Manutd19: I still don't buy the idea of meeting reports, products, and the J.V plan been posted here on the forum. Stuff like this shouldn't be too open. Just my opinion though. Meetin report should stay with whoever is coordinating it and prolly sent to the lagos coordinators if need be. Why will you be disclosing such vital info to the public when you're still planning to execute. There're guys on here that can easily raise 4m and take off with the idea seen here. As funclub said, him & toluxa doing sometin together.....two other guys who can raise millions can easily steal these blueprints imo.

manie: It depends on the value and duration of the investment. Used to be between 14.5% to 16%, but it is now around 12% to 13%.

Elai147: Yes the intention is to reduce the number of outstanding shares which in turn improves the value of the company's shares in the market but this will not affect the total book value (at present) of those shares. However, share reconstruction in Nigeria can be very unfavourable. I have noticed that the increase in price of the stock after reconstruction is not always sustainable and the price falls steadily, maybe due to market condition. So even if the Directors of the company try to justify the action, investors still see it as a rip-off. In my opinion, share reconstruction of a failed company is a total waste of time and a ripoff to investors because there is already a negative perception of the stock. For example, in 2008 Ecobank did share reconstruction (1 for 3) and my holdings were drastically reduced and the new price could not be sustained. As if that was not enough, in 2011 the parent company (ETI) absorbed Ecobank and performed another share reconstruction (1 ETI share for every 5.16 Ecobank share). At the end, my 70,000 units of Ecobank turned to 4,641 units of ETI. The reconstruction was a failure and a rip-off.

bolayei: Okay i think it's time i come in..why do you guys always think china, all you need is someone that can source things for you.., there are different ways of sourcing things locally in different countries or is this thread limited to only nigerian based? What about people outside nigeria that have lost money from sending things home due to lack of commitment back home they lost money? What about things that sell the minute they open containers? Getting quality tablets,lcds,phones is easy it does not have to be made in china. Getting clothes, jewelleries is easy too it does not have to be made in china.

If i can get a clearing agent that will clear the goods with his own money that will be his investment atleast that way he is seeing what he is investing in.

If i can get people that want things and i source these things with my own money, with the guarantee that they will buy immiediately, i will source the items and when cleared everyone takes what they have ordered.

I am looking for partners in different states to start a franchise...interested partners should have up to 500k and looking for 9 other guys and no one will give anyone money we just play our parts. This investment is one that last 25-30years and it's life changing.
