What top 4 team has decent replacements if their first choice central defensive pairing become crocked simultaneously? |
As long as the oil is not in such significant quantities as to distort the economy, Uganda will benefit from the oil find without falling victim to the resource curse. |
RuuDie:I think the EPL's top 4 is the strongest in Europe. Outside of the top 4, it's debatable whether the EPL is the strongest. What other leagues offer is more entertaining football due to their higher levels of flair and technique but it's a bit of a joke to suggest the MLS or the Russian league is on par with the EPL. |
carloss:Why 60? Why not 61 or 59? Mechanical religion ![]() |
debosky:Correct. When I went to Naija in August, I discovered the same thing. They leave passengers' luggage behind and bring it on the next flight, problem is, the passengers on the next flight will have to wait for subsequent flights to get their bags . . . . it's never ending. @Bellview moaners Serves you cheapskates right! Trying to save £50. ![]() |
doyin13:Nigeria is not the US with a sophisticated and outsized banking system. History shows we have had major bank failures, they are indeed a norm, without consequent shock to the economy. There is a tendency for people to juxtapose logic and events relevant in the West with Nigeria. We simply can't afford zombie banks. Not even the US can as they are bound to find in years to come. |
Bialegend:What did we build? Dodgy banks with dodgy management. |
All this gobbledegook as the US racks up another $9 trillion(baseline figure) in national debts over the coming decade. Obama is eventually going to engineer the biggest collapse of the US economy making last year's events look like child's play. |
The Nigerian economy is essentially anchored on the price of oil. We would have survived the collapse of those 5 banks. Inflation is probably running at double digits at a time GDP growth is barely positive. The last thing we need is another injection of N420bn. Looks like the lunatics are back in charge of the asylum. |
FIFA are just bunch of racists. Don't they know that Nigerian bones are impervious to MRI tests? |
Have you heard of the sports section: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/board-14.0.html |
Ibime:Inflation in the US has been negative since March '09, hence the printing of money as the Fed fund rates have reached their nadir. Nigeria is absolutely not in the same position. Did anyone in Nigeria tell you that the price of goods have been falling? We're taking the copycat mentality to absurd levels. |
Printing money is only justifiable, if ever, where the economy faces serious threat of deflation. It is the height of insanity to print money in an economy where inflation, according to official figures, is running at +7%. Nigeria shouldn't do something Ibime:That's not true. If you borrow $2.8bn( assuming exchange rate of N150 to $1), that poses less risk to Naira than printing N420bn. It has no effect on the trade deficit as the money is not for the purposes of importation but to boost the banks. |
The headline is misleading. It's mainly the result of the undercounting of women in censuses conducted in most Muslim areas. The only places you will get men outnumbering women are places like India and China where family planning policies has led to more abortion of female foetuses. |
They should give those Al-Hilal players a medal. ![]() |
I need a phone capable of running Flash Player 10. Does anyone know of any? |
Only in Nigeria will this kind of cock and bull story be accorded any semblance of credibility. It's not worth debating. |
Which one of these businesses is a monopoly and in what sector? |
Afam:It was in the former. AFC is somewhat like the IFC and it's probably far-fetched to describe it as Soludo's company. |
Anyone with a web link for this game? |
No wonder the late MKO bedded over 200 women in his lifetime. They know that some airheaded women will do anything to be one of the chosen bedmates of a rich man Is it 200 or 400? There was this other late basketball hall of famer that said he slept with over 300 women. That's like sleeping with all the women in aswani market
The 200 - 400 range sounds conservative for a man of that wealth in Nigeria. Even a ''dedicated'' middle income man can do that. |
Fhemmmy:Being rich often is a more substantial quality than physical looks. Wealth might indicate, intelligence, hardwork, ambition, focus, e.t.c Looks tell us little. |
If men can fall for a woman due to superficial things like breast size and ikebe, women falling for wealth is not exactly an outrage. The key problem is that she will face stiff competition from other women and the man will most likely be keenly aware that she married him for money, which will affect the respect he has for her. |
So nobody fell for my Fummi is TOH campaign? ![]() |
spoilt:You must be an exception. The man left a British woman, known for their slaying, for a Naija woman. He just downgraded as far getting sexual satisfaction. Naija woman = rubbish sex. |
spoilt:Since when did Naija women start slaying people in the bedroom? |
It's me pulling your legs. |
@The Amaka The topic requests that I say something good about the member before me. I just did. |
