Ujoan:
How is spending time with his own wife making him unhappy? Besides how do you know he's not staying home now because he has realized that he should be staying home in the first place huh undecided And that all these while he has been wasting precious time staying out than staying home huh

If you read right, you'd see that marriage is actually for the comfort of men, not women. If not,why should a woman be trying to make a man stay in the house he married her and brought her into? Why should she have to be 'tactful' or 'make herself interesting' so her own husband spend time with her rather than with his friends huh Why should a woman have to feel guilty for wanting to come first in her husband's life?

Shebi marriage is by force? If he so wanted to be with his friends why not just stay single and live his life to the fullest? undecided

Shebi staying home makes him unhappy? well guess what, him not being home makes us unhappy.

So in the end it all boils down to what we really want, and what is important. Making myself happy or dying in silence so my husband can be happy?

I choose the former, and only because he made me marry him. So he owes me
happiness! tongue cool cool
You SO made my point.

What do you do when a person makes you feel invisible and only realizes that you exit when you are upset or he needs to bed you?!?

How about this, systematically ignoring me when I speak so I have to call his name and then repeat everything. How do you even become friends with someone whose constantly on the screen or isn't home?!
He's so insensitive and yet you married him?
Anyway I want to believe you are saying this out of anger.

I never. Not for once insisted on tagging with him and his friends. Heck I can't even stand looking at them! It's not that their bad people but he's making me dislike them and I admit I am jealous of them! I sometimes cry myself to sleep and feel like my love for him is fading away little more everyday and that scares me.
@bolded you sound like a baby at this point. So you don't love him anymore cos he spends more time with his friends? Is that how fragile your love is? Doesn't sound like it's going to be able to weather any kind of storm.
Hope you will understand when the babies start coming and his love for you fades since you'll be lavishing all your attention on them?

I always suggest on weekends that we rent a car go out have fun and spend time alone but he refuses everytime by saying that this place is too far or the road to that beach is dangerous to drive to. I feel like he isn't interested or care in getting to know me a lot better than now.

I think I am gonna leave and go back to my family and friends stay over for sometime and cut him off. one can only take so much. I need to do this for him and myself, if he still doesn't miss me or look for me then only God knows what was his intentions when asked for my hand in marriage and swearing to love me through good and bad.
huh
I have a better idea.
Divorce him outright.
He doesn't deserve you. You can't spend the rest of your life living with someone who won't show you 100% love 100% of the time. He's shortchanging you and you only live once. Live for yourself and enjoy yourself to the fullest. Don't let him cramp your style. Kick him to the curb.

It is obvious from the many female posters above me that marriage was made for the comfort of the woman and not the man. Imagine Eketem even boasting that now her husband spends time with only her and she has to now remind him that he has friends outside. And you really believe in your heart that he is happy with that arrngement.

Instead of making yourself more interesting you look for ways to force him to stay at home and call it being "matured".

Women sha.

I had an ex who was so obsessed with me. He was sweet sometimes, but physical abusive and obsessed at the same time. Anytime I threaten to leave, he'd always tell me that he'd kill me and kill himself. One time, he embarrassed me in public and I knew I had to leave. I moved out of my school apartment and changed my line.

I ran into him 2 years later and he was pleasant. He told me I had hurt him when I disappeared but he'd gotten over me. He asked me where I was going and volunteered to drop me off. We were heading to the right direction when he suddenly veered off and started driving to town at a break neck speed. Jeez! I thought I'd die that day. I started screaming, shouting and begging him. He didn't look at my direction. His face was a mask! I started crying and pleading and suddenly, he slowed down. As soon as it was safe, I jumped out of the vehicle and ran as fast as my legs could carry me. That guy's a complete but job!

I am going to assume this is a true story.

It is obvious from the op's post that he is a young fella, probably an adolesecent or just out of his teens. He seems to spend an awful lot of time at "her office" for someone who is not attracted to her. It could most likely be joblessness or it could be that he hangs around to catch feelings from the girl and enjoy the attention she showers on him.

Also,it is obvious he has no genuine feelings for her except selfish ones. He hardly respects her (or women generally) hence his use of the word bi.tch to address the female of his species.

She on the other hand, is obviously borderline obsessed with him. She has not hidden her feelings and is in fact brazen enough to ask a guy that has repeatedly shown his lack of respect for her person out for a relationship.

I will tag him as an effeminate fellow since he sees no qualms in depending on a lady for financial assistance, he is an opportunist and is obviously hanging around her for the economic gains he will reap. He has no manly pride.

However, can we say this lady who is old enough to work in an office (even if as a photocopier in a buisness centre) is not aware of what she is going into? can we absolve her of all responsibility? She has been repeatedly shot down but insists on maintaining the rleationship and is now excited that he "pressed her boobs" . Is it not obvious what she wants? Are we now to totally blame this selfish op if he takes advantage of her as he most likely will and then use her as much as he can before dumping her since she was never his specs in the first place? Are we going to tag this lady as being mentally and emotionally unstable?

In summary, who are we to blame for the immaturity and indecisiveness in both parties? what can be done, what advise can be given to avert the disaster that is looming? Tomorrow this girl will find that she has been used and will start shouting rape, that she didnt know what she was doing, that all men are beasts, meanwhile all the warning lights were shone right in her eyes.

And who do we blame for this man's seeming lack of manly pride? what is to be done?

Good morning.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. There has been a recent sudden upsurge in the incidents of rape especially pedophile rape in our environment over the past two years. This has nothing to do with increased awareness or whatnot. Sexual depravity has increased markedly.

Something is very wrong.

I agree it was statutory rape. It's the law.

I do not agree the girl is blameless. She's seventeen, not brain dead.

Age is not a guarantee for maturity and emotional health. Some people are emotionally unhealthy due to childhood experiences and others suffer from mental / emotional health issues in the later stages of their lives due to the inability to cope with life's challenges.
It is not a question of age. An emotionally healthy person who had a beautiful childhood can go through a traumatic experience which can result in mental health issues. In my view, no healthy young girl would agree to what the girl agreed and no man of integrity would take advantage of such a person.
Thank you.
FamilyRe: Boys Night Out Discussions by 5minsmadness: 11:51pm On Nov 28, 2015
I think people who are blaming the girl are silly.

I mean, everyone knows the average 17yr old girl lacks the mental capacity to tell right from wrong, to know good from evil, to distinguish between what is moral and what isnt. The average 17yr old girl is a walking zombie and easily manipulated. I mean, just walk up to any 17yrs old girl on the street and whisper sweet words in her ear, telling her you will give her heaven on earth if only she allows you take Unclad pics of her and engage in sex videos; and you'll see them fall like a pack of cards. They are more or less children and cannot fend for themselves.

Its a wonder some parents allow their 17yr old daughters gain admission into the university at all, I mean, whose going to watch out for them there, knowing the amount of evil sexual predators in the outside world and knowing she doesn't have the mental capacity to think for herself? All it takes is for a random guy to walk up to her and tell her he loves her and she's all confused and manipulated and will do anything including engaging in repeated sexual SinParties with him. What a terrible world we live in! These girls ought to be kept under lock and key until they are 18yrs of age when some magical power will bestow upon them the mental acumen to make right decisions and to act responsibly. It happens magically at the age of 18 dontcha know?

Of course none of the good and virtuous women commenting here were disvirgined until they were well past 18years old. I mean, if any of them were, it would mean they were manipulated and raped as well. But that's beside the point. Its not their responsibility. they didnt know what they were doing. Because they were 17 years or less at the time.

Should we hold a 13 yr old responsible too?
I know they understand sex at 13 and can say No or choose to roll with the adult without being forced or coerced.
So in your books a 13yr old and a 17yr old have the same emotional maturity? Ok.

The issue here is you girls seem to be exonerating her of ALL guilt. Oh she was 17, she was a zombie, she was manipulated. She couldnt tell right from wrong. Boo hoo.

The man was an irresponsible ingrate who saw an oppurtunity and used it as most people, male AND female, would. The girl on her part made herself readily (and willfully) available.

No-one is calling Sugabelly a saint and an innocent victim. People are upset because she is the one being blamed here for making bad choices at a time when the Law said she was too young to make good decisions. No-one will blame Mustapha Audu even though the Law says he is old enough to make good decisions. That is what Statutory Rape is: a crime against someone who should not be making decisions to have sex with another person older than he/she.

If she had been 18 when this all started, I'd be sad about her questionable choices but that's it.

Please answer these questions honestly:

1. If you travelled to a Western country and got hit on romantically by a beautiful high school senior who was everything you've fantasised about but was just turned17, would you sleep with her?

2. If i shot you and had a phone (with several names in the address book) in my hand with just enough credit for one phone call to save your life and made you pick whom to give it to, would you pick a 17 year old or a 25 year old?

Btw, I didn't have sex till I was in uni and over 18 oh. I was actually a mindless zombie (a uni boy once met me during hols and sent me a love letter in secondary school. I gave it to my mum, so at least you can now say you've met a teenage zombie grin) but I'm not a good or virtuous person (on this thread I've admitted to wanting to take a life).
1. I can assure you I have been approached by many 15-17yr old ladies who blatantly wanted sex(esp during my nysc) and I bluntly refused. It has nothing to do with what country I'm in. It has more to do with my upbringing.

2. I would pick anyone at that time to raise an alarm, duh! A 17yr old can call for help as much as a 25yr old. Strawman agrument.

Pls I in no way accused you of having sex when you were less than 18, but I'm sure at least one of you here did consensually; and I strongly doubt she stands alone in the showers at night crying her eyes out for being raped.

A girl was asked by her boyfriend to follow her to Zanzibar resort centre at 6pm in the evening. She had been going out with the boy for a few months and felt she could trust him. So she put on her best attire, made her hair, put on some bright lipstick...the kind virgins hoping to impress their boyfriends put on... and told her mom she would be back later that night. She followed the boy to the club and things were going well until he started encouraging her to take alcohol. She declined at first but later relented probably to impress him. After a few glasses sher started to giggle hysterically and the boy thought she was drunk enough. He started to touch her breasts and thighs but she hit his hand away and told him to behave. Undaunted, he tried again, this time taking her to the dance floor and touching her indecently as they danced. She backed away feeling very dizzy and asked to be taken home. Instead the boy told her there was a room upstairs in which she could sleep. He led her upstairs and locked the door behind him. Then he raped her repeatedly. By the time she was brought to us by a good Samaritan some of the female nurses were already judging her by the clothes that she wore but it was obvious she had in no way consented to the sex. That girl was raped. she may have dressed indecently, yes, but it was no excuse for the female nurses to judge her. It was us males that took pity on her and patched her up and listened to her story. She had repeatedly refused sex but the boy had not only drugged her (with alcohol) but forcefully penetrated her.
That girl is to be pitied.
That girl was raped.
That girl was a victim.
Not a girl that goes out with a guy and does whatever he says cos the guy was obviously wealthy and influential. She would never have dreamed doing half of what she did "for love" if the guy was penniless.

I repeat. You ladies are making a mockery of real rape victims.
And it makes me sick.
I'm out.

Hmmm. You have a point. She may call it anything but can she really call it rape? It was consensual. That much is clear.

This story of hers has an opportunistic stink to it.

The comments here are interesting. Funny, someone wrote that "most" men have had sex with minors. This is reaching. Well, unless you mean teenagers having sex but then the male is hardly a man at that age.

Don't let emotions run amok. This looks more like blackmail considering the timing of this "revelation".
A woman brought her daughter into my office on friday morning. She was bathing the child after taking her home from school in the evening when the girl screamed that her pee-pee was hurting her. On examination, the mother found abrasions and slight bleeding on the inner right thigh and the right labia majora had lacerations. The child is three years old. It was obvious she had been molested a few hours earlier and the culprit would most likely be a care-giver but we cant tell for sure cos she can barely communicate english. Thats a helpless victim. Thats someone that cannot give consent. That is a REAL victim of underage rape. Not the bullsh1t story of "I am coming out now but didnt come out when the going was good cos i was afraid the videos i knowingly consented to might be leaked"
