fyneguy: You are just blabbing.
Simple question: How did Tinubu armtwist governments of PDP states and the FG under GEJ to give ABC contracts? Ask yourself! how come PDP states also gave this company contracts?! You dey mind these types of people, they are yet to recover from what befell them since that election. You wonder why they jump to antagonise anyone who supports Buhari or APC, they don't know that their refusal to move on is what will keep them stagnant for life. Those whom God have bless no man can curse, as long as BAT's brain continue to function and health did not fail him, those who are obsessed with him will eventually ran mad or kill themselves chasing shadows. |

Dollyak: I know the argument comes down to Agriculture majority of which are produced in Plateau, Kogi and benue state. Please stop claiming this people as core Northerners. It is often said that a middlebelts can never rule Nigeria because they are neither accepted in the North except for stratetigic reasons. Once Middlebelters allign with the South you lots will calm down. Stop saying what you don't know, I have been to about 85% of LGs in the north west, did you know that the cheapest thing in this place is FOOD?, farm fresh food oh. Don't be deceived, you need to go to these places to understand what I'm talking about. These people have also mastered this thing called irrigation, their farmland are nor really rain dependent, which means there is nothing like dry season, my concern is that the farmlands are being over exploited which may have adverse effect on their production in the future. |

blackpanda: U completely got it wrong. Other countries started looking for alternatives long before the oil meltdown. But our dumb clueless president jonathan kept wasting our resources on his friends and cronies! When the Europeans and Americans were experiencing economic meltdown, jonadumbo and his crew were busy selling crude oil at an average of 100-124 dollars and wasting the money believing that the party will continue. The economy of this country is bad, but it could have been worse, I personally cannot understand how Buhari government have managed to keep this country afloat, even Greece with small population and an endless bail out funds is still in total ruins economically. |

OrlandoOwoh: With the type of youths we have today, some that posted before me, I fear for the future of Nigeria. Is it that they didn't read the OP, but just just jumped into the thread and start calling PMB names because of GEJ's loss?
PMB made reference to 1985 because he was addressing a select people on finance. May I ask, the SAP that the IMF made IBB implement, which devalued the naira, how did it help us? Even undergraduate at the time, without Harvard certificates, knew it was a doom.
Have we asked ourselves, does the IMF/World Bank love us more than ourselves, that they keep telling us what is "good" for us? Most of them did not know why Nigerians voted for Buhari, I choose to vote him because I already knew this country is heading for recession and in a desperate need for a leader who will not allow Nigerians swallow IMFs poisoned asp. Buhari is the reason someone like me still managed to keep my bussines, I am very grateful to him for this. Most of them don't even knows the meaning of currency devaluation, they had better check what happened to Americans in 1929. |

There's no reason to celebrate over something that would not change yours or my life - we would still suffer anyway because global fuel prices hardly reflect on our living standards.
Knowing the people in power they would slack off and remain lazy however I thank God this situation is temporary; our economy must diversify by fire by force. I said it on this forum that the oil price is heading upward and some people were just laughing and jeering at me. https://www.nairaland.com/2948615/buhari-jets-out-saudi-arabia/2The oil price will hit $50 before the end of june, no one is selling crude now, every trader who knows his onions should be buying, waiting patiently for the price to go higher. |

lastpage: Look, the only reason you seldom hear the phrase "Eko o'ni baje" any more is because in REALITY, under Ambode, a lot of things done dey b'aje for Lagos!
Lagosians just dont shout slogans, if they are not seeing and feeling the impact! Lagosians are likely the smartest peeps in Nigeria.
All Ambode does is erect big signboards of himself all over the place, "promising" to start repair work on a Road, he will dig up the road and then abandon it, causing even more hardship to the road users (Go and Check Borno Way in Ebute Metta ...... l dorve past the place in January and then a week ago.)
Insecurity is a huge problem in Lagos, you'll likely get robbed once its after 7pm! Area Boys and Omo-Oni'le are harassing people up and down, at every Junction you drive past! Some of these Criminals will even tell you that The "Government has given them the green-light for their activities" and the Police gives them cover! Even worse are the criminals occupying LGA seats as chairmen/persons! Go and look at all street roads (which falls under their purview)..... its so bad you will think a Tsunami passed by because they just share the LGA allocation and the Governor smiles at them (I know some of these LGA chairs complain quietly about how the Governor and his tin-god at Bourdillon force them to part with a large chunk of their allocation while they loot the rest).
EFCC and other Security agencies must save us from the grip of these Thugs installed as LGA chairs. We want credible people to hold those posts as it is the grass-root and closest arm of Government to the people...... but with the "annointing policy" of APC, how will that happen?
Eko is gradually 'baje-in, if Ambode would not get down to real work ....and stop his frequent night-clubbing activities! I hope he is aware that the Public Water Works have been off for almost five days now, and this wont be the first time under his leadership! It was not this frequent under Fashola.
Anyway, l blame Tinubu for foisting "omo-baba" on APC.... since PDP is a no-go area in Lagos!
Lastpage! Are you sure you are in Lagos?, people living in areas like Oshodi, iyana Ipaja, pleasure abule Egba axis are currently celebrating AMBO. |
