Amya:
I've read through all the detail I could get my hands on, tweets, blog posts going as far back as 2008, emails e.t.c on this sugar belly and mustafa case and I've reached the following conclusions.

1. Their first sexual experience in the car was consensual by all accounts.

2. They became lovers and did the car screwing for a while.

3. After he took her home for the first time, it got kinkier seeing how agreeable and easy she was.

4. He took advantage of her love/infatuation and agreeability and introduced new dimensions to their relationship. the. esomes, 0rgies, gangbangs e.t.c

5. She really wasn't extremely into all that kinkiness, but she thought being agreeable will make her look cool and probably make mustafa love her more.

6. So she kept going back for more and more of that. But rather than love her, he despised her agreeability. He hated was disgusted at/lost respect for her for not standing up to herself and inflicted physical pain to go with it.

7. But she stuck around for the debasement till she left for college in the US.

8. While in the US, she 'd hoped that the relationship would continue, but it didn't. he hatedwas disgusted at her for what she was and gladly closed the page on her chapter. She was never meant to be a long term relationship for him.

9. She called persistently, sent loads of messages, texts e.t.c most of which he never bother to reply. She did all she could for 8 months to revive the relationship but the guy had lost interest.

10. And broke off with her officially to stem the flow of calls and messages. She was heartbroken.

11. Rather than move on, that incident brought in depression, humilation and extreme hatred.

12. A week after the break up, she wrote on her blog on how he dumped her and how she still loved him. There was also the first reference to emotional abuse on that post.

13. The humiliation of what she went through came back and started eating her up. Making her relieve the experience and recreate it to suit her current situation.

Did Mustafa take advantage of her? yes.

Did he abuse her physically and emotionally? yes.

Did he hate her? yes

Did he do gangbangs with her involved and his friends? yes

Was it consensual? yes!

The guy is a scum of the earth. He took advantage of an impressionable 17 year old and probably scarred her for life. But he didn't rape her.

And wait a minute, where did the guy's dad factor into all this? was he also part of the Group Intimacy. Especially since it was his death that excavated this brouhaha.
Thank you for this summary.

Most of them were raised to believe that showing emotions (except anger, joy, admiration, surprise, sadness, grief, interest, anticipation, remorse, awe, love ) is effeminate which in turn affects their relationship with their kids.

But I guess those things are gradually changing now.

Trust me, that lady knows what she's doing.

And no, she doesn't love you. The feeling is mutual. She knows exactly what she wants and won't mind how she gets treated as long as her mission is accomplished. Many women (and men) donot marry for love. Feel free to join their league.

Way forward? Marry her and make it work. Open marriage maybe?

You're welcome.
I see them a lot where I work. And I'm sure you see them too if you're willing to admit it.
All she wants is to get married. at all costs. She thinks as soon as she marries him he will change, he will learn to love her,as soon as she has a child for him he will settle down, the love will grow.
Most of the times these ladies are wrong. When everything goes south and she becomes miserable she will join the rank of frustrated women who come to nairaland to say all men are beasts and her husband does not really love her. Meanwhile she entered the relationship with both eyes open.

She doesnt know what she is doing. She doesnt know what she is signing up for.

Yea but we can know some people to avoid.
Caveat
I am not condoning what either of them did.

Look at the wedding pics. That woman looks the same age with the man if not older. Compare her regal-type pose to the boyish looks of her groom.
That woman is not a small girl at all. The boy doesn't look like someone that can 'control' her if I may use that word. Then coupled with the story that she comes from a rich family while he is poor... I doubt she would respect him at all agewise or money wise. Maybe she married him out of desperation-age not being on her side? - who knows?

The Bobo's own is he is a gold-digger. I maintain my line of thought that a man would never marry a woman he can't cater for / is not stronger than financially except in rare cases. And no, it's not a nigerian thing. Even in foreign countries you here of gentlemen telling thier ladies to wait for them let them go into the world and make thier fortune then they will come back and marry the girl. It's a man's innate instinct to be able to cater for the family for which he is the head. Sadly with the number of effeminate and lazy men we have running around nowadays, the pride of being a real man, a man that provides, is getting more and more difficult to find.

So she looked down on him and the slapping began. He tried to instill order but his queen was already looking down on him 'for not being man enough' so he had no authority in her sight. And he grew more and more frustrated until the beast within him was unleashed. The beast whose instinct it is to provide and protect became a tool of chaos and destruction. Look at her messed up face and ear. Is there any doubt that a beast did this?

But they both entered the relationship out of an alterior motive that love, friendship and mutual respect. They both entered it for selfish reasons hence the foundation of thier marriage was faulty and doomed from the start.

And many young men and women reading this my long epistle will making the same mistake in thier relationships. Entering into it for what they can get instead of what they can give. For selfish reasons instead of for friendship, mutual respect and love. They won't listen and learn from this couples experience.

The world is not a perfect place.

Early on Thursday, 19th, I received a call that my girl had left home with her belongings and she left a note that she was angry with me that I did not let her go to school and that if not that she loved my son ehn.....

I think the mistake we made was that we got her a phone and even loaded the phone. My husband said he noticed she was always calling someone and he once heard her telling the receiver the address of where she was.

I really wish to visit her mum when I return and I hope to see her and ask her questions.

I really appreciate my family for staying with me throughout this period and I'm glad I'm not hypertensive maybe I'd have lost this pregnancy. And I thank God most that she didn't hurt my son because I never hurt her.

Well, it's all good. Life goes on.

I am not trying to discourage people from getting house helps....
@first bolded; scary. If not she loved your son what would have happened?

@second bolded. Dangerous and not security conscious enough. Why buy her a phone and load it? Who is she calling? You're lucky she didn't call robbers to your house or worse. Then again it might still be good for you guys to change the locks and be a little more security conscious for a few days.

@third bolded I may be wrong but is that really necessary? Why not jejerly thank God u dodged a bullet and leave them alone? No need for the visit IMO.

Mindfulness:

Nobody is responsible for someone else's happiness.

Emotionally healthy people surround themselves with people and things that are good for them. I don't want to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do but it is possible to be happy regardless of conditions and circumstances. It has been a very liberating lesson for me to understand that I do not need anyone to feel good and that my spouse's presence or absence is not necessary for me to feel great. From this place, I can love my spouse unconditionally even when the person leaves and I am so full of happiness and joy that my spouse loves to be around me. I do not place on anyone the responsibility and burden of me feeling good and satisfied. Whatever you do for me, you do it freely and if you can't do it from a place of joy, you don't have to do it at all. I, for my part, have a lot of love to share.

My ideology is that it is good to be selfish and that by being selfish I have a lot to offer. My theology is that we are all Gods / Goddesses.

It doesn't have a name. It is a spiritual journey but my personal one and not bound to any particular school of thought, philosophy or ideology. I am notorious for cherry-picking. I am in love with Buddhism as a life style and I embrace many of the Christian core values, as I understand and interpret them, but I am neither a Buddhist nor a Christian. I am a divine and eternal being and I believe that everyone else is, too. Even those who irritate me at times. cheesy wink
Good evening.
Interesting response.
@bolded pls I would really like to know how you got to this point. How do you generate inner happiness/satisfaction or whatever regardless of being surrouded by unappreciativeness and hostility?

@red bolded what about an abusive spouse? How does the victim cope when every day the spouse is out to make the other's life miserable?

I'm seeing Buddhism and suddenly an alarm goes off in my head.
I know you said your philosophy doesnt have a name but i dont know why i find it hard to beleive. What are you selling ma'm?
Family › Re: Ladiea, Does This Action Hurt You Or Eat You Up? by 5minsmadness: 10:11pm On Nov 21, 2015
A man not eating a woman's food is indirectly telling her he still cares about her feelings enough to know that she would be hurt by his gesture and seek a resolution. You'll notice this kind of gesture occurs more among young couples or lovebirds than among certain other couples that have hardened their feelings towards each other.

Mindfulness:
Doesn't a mature man know that it is just a phase and doesn't he know better ways to handle the situation?
Oh, now maturity has come into it. Ok.
A mature woman should know that even when the man is trying to be matured and ignore her lack of concern for him,she should encourage him once in a while by showing that affection occassionally. It helps a lot.

Sadly, the tending to the kids stuff is hardly a "phase". It's a lifelong process. Those kids are going to grow into toddlers and then preschoolers and then schoolchildren, then adolescents and finally young adults. Each phase comes with its own unique problems and attention seeeking. If the woman continues to neglect the man in favour of the all important children, she will raise her head up one day and realised two decades have passed and the man she married has become a stranger to her. One whom she mechanically serves food to but has no feelings for whatsoever.

What if they know why?
If they know why then good for them. The first step to solving a problem is to know what the problem is.

Not true. If a man refuses to eat the food instead of solving the problem, then it is best to respect the decision else one will be tagged nagging wife. grin
Men dont express themselves verbally as well as women. Most arguments end with the woman having the last word and the man stopming off. The woman thinks all is solved but the man is still seething inside. So she goes her merry way but he doesnt know how to raise the issue up again cos he's not satisfied with the outcome. So he stops eating her food because her knows its an expression of love and care on her part and if he refuses to eat it will get her attention. If it doesnt then he knows she doesnt care anymore either way. Whatever happens after that is anyone's guess.

Kimoni:
I strongly disagree angry

It's a phase...when there are bigger issues, the last thing you are bothered about is a full fledged grown man not eating your food. Especially when it's a reoccurring thing.

Do you know how difficult it is to get children to eat? The petting, cajoling? Not to mention the threats

And you'll finish with all that and start worrying about an adult not eating...hehehe
I have an idea how difficult it is to feed children.

I also happen to know a lot of women push the affections of thier husbands aside when children start coming in. They are so busy taking care of the kids that they can ignore the man outright. Then they wonder when the man strays.
That's by the way.

@op many of the women here are making mouth, dont mind them. If their supposed darling stops eating thier food they'll want to know the reason why.

Unless of course like I stated earlier...unless they couldnt care less. Lack of feeling for thier spouse will make them ignore him completely. There's no love in such a union.

In relationships or marriage, everything is not so rosey. The experienced ones can confirm but there's always that time when the lady upsets her man and the man punishes her by not eating her food. undecided

Does this action really disturb you ladies?
It does if the woman loves the man.
A woman that doesn't love her man won't feel anything.

It's bad everywhere; real life, nairaland, mainstream media, everywhere. Too many men who go out of their way to appease women at the expense of their own dignity, it's sad to watch.

Just five minutes ago before I logged on here I was trying to watch a tv show (The Newsroom season 3) but I had to stop in disgust - all the male characters who were supposedly reasonable men were absolute simps or buffoons. I come online and see all kinds of excuses men make for women and I begin to wonder if there is any hope at all. Everywhere you turn there is an emasculated man singing the same song.
Someone posts a very reasonable comment here on how to make choices in life concerning the opposite gender, and a male rushes in like voltron, like he gets paid to lay off his own gender. And there are more examples like this all over nairaland. It baffles me no end.

there is something someone said about francis here while dissing him that made me think though. Is it possible that more boys are being raised by single moms and in the process these same single moms transfer their hatred of the male species to thier male kids hence emasculating them? I mean, women are vindictive, its the kind of thing most of them can do, raise a child to hate all men because of what one man did to you.

Then again is it because they so desperately want the V? I have seen young men do extremely stupid things just so they can gain favour with the female folk so as to get into their pants. I understand that hustle but I wonder dont they have any male pride in them? Dont they have any shame at all?

Most guys I know will always stand up to defend a woman, dont get me wrong. Its the simpering weakling approach and insisting that a woman can do no wrong that bothers me.
Family › Re: Boys Night Out Discussions by 5minsmadness: 11:26am On Nov 21, 2015
Why are there so many "feminised" males on nairaland though. Is it so in real life?
