Joy was still wiping the tears from her eyes when she heard a knock on the door. For an irrational moment hher heart skipped a beat as she thought maybe somehow Emeka had decided to return and spend the night with her. But the feminine voice at the door put an end to those foolish thoughts.

"Oya Joy, Open up na! I know you are in there!" Bisi enthused.

Joy cleaned whatever moisture was left on her face and hurried to open the door. What could Bisi want at this late hour?

She opened the door to see Bisi grinning mischeviously in her doorway. For a split second it looked as if she had been crying as well. But then again maybe it was just the way the light shone in her eyes.

"Bisi! what do you want? I hope you are not playing traunt this time of the night again?" Joy admonished.

Joy kind of liked Bisi. Kind of because Joy hardly ever took a liking to any member of the female species. she always felt they were emotional busybodies, always prying thier noses where it didnt belong. the fact that she herself was a girl didnt deter her from this line of reasoning as she always felt she was meant to be a boy but had just come out as a girl. In fact the only time she felt like a girl was when she was around Emeka...

"Which one you dey look me like fowl na?" Bisi's words cut through her daydreaming like knife through butter. "Will you help me or not?"

"Huh?" Joy asked, blinking her eyes confusedly.

Bisi rolled her eyes. "I want to go and visit one of my boyfriends on the other side of the street. He promised me some delicious delicacies if I come to his place tonight. I would have gone earlier but i got caught up with house chores. I snuck out of the house as it is. I dnot want to go alone through the bushpath, and you are the only girl I know who can take care of me like a boy so please please please will you help me?"

"Ha, Bisi!" Joy said, glancing at the clock on her wall. it was a few minutes past nine. "Its quite late oh...and i was watching a movie...I dot think i will be able to help you tonight. Why dont postpone this your visit to tomorrow? Its quite dark."

Bisi frowned deeply. she couldnt risk not going through with the plan tonight, Eye would be more than cross with her and might repeal her membership at the Loyal hoes cult. she decided to be more persuading.

"He said its tonight or i shoud forget it!" She retorted and began to cry. "We...we have already postponed this meeting for two nights in a row now eh, what is all this? Well, if you dont want to follow me fine, I'll go by myself, but if anything happens to me its on your head oh!" So saying she turned away and began walking.

she almost thought Joy was going to let her leave but a few seconds later she heard a deep sigh and "Come back here jo." Bisi grinned and turned back on her heels to see Joy putting on her sandals.

"We'll be quick o, cos its already late." Joy grumbled as she shut her door and followed the smiling Bisi towards the bushpath. Bisi heaved a secret sigh of relief, glad that her plan had worked. She had been depending on Joy's kind and caring heart not to let her go alone and her hunch had paid off. the plan was woring perfectly and Eye would be pleased with her...

...so why did she suddenly feel so guilty?

It was a hotdark night.

Michael and Desmond were hiding in a particularly thick part of the woods, waiting for thier victims to pass by so they could be ambushed and raped. It was lonely along the bushpath at this time of the night and on more than one occassion girls had been raped at this very point so much so that the local vigilantee had sent out a warning for ladies never to cross this path at night especially when they were alone. But there were always the recalcitrant ones, the stubborn girls that felt they were untouchable or had some sort of divine protection. Every once in a while such girls still fell prey to the young boys of the underworld who waited paitently for thier victims like hunters waiting for thier prey.

Tonight Desmond watched Michael apprehensively as the latter smoked a roll of high grade indain hemp to prepare himself for the mission. Desmond would have done the same as well but he needed a clear head to think of how to save Bisi from his colleague. He prayed silently and fervently that somehow the whole plan would be a flop and Joy would be sensible enough not to follow Bisi out into the dark night. He just couldnt see himself raping Bisi, he adored her so much. Damn his shyness, he ought to have approached her ages ago.

Michael took another puff of weed, glanced at Desmond, and offered him some. Desmond waved it off.

"Guy, you no wan high tonight? Make you enjoy yasef o, no be evereytime we dey hammer two chicks at once. I even hear say this Joy girl na virgin" He added with an grin.

"Not tonight bros, I don fortify myself before we comot for house wit that thing wey that mallam give us to bullala woman so no worries." Desmond retorted and forced himself to grin back though he hated every word that came out of his mouth. Funny how he was feeling so guilty this time, after all this wasnt his first raping mission.
b
Michael eyed him cunningly and took another puff. "Okay oooo, suit yourself!" He paused, then, "I go do that Bisi girl before the joy sef. That girl too dey form sef!"

He watched in satisfaction as Desmond winced but pretended not to notice. His hand went to his hip where he carressed the loaded gun by his side lovingly.

Really? You 5min. Want to teach me about being a true Christiain? I've heard it.

It is funny you remember your Christain faith when it is stuff that you don't like.
But when it is something unfair and unjust to other people but is comfortable for you, your Christianity flies out the window.
Oh?
Examples pls.

Though its interesting you think yourself so morally high above me that I can't teach you a thing or two about the faith. But anyway.

I repeat, if fighting and actively campaigning for other people's right to be denied because it doesn't suit your faith is true Christianity to you, count me out.
I do know that true Muslims and true whatever-other religions if they had their way would want a person like me to be banned from certain things because it is unholy in their books. And they'd be right too if we all listened to you.
My dear the only reason you are not being banned right now by such people is because of those who fought for their christian rights before you. You will agree with me that if you go to Saudi Arabia now or Pakistan that those your rights you so freely talk about WILL be thrown out the window. That's because they have exercised their rights according to their faith and what they want in their country. And if you don't do the same in yours one day you will see yourself being forced to do what you won't normally do. "America the land of the free" is gradually turning into "America the land of the homosexuals and if you dare exercise your right to not like it you will lose your job and be suspended or jailed".

So Let's all fight each other in this zoo called the earth and try to make our way the superior way. And in the process kill each other because we are too dumb to understand that 7billion people cannot be the same.

Trueness of anything in its purest form must mean eliminate anyone of a different orientation.

Well Except you plan a genocide of the magnitude of the holocaust on homosexual people all over the world so that they will all be wiped out and no traces of them left, there's no way your kids won't learn about. Accept that now and have peace.
Melodrama except for bolded.
Kids were learning about homosexuality pretty well already thank you very much. They knew it as an abberation. They knew bout male and female and the copulation of both naturally giving birth to a baby.
In psychiatry class(yes, psychiatry) is where they would have learnt of homosexuality first. As an aberration. And even there it wasn't stigmatised against but seen as what you know it is even though you don't want to admit it, an illness. A man wasnt made to fvck another man. Simple. And none of them turned into automatic homosexuals either.

Not everyone who learned about it turned gay. If your kids are born into this world, they must know homosexual beings exist. It exists hence they MUST learn about it. I have accepted that they have a social right to be married like me. And my kids will learn to accept that too.
Eh ya. Happy for your kids Ma'm.
I know you won't have any problem with your teachers encouraging your male child to proclaim love for another male. For your Sam to come home one day at the age of 14 to excitedly tell you he got his first kiss from Bob his best friend. I know you won't mind the fact that you can't tell him this is wrong or against your chirsitian beliefs because not only would you have no moral standing to tell him not to, but if you do social security will take your son from you cos you are a bad influence on him by not tolerating his gay tendencies.

By then you would have lost your right to teach him your faith. But that's OK. Live and let live. Or is it really?

They will know to keep their judgment to themselves.
Yeah I've heard this a lot too.
The bible said "Judge not that ye may not be judged". It didn't say you should keep quiet when you see something morally wrong being perpetrated .

Mahatma Ghandi said "Evil thrives when good men (and women) do nothing.

Dhalsim said "when good men(and women) say nothing in the face of evil, the act of silence becomes evil in itself.

@johnnydonn,

Yeah I know about REM sleep and EEG measurements. But what can you say about the fella who dreamed about his father's suicide attempt? What about kekule's revelation of the benzene ring? He was very explicit in his explanation of the dream even though scientists are now retrospectively trying to debunk it, claiming he got the idea from some other chemist....so why didn't this chemist speak up and gain the glory of benzene ring aromatisation for himself?

If dreams are a replica of our day to day activities like u said then how come I have dreamed about flying when I have never flown before?

What do you have to say about the man who wrote on the titanic 10yrs or so before it was even concieved that such a ship could be built yet alone sink in the precise same way the titanic sunk? Coincidence?

Anyone who pah-pahs such overwhelming evidence in my opinion is either afraid of the unknown or being selectively blind.

P.s no one is talking about dreams being ominous here. We are not discussing spirit husband or whatnot.

That's the point.

My morality should not be the standard for others.
It is based on my Christain morality that I would say yes a gay Christain is commiting a sin.

Taking it beyond that to actively campaign against gay folks being together means I also consider people of other religions who try to force their morality on me as doing the right thing.

The the phrase "the other person" mean nothing to you? Because you're a Christian?
You are not answering the question. But I get where u r going from your lengthy explanations.

Sorry to say you are not a christian, maybe born one. You are a PACIFIST. And it is not a good word in this context. A christain stands up for her values and defends them. If not her value has no substance and makes no impact. The other religions you are talking about are standing for something and are already forcing their opinions on you albeit subtly. You are content with just not airing your opinion at all or taking a stand in any matter that concerns public opinion so as not to be seen as demanding. The truth is that in this scenario your silence means consent. And the day these 'equal rights' people vote for change your vote will count for them cos you probably won't vote at all

And the day these 'equal rights' people force you to accept their ideologies and force you to teach it to your children (even though its against your beliefs) you won't have a choice then cos it would have been passed into law and then you might be the one fighting for 'equal rights'. Its already happening if only you can open your eyes to look around you.

This is not about fanaticism or conspiracy theories, this is about morality and the right to be able to decipher right from wrong and choose what is right without being penalised by the law for it.

Good question. I was expecting it.

Yes I am a Christian.
[s]
Should the rules of the world be made according to my beliefs?

If you're asking me whether I consider a homosexual Christain as a sinner, then the answer is yes. The person clearly knows his or bible is against.

That doesn't mean because I'm a Christian I should be oblivious to the fact that their are people who don't share my beliefs.

Saying they should be denied their right to be married because my bible that they don't believe in says so, would be the height of narcissism for me[/s].
You are a christian. Got it.

When I was in JSS2(boarding house), I had a dream that my dad's driver came to pick me up from the hostel. He went to the admin office first to get me an exeat. The day was a Wednesday. He then came to pick me of from the hostel and then we zoomed off in my dad's Benz 280, it was blue.

While we were in the car, sensing that something was wrong, I asked him why he had come to pick me up and he said, "your dad sent me to pick you up". I then asked, "why exactly, is he dead?". He just laughed and said, "no" then he laughed and said "you'll know the reason why, when we get home".

When we got home, I ran upstairs into my dad's room and there he was lying down. Dead. I stared at him for a while and then walked over to the bed, shook him and said, "daddy, stop playing and open your eyes". He opened his eyes and we both laughed.

The next weekend, on a saturday, my dad and his driver came to visit me in school.when I saw him, he was looking really sick(he's diabetic). We went into the hostel's canteen and that was when he told me that he had swallowed 100 tablets of valium 5, in an apparent suicide attempt. According to him, he instructed each of his staff ie the driver, gateman, secretary, house help to buy him packets of valium 5 from different pharmacies in the area under the guise that he was going to need them for a trip.

He took them all and passed out. He was unconscious for 3 days and woke up on wednesday, the same day I had the dream
That's deep.

Miami11:
Cab driver just brought himself unnecessary attention
Maybe he was not polite in telling them off, you know the typical Nigeria way,
According to Hill, the cabbie told them not to kiss in his taxi after the two pecked lips, and if they didn’t stop he would make them get out.

“No, I don’t want two men kissing in my cab — you can’t do that and if you do it again I will kick you out. You should be disgusted,” were the cabbie’s alleged words.

As a result of Hill’s complaint and a review of the video taken inside the Calgary United Cabs taxi that night, the driver is now suspended until a hearing can be held to determine his fate.

“Potential outcomes of the hearing include additional suspension time, training related to diversity sensitivity and human rights, or a revocation of his licence,” reads the city press release.

But if the hearing shows there’s more to this case than hate and homophobia, how does the accused get his reputation back?
Christianity Etc › Re: What If Dreams Are The Windows Through Which We Glimpse Eternity? by 5minsmadness(op): 5:27pm On Jul 10, 2015
The distillation of crude oil to its various components through which we get our fuel, gas, kerosene etc was made possible through the aromatization of the benzene ring. For a long time, chemists battled with the structure of the benzene ring so as to figure out how it works.
The mystery was eventually solved by August Kekule who said he discovered the structure of the benzene ring after having a dream of atoms dancing around in a circle until they formed a snake swallowing its own tail.

Kekule claims that he stopped writing and dozed off to sleep. He saw atoms whirling and dancing before his eyes. The atoms then began to reassemble themselves into long rows that seemed to move about in a snake-like motion. As he watched the snake dance, the vision progressed until the snake formed itself into an image.

Was this just mere coincidence or did Kekule's higher self assist him in solving the riddle of the benzene ring?

I had my first "wet" dream almost a decade before I watched my first adult scene movie. Porn was anathema to me and I had never seen two people kiss in real life talk less of have full blown sex before. It always remains a mystery to me how my brain was able to subconsciously teach me about something I had no prioir knowledge of, and in vivid detail too grin

Seriously though dont you find it mysterious the things we see and do in dreams? Visiting places you have never been to, doing things you have no experience of doing in this life, eating things you have never eaten and you know exactly what it tastes like? I have been a soldier at war in WW2, I dont know why I think it was WW2 but i am totally convinced it was. I have flown (Yes flown) to far countries and distant lands...and these are the dreams I remember for there are countless ones I have experienced that I wake up in the morning and the dream disintegrates like a pollen flower blown away in the wind, never to be recovered or recalled no matter how hard I try to do so.

I was soliloquising recently and I thought, what if those dreams are actually visitations to eternal life? What if every night when we think we go to sleep, we actually wake up in our 'real' lives in eternity and interact with our friends and have recall past experiences only to have a veil of forgetfullness drawn over our minds the moment we 'wake up' to this reality?

What if death is like that, the final sleep, where we finally enter our 'dreams' and never come out, realising that what we thought was life was just a passing phase, a test of sorts, and we finally wake up from 'life' realising that the true meaningful life is out there beyond the mystery of our dreams?

It was the potential for backseat sex that disgusted him, not the kiss between two men.

And so he told the gay couple off — just as he has scolded many customers before them, for smooching in sight of his rearview mirror.

“People try to have sex in my cab all the time. I tell anyone who is in my cab acting like that, and if they act like that I tell them to stop, and most times people co-operate and they even make fun over it,” the cabbie told the Sun.

“I’m not against people who practice gay sex or who are homosexual, because I’m not a homophobic person — I just ask them not to. There is copy of the video in my car and if you go back a week or two, you’ll come across a man and woman who I told, please don’t do it.”

That’s the other side of the story, according to a man who may be the most despised cab driver in Calgary right now, for allegedly insulting and threatening to eject a gay couple who kissed in his backseat, after being picked up at the Stampede grounds.

If his passengers are correct, it’s hard to feel sorry for the cabbie, now suspended from work until early August and maybe out of a job for good.

But what if he was right? What if the cab company was a bit quick in thier judgement?

He claims the apparent homophobia was a misunderstanding, and he wants a chance to consult with a lawyer and then prove his innocence before an upcoming Livery Transport Services hearing.

“Two guys come into my cab and they’re making out and so I tell them please stop until I get you to where you are going. People have started out like that, and they end up undressing themselves, until they are naked and about to have sex, and so I have to stop this kind of thing before it gets to that,” he said.

“I only told them to stop until I get them to where they are going.”

There’s nothing more infuriating to me than a fence-sitter.

You know, someone who prefers to say nothing or do nothing when it comes to having an opinion about things that matter. Someone who doesn’t speak up for what is right and what is wrong.

On the other hand, give me someone who has the guts to stand up for what is right, and I’ll shake their hand. They have my utmost respect. Whether it be a personal injustice or world injustice. To me this is moral courage.

We’ve become so programmed to be tolerant of everything. So much so that the pendulum has swung in a very bland and conservative direction. Not just politically, but personally and socially. Where we dare not say anything about what matters for fear of offending someone.

It’s also not cool because it’s deep and serious territory. So much easier to keep things light and superficial. And lightness has a place, it’s just that when things DO matter, there seems to be a quickness to shirk off any reason to be involved. “Too hard”. Or “It doesn’t concern me”. Or “It’s their problem”.

The only problem is by the time it concerns you it might be too late for you to do something about it.

“The enemies you make by taking a decided stand generally have more respect for you than the friends you make by sitting on the fence”. -- Henry Kissinger

women despise rejection - i can tell you that from my own experience of office blues. he either surrenders to her or he should be prepared to leave the organisation. no man can win with a female boss that is bent on having an affair.

they are relentless, passionate, driven & would not stop until they get what they want. if she discovers your friend has another woman or he's interested in another woman, your friend is in trouble. if your friend refuses her advances, your friend is in trouble. it's a lose lose situation.
Well that's depressing.

it's only sexual harassment when men do it to women. when women do it to men, it's because she's in love & she's emotional. grin

It appears I may have to be a little more explicit.

Ok a colleague is having issues at his office. His boss is a woman ,just 3months or so transferred to her department. She took a liking to him instantly. She always wants to have private conferences with him and has insisted on more than one occasion that he visit her place so they can finish up on some important documents there . Also on more than one occasion she has granted him undue unmerited favours like estacodes and other monetery stuff he ideally shouldn't be entitled to.

so its obvious she likes him.

The problem is he doesn't like her one bit. She isn't his type at alll. Older than him by at least a decade, not easy on the eyes in any way. Also strikes as someone looking for a man desperately. Bros doesn't want to swallow fish that will hook him.

He tried backing out of a recent private conference and the end result wasn't pretty. He was made to do a job meant for three people in half the time needed to do it. He had to do some begging and ego massaging to get off the hook.

Now it looks like she is consolidating her efforts and he doesn't know how to go about rebuffing her without hurting her feelings.

Any ideas what he should do?
