoods to simple, vulnerable, credulous and gullible people. It is about time you are challenged by the discerning minority who can no longer stand by and see the world dragged yet again into another Dark Age.
This is another oft overlooked flaw . . . the propensity for dishonesty from wannabe atheists.

I doubt that these "discerning minority" are afraid of us dragging them to the dark age . . . i think the real problem is the spiritual war that rages in their restless souls. Religion, especially christianity, has been so relegated to the background of mainstream society that it is laughable that ur main fear is that christians are looking for the nearest opportunity to drag u to the dark ages.
The world is more likely to experience WWIII over oil resources than to fear the dark ages.

Therationalist pls face the truth . . . u people are too afraid that God indeed may exist that you are struggling so desperately to force the rest of us to toe ur line of reasoning. A lot of people have focused solely on religious fundamentalism but are ignoring an equally if not more potent danger, that of areligious fundamentalism . . . the gradual rise of a powerful group of people whose sole goal is to wipe out all traces of religion from the public sphere.

They have replaced AD, BC with CE and BCE (2 ambigous terms that have no coherent meaning except to wipe out christian influence from public consciousness), they have scrubbed the Lord's prayer from public circles, it is becoming an offence to teach creationism in school . . . pretty soon it will become illegal to own a bible.

These from the hypocrites who pretend to be afraid that we are taking them back to the dark ages.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Are You Religious? by 4Him(m): 2:27am On Feb 21, 2008
here is the problem, christianity is a religion to those who either dont understand it or for those to whom it is merely a label. To the rest christianity is a way of life and an intimate relationship with One who is both God and Father, it does not depend on touchy feelings of religious arousal.

4Him, after writing that sermon up there, I realized that I can write a book of my life experiences. My late grandfather was even worse according to my father. They hardly ever saw each other eye to eye. My father never really his own dad because he was abroad and doing some project works there. When he returned to Nigeria, he was so distant from my father and well it brought about the distant relationship they had. My father trained us exactly the same way his own father trained him.
lol we must have borrowed grandfathers somewhere along the line. My grandpa rarely talked but he expected you to be seen and not heard. Once he beat my dad up for coming 3rd in class and feeling good about it! shocked Of course my father duly did the same thing to his kids . . . everyone was always top of the class from primary school to college. It was a requirement if u wanted to have a relatively quiet holiday and avoid the pankere waiting for u at home after submitting ur report card.

pahtahkee:
They were only allowed to come downstairs just once in a week! Only on Sunday evenings. grin I remember one day I was in the sitting room and I was looking at the kids playing outside from the window, then all of a sudden my father appeared from his bedroom, I tried pretending as if I was doing something else, obviously he had seen me by the window, guess what he told me to do, he told me to continue watching outside as my punishment. grin I started crying by the window side knowing it was punishment not that he liked my staying at the window and watching the neighbors play around. grin
na punishment be that? grin Try having someone flog u with nepa cables and report back to me.

pahtahkee:
Well, my mother tried to bring peace between us. But because they were in UK and I was in Nigeria, constant communication I tried to severe it with him. Well now, we are better but when I see how my little cousins behave over here, I can't help but cry for my childhood days. Somethings I loved about it, some I totally despise with hatred.
there are times you want to look ur mom in the face and call her a collosal failure but at times u realise she herself could not have helped the situation any better than she did. Newayz all of us don grow now . . . we dont remember the bad times anymore.

pahtahkee:
Well punishment is inevitable while raising your kids, but it must not be taken to the excess and it must be done in love.
how many times did i hear that statement . . . and how many times did i say that if this was Christ's example of "love" then He can shove it up His cross. God forgive me . . . there is a thin line btw correcting a child in love and correcting him in anger. Most parents cant differentiate between the two.
Christianity EtcRe: Faith Tabernacle Puts Nigeria In Guinness Book Of World Records by 4Him(m): 10:30pm On Feb 20, 2008
teejay i dont like engaging hypocrites like you. You make accusations and yet cant back it up with a single scripture . . . all you do is go around speaking as your emotions lead you. That is not an example of a man who has studied to show himself approved unto God . . .

So because Bonnke says something and Creflo says the same means that is what God is saying? You mean to compare the prophets of the OT to the men of Gawd of today?
C'mon, in those days there was no Holy Spirit . . . everyone depended on the word of God as delivered by the prophet. Today we have the bible and the Holy Spirit . . . like the berean christians WE have the responsibility to check the scriptures whether what these men have said "in the name of God" are true.

Yeah, my grandfather i hear was even worse. I normally tease my aunt for being so like my dad anytime she screams at her daughters.
I have learnt so much from being around other people and on these boards . . . the most important thing is not to repeat the same mistakes with my own family. Wish me God's grace.

Pataki . . . man u're my brother from a different mother. You just described my upbringing to the T! shocked I actually thot u were Igwe in disguise.

My dad and i now relate a whole lot better now thanks to my mom's efforts. For long periods in the last 2 yrs we didnt talk to each other at all . . . dem report me tire to my uncles and aunts i no hear anything. As i used to tell my mom, there are always consequences for every action . . . it doesnt matter whether you are a parent or not, you will reap what you sow. If you sow distance, over the top aggression, dislike . . . dont expect to reap good communication.

I gave it a lot of thot over the last christmas and realised it wasnt 100% his fault. He was just doing what he thot was right, i have no right to dislike him, i forced myself to grow to love him eventually (it wasnt difficult, behind his domineering veneer is a truly kind hearted fellow who honestly wanted his boys to be greater than he ever was). Now we talk and crack jokes about the bad old days when Dad would prowl around the house calling himself a Lion and daring anyone to so much as move a toe.

In the end we all learn to be better parents . . . once u've been a kid you can read ur child's fears and understand what he would probably be thinking. I will love to be a dad that my kid can tell absolutely anything under heaven, i never got that chance myself and i know how important that was growing up.

In a way though, locking up ur kids once a while doesnt hurt. They need to learn too that dad may be soft but does have rules he expects to be obeyed.

bros u be yeye man. The fastest way to Otta is not via lafenwa but through the expressway . . . governors office end. It will take you about 30mins if you don't encounter hold ups and portholes. From School to the express should not be more than 15mins max!
Lets assume you go from Asero, you would want to take Abiola way which to be candid is one straight drive down to the express.

Outsourcing doesn't as a whole steal jobs. Its about comparative advantage

If there was no outsourcing, you would have to pay more for those goods you bought. If you had to pay more for each good, you will have less to pay for others. If you have less to pay for others, less money in your pockets means less spending generally which means the economy suffers. When you take all that in total, you find that outsourcing has net benefits.

It allows countries to concentrate on where they have comparative advantage thereby ensuring lower costs and keeping the economy efficient
good points. that is why i refuse to buy this idea that leaky borders are wholly to blame for the current economic woes of the US. I will agree that they drive low income wages lower.
