Eye don open now, Yahoo had gone nautical, unless they can go E=Mc nothing for them, but hard work pays that's why I support any government that will rid this country of dirty ways of making money. ComradeAbu: Sometimes, I wonder the kind of education we receive in the Third World Countries that has made us not to radically see the realities we are faced with in our lands. I am no more impressed by the analysis of our so called educated people who continue to undermine the real challenges facing dependent people and countries like ours which have been fantastically structured through slavery, colonialism, neo-colonialism and now globalisation to remain perpetually enslaved and dependent on the Mother countries. The solution to our social and economic predicaments goes beyond personalities in leadership positions at any time and the type of political system we operate. I know that President Buhari has good intentions for the people of the country, especially the poor. But what can he do under the situation we found ourselves where the global economic system has conspired to make good intentioned leaders incapable of implementing policies that would favour the people?. What can President Buhar, for example do about the dwindling revenue from crude, poor foreign reserve base and other financial obligations over which no independent decisions can be taken by Nigeria? The issue to me is not about repeating the same social concepts that we know cannot be operational in our climes. It is about telling ourselves the truth that as dependent people, there is limit to the extent we can aspire to be free. Obat is that you?. |

kalokalo: Abuja has been a federal capital for more than 25 years. Why has the FG been unable to replicate the so called Lagos magic in Abuja? Why has Abuja failed to become a commercial and industrial hub like Lagos? Why is abuja still a civil service town with no financial, manufacturing or service based economy of its own? What is Abuja's IGR if there is indeed any? There is very little federal infrastructure in Lagos.
What you fail to understand is that the most developed parts of Lagos and SW was built by the then Western Region under Awolowo. All the industrial estates at Ilupeju, Apapa, Ikeja, Matori, Agbara, Sango Ota, Sagamu, Ewekoro, were built by the Western Region and not the FG. This is why Lagos and Ogun are industrialized.
In fact, the erstwhile federal capital was limited to Victoria Island, Ikoyi, marina, Lagos Island. All other parts of Lagos was under the Western Region. Tell them bro. |

Or do u think Lagos just suddenly became the commercial headquarters of Nigeria or have u forgotten that it was the former hq of the federation therefore it enjoyed a disproportionate share of national dev compared to other states? mandarin: I disagree with you. My knowledge of the North is absolute. Their problem isn't laziness at all but illiteracy and religion. I've seen a meruwa get like 6gallons of water from a well almost 300meters deep. They can persevere for real. But their outlook on life is lack of ambition based on religious beliefs. The educated among them also like to feel cool without doing much. Hausa people are good farmers This is what I was explaining to a friend yesterday, The only problem with Hausa is lack of education, especially the Hausa Muslims. I had an encounter with an Hausa christian who called the name of his tribe MAGUZAWA at Malumfashi in Katsina state, This man is the principal of the federal government girls college Bakori, he is a masters degree holder, he made me understood that Christianity was the saving grace of his people whom he said were highly educated. He also made me understand that the Fulani Jihadist were the ones who destroyed the Hausas , he said if I could interact with Hausa people I will discover that the only thing keeping them down is ignorance which Fulani had used Islam to built into their lives. This man said his own fore fathers fought bitter wars with the Fulanis and refused to accept Islam because Fulani used force to introduce this religion to them and so they continue to practice their traditional religion until the Christian missionaries came and begins to persuade and entice them with good things. He said this act of kindness by the missionary was what change the lives of the Maguzawa people, these people are the most educated people in Katsina state. |

What makes the difference now, just because it is El-Rufai and Jonathan was not supported? Nigerians could support many of Jonathan's project because of his corrupt nature, and now that we have someone with honest intention not enriched himself or favour some individuals but to bring Nigeria back on track of prosperity then it worth we supporting his projects. Focus abeg leave trash for LAWMA, they don't know that Goodluck simply fell out of favour with those who once loved him, just can't face the fact that people switch their love to a man that was vilified by PDP's propaganda machinery. Common this is not about sentiment or partiality anymore, it's about human feelings. How can majority be suffering and you are still supporting Buhari. Even if everything will turn out well later, let people still complain for now, you can't expect them to suffer in silence. BUHARY TILL 2023, Buhari did not waste our external reserves, did you see Femi Falana's letter that Baba should not borrow kobo from anywhere, that baba MUST FACILITATE THE RECOVERY OF OVER $200 BILLION DOLLARS STOLEN FROM NIGERIA under PDP government?. If Falana did not have his facts, he won't threatened to sue the government of Nigeria, Buhari is not a magician so HE JUST CAN'T OPEN THE SESAME, but if we can be patient all shall eventually be well.
