Religion / Re: Is It Acceptable To Withhold Tithes If I Disagree With The Pastor? by 5gee: 12:07pm On Feb 04
fuckJones:
I have so many questions bordering me and I want christians in the house to help me.

1.Is it acceptable to withhold tithes if I disagree with the pastor's or the church's spending?

2. can I pay my tithe in the different church fromt the one I attended?

3. Is it correct for a pastor of a church and his family to use the church income, i.e. tithes, offering and third party income for their own use, especially since the church is not registered as their property? If no , what do you call their actions

4. Is it biblically okay for most of the pastors to ask for tithe on every Sunday? I mean why do they have to remind them every time, instead of letting people choose if they are okay to give their money!

5. can pastor says my church?

6.Which is better, tithing in a rich church where the pastor has his own flight or giving money to a street preacher?

7 .Why does my pastor make me feel guilty for not tithing when I cannot afford it?

You can pay tithe if you are a Jew and follow the law.

Everywhere as you go #MTN | move to nowhere!! he he he cheesy grin
In 2008, I did a walk in to a GP (somewhere in NW2), spent some time on the queue and registration. Can't remember exactly how long, but not hours unending? Got attended to. That was it then. The stories I'm hearing nowadays is deeply concerning. Well, maybe a way to get poke to the types of BUPA . Donno.
In South Africa, if you're on medical aid, you get treatment, GP or specialist. Some specialist might take weeks or few months. Emergency is mostly within hours. That's seemly far off the experience poke are having in the UK. However, experience in public health in SA, paints a totally different apposite picture.
In 9ja, fortunately and unfortunately, it's money for hand, back for ground! Although, not all private are same!! On the sidelines, glad that PYO made a point in getting his knee surgery done in 9ja!
Whithersoever we go, we just must remain positive and contribute to the discourse in every bits.

First-world experience is but all subjective. Lemme leave it there. Lemme not bring academic discourse of phenomenal, reality nuances, mechanism, demi-reg ...

I don't know if it's just me but I find your posts quite difficult to comprehend. Please for the sake of some of us, can you simplify your writing?
I have held back my request for quite a while now but couldn't help not asking as you are a regular contributor here (at least of recent).
If you don't mind, what does poke mean in this context? cry

Hello everyone, please I will like to know the implication of studying a Masters course that's not accredited. I'm referring to an I.T course not accredited by BCS.
Is the knowledge going to be useful? If so, it shouldn't matter much.

You will be asked to pay at the pharmacy for the drugs issued based on the prescription
No sir, you pay for the prescription not the drug itself except if it's an over the counter drug.

I would like to ask you a question please oga HR, does switching from main applicant on a Tier 2 visa to dependent reset the journey to ILR?

Take for instance, the husband is the main applicant but before the 5yrs journey, something happens after 3yrs and he has to switch to being dependent of his spouse who is on tier 2 sponsorship also, will the years reset or he can just spend the 2yrs on being a dependent of tier 2 to complete the 5yrs ?
Yes.

Thanks for your reply. i am secretive about it because i dont want the whole company aware of my impending travel when i never even get Visa. as per returning the passport when i return from the trip. my delay may affect my dependents visa since we are all applying together. it is a 5days trip.
It shouldn't affect your UK visa. I'll say go for it.

I hope to tell them when i get to the UK. besides i never get my Visa yet. waiting for biometrics
Is your employer that bad? No notice period? I think the option suggested earlier would have been better for you especially if your trip won't last more than a week or two. There is no guarantee that they will request your passport almost immediately and even if they do, you can send it to them when you return.

Fried Rice is a well known rice meal enjoyed by millions of people. Its unique taste and colour come from the variety of spices and vegetables used to prepare it. There are many ways of making Fried rice but in this video I have shown my unique recipe.. enjoy!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qL6HRLJd4v8

Ingredients
FOR MEAT STOCK
1/2 Chicken
1 medium sized onion
4 cloves of garlic (optional)
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1 teaspoon of thyme
1 teaspoon of ginger powder
Seasoning cubes
Salt to taste
Water

FOR THE RICE
8 Cups of rice
1 teaspoon of tumeric powder
1.5 teaspoon of curry powder
Meat stock
Salt and seasoning cubes to taste
Scotch bonnet pepper (atarodo) - to taste
red bell peppers (tatashe) - to taste
hot water

FOR THE VEGETABLE MIX
200ml of vegetable oil
6 fingers of sausage
300g of cow liver
5 medium sized carrots
3 medium sized green bell peppers
1 cup of green peas
1 cup of green beans
1 bulb of white onion
250g of sweet corn
2 cubes of seasoning

It looks nice and I will try it, especially with the smoky sausage taste.
I was a bit concerned when you said the vegetables will make it sweet, why would you want your fried rice to be sweet? And which of the veggies will achieve that so I avoid it, apart from the sweetcorn?

My partner and i have been traditionally married for 10 years without proper documentation or marriage license. We have 3 children together but apart from their birth certificates and our bank statement as proof of our relationship, there is nothing else.

He has been offered a full sponsored tier 2 visa to the U.K and we have been asked to submit 6 documents each as proof of residence and all I have to proof my residence with him in the same house is only my driver's license. I am a stay at home mom. what do we do?

thank you
In the eyes of UKBA, you are legal partners. Prove you have children together and you also continue to operate a joint account. If he gives you money monthly via your bank account, put it. Also add your traditional "marriage" certificate, if available. No need to do another wedding.

You want to resign as leader of the conservatives and Carrie on as PM? Is this just so you can beat Theresa May's record on number of days spent as PM?

Truth is there are several ways to convert crypto if you are careful and adventurous enough. I even have 2 crypto cards that I can use to spend crypto direct from my wallet but I am yet to use any because I am unsure of the conversion rate.

@5gee please can you speak to this? Thanks
I assume you should be able to update the KYC or worse case create another account

Update:
Aparently, once verified, you can't change your country. there are other sites you may use like Paxful and Local cryptos but you have to be extra careful and they use ERC 20 which can have high fees. Maybe you can try creating another Binance account or use coinbase (cautiously) as someone suggested. cryptodotcom too is another good one. I found out yesterday that Huobi has p2p to but I am not confident in their dispute resolution process simply because of their reach and home base.

A lifetime's too long, unless you have lots of property to leave for your heirs which will generate serious death duties or mortgage(s) to pay or ongoing financial commitments that will need settling after you die.

Otherwise, the premiums on life insurance beyond retirement age are way higher usually. Most people take out life insurance so their young children will be provided for in the event of their untimely deaths with a lump sum (which can be used for paying off mortgages), so apart from the reasons above, at 65 the average person with children has generally finished raising them and does not really need life insurance, except of course, where one intends to keep firing on all cylinders and downloading pikins for the community well into old age.
Thank you for this perspective. I'll reconsider since I intend to be mortgage free in the next few years.
