Omoawoke: He blew up US drone Next day, they declare am an enemy of the world Putin will die before the end of this year Insha Allah
And lizzy my Russian ex, I’d never forget you for breaking my heart. May US rain bombs on your country
Irony is the US that will lead this move has REFUSED to sign the ICC Treaty… 25 years after the Treaty was agreed, and 21 years after the court itself was set up!
I always laugh anytime I see Africans who have repeatedly blamed the west for instability in many countries now supporting this modern day Adolf Hitler
Isn't that hypocrisy? This will further damage his already battered image
First, it is NOT mutually exclusive for the West to destabilize many countries and for Putin to be a war criminal… Nonetheless, if we start to throw around terms like “modern day Adolf Hitler”, how many INNOCENT civilians died from US invasion of Iraq?! >
For avoidance of doubt, I am AGAINST this war started by Putin… But I am also against one rule for America and another rule for everyone else!
The same US that will invariably lead this has REFUSED to sign the ICC Treaty… 25 years after the Treaty was agreed, and 21 years after the Court itself was established!
TristanX: Ogbeni na auto correct do that thing. There's no big deal in spelling "there".
That's the issue with mugus like u. U think anyone who makes such comments I made worships the white man. This is why western Africa is where it is today
I guess if u were Chinese u would have accused the Chinese of worshipping Oyibo, but today look at where they're in their technology
China does NOT measure its worth by how many times Kamala Harris (or any US or Western official) visit China…SMH >
N3TRAL: Kudos to Serie A. The glory of Italian football is returning. For the first time in more than a decade we have 3 Italian teams in the Quarter Finals of the UCL.
I tip Real Madrid, Benfica, Napoli and Manchester City to go through.
Yes. Bayern will not win Manchester City.
Abegi, sorry in advance… But this has become a peeve with Nigerians (even educated ones).
But it’s “Bayern will not BEAT Manchester City”! (Another peeve being it’s NOT “I borrowed him money”, but rather “I lent him money”).
Okay, the language lessons are over now. Enjoy your Friday! >
Perhaps if Samuel Ortom was a Good Governor and Benue economy was booming, Debbie won't be in crowded Lagos
Lagos with not more than 2million indegene caters for 22 million Nigeria with no extra allocation or funding
If the argument is Lagos has seaport,
In just 41 months and with Just $1.75 billion USD Lagos built Ibeju Lekki Deep sea port
Can't any other state access funding of $2billion and build a functional port
New City Development
Downtown Chicago built all infrastructure and skyscrapers in less than 5 years
Dubai UAE, Sharjah and most UAE top city developed in less than 2 decade
China transformations was within 30 years
PS: to the morronns telling me I am insensitive, should we discuss solutions to prevent this as adults or simply say RIP and continue on.
Dubai with not more than 300K indigenes caters for a population of 3.5m, including many Nigerians… Meanwhile, most of those other so-called “non-indigene” Nigerians in Lagos account for a ton of that IGR that APC/BAT brag about.
The BIGGEST investment in Lagos, the Dangote Refinery, is being built by a non-indigene… While some of the biggest employers of labor in Lagos (Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia, Mike Adenuga, etc.) are non-indigenes.
Btw, where did you think the money for projects like Third Mainland Bridge, Festac Town, Tin Can, etc., came from? From the likes of “indigenes” MC Oluomo, the Agbero Peoples Congress, or from the environmental genocide of the Niger Delta?!
PS: Btw, the Lekki Deepsea Port project took about TWO DECADES to be realized… Let’s not even begin with the Fourth Mainland Bridge and Lekki Airport (for which many indigenous villagers have lost their land). >
N3TRAL: Doyin Okupe is facing heavy corruption charges.
Pat Utomi ran prominent banks to the ground.
Olusegun Obasanjo committed documented genocides in Odi in Bayelsa State and Zaki Biam in Benue State as a civilian President. He conducted the worst elections in Nigeria's history.
The three men are "his" most prominent backers and allies outside the South East.
I'm the last Southern Youth whom anyone can deceive that "the movement" has anything to do with positive change.
Exactly! The likes of Ayo Adebanjo, Atedo Peterside (and even Gov Ortom) are all from the South East…smh >
easyfem: im not in support of mc oluomo on dix but ibos wahala too much in lagos , they make this obidient fight hard for us that support obi....
Exactly! How dare they support the candidate(s) of their choice (many of them seemingly the same candidate you CLAIM to “support”) in their own nation and in the state that they pay taxes (10% of which reportedly goes to Alpha Beta btw)?! SMDH >
Afromentalist: Even if we agree with you about his data being estimates, there are still about 60% of his claims that are false. Not good enough.
Classic case of being blinded by the trees and missing the forest… He’s not an accountant, but was trying to make SUBSTANTIVE points about Nigeria’s decline (and the obtuse politicization of ethnicity). >
> BTW, suffice it to point out that the World Bank puts Nigerians’ life expectancy at 55 years while the World Health Organization (WHO) has the same life expectancy of Nigerians as 63 years - because these figures are all ESTIMATES.
Nonetheless, instead of splitting hairs, Nigerians and the Nigerian government should be THOROUGHLY ASHAMED whether the more reliable ESTIMATE (emphasis added because these are actually estimated numbers, not absolutes).
Sadly, so many Nigerians specialize in chasing SHADOWS in derogation of substance! Peter Obi’s SUBSTANTIVE points were that we are headed in the WRONG DIRECTION on multiple fronts, but these lot are apparently celebrating we’re 4th (not Ist) in infant mortality. SMH >
TristanX: No one is seeking validation. Blacks are naturally repugnant. I wish there's a way we can change all that in a blink
Only if you’re speaking about you and your family, but abegi leave the rest of us out of it… Low self-esteemed and inferiority complexed folks looking for Oyibo to pat them on the head. SMH >
reddingtonblack: And i see you belong to those class of people who have no respect or regards for reality you just wan live in delusions ... get well soon
Still suffering from a basic comprehension deficit…smh >
reddingtonblack: So you believe that lies traders alway throw to the media, even a traders whose business is not worth 1million will claim he lose 200million you think govt are foolish. Every trader is claiming they lost goods worth over 10million in the same Akere market we know abi the ones in there dream. Exaggerations
I see you’re one of those who leave substance to chase shadows…abegi, carry on! >
Biodun556: When we say Tinubu doesn't play politics of bitterness people don't believe.
Obasanjo played dirtiest politics in Nigeria. During his civilian rule, a lot of politicians were assassinated, many were stampeded for criticising him.
Tinubu can spend billions to canvass and have his way but in Lagos politics, he and his political party don't victimize opposition but they spend and consult alot
Difference is one does not suffer fools gladly… The other tries to bring everyone else into the big tent of corruption! SMH >
He walked past Tinubu, greeted the person sitting next to him, walked past Tinubu again to leave. Tinubu called him, he walked back to Tinubu, Tinubu graciously stood up to greet him. Saraki shook hands, barely said a word and left hurriedly.
All of this disgraceful and uncivil behaviour by Mr Saraki is because of what...politics
Saraki's behaviour fell well short of the standard to be expected of a reasonable member of society let alone one who has attained the level he has reached.
This sort of behaviour from someone who is supposed to set a good example for the young ones, only serves to endorse the crude, abusive, and uncivilised nature of interactions that now pervades society, especially on social media.
Society is all the worse for it.
Dude, respect has to be EARNED… Unfortunately, in Nigeria, some will dobale even for crooks - and “society is all the worse for it”! > >
Lanrelagboi: Lagos takes care of its own and today I returned to kickoff the redevelopment of the Akere Motor Parts Market in Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA, which was affected by an unfortunate fire incident recently.
I also donated N100 million to the affected traders to ease their pains.
As we move towards the election this Saturday, we must not allow bigotry be what will divide us.
We must watch our utterances and ensure that we are not divisive. It is about the ordinary, everyday people. You own the mandate and it is about you.
Naija! They burn probably over N1b in goods and try to bribe you with N100m…smh >
Greenback: What right does she think she's got to mistreat that maid anyhow she likes?
It's obvious she's been mistreating the maid.
sisisioge: Biko let her return to her base jejely o. Which kind wahala be this?
chatinent: The urine apart, can we advise wives to stop maltreating other people’s children staying with them?
Ahumanbeing: A lot of Nigerian house maids are initiated and possessed. Nigerian mothers should be careful
Invest4growth: Wickedness of the highest order! Thank God she was caught. I.hope she has been sent away to her people to kill them.
queenfav: This is why i don't have a maid. Some women actually want kids but can't do the barest minimum.Have the number of kids you can easily cater to personally.
giftphilips: Since you are doing all your chores by yourself why do u need a maid? Thank God you caught her only God knows what would have happened to ur kids may God guide and protect our kids
First, I am very skeptical of the lady’s truthfulness…
But, important, when are Nigerians going to get rid of the PSUEDO-SLAVERY system of “househelps”? Many of these young girls are the first to wake up in the morning and the last to go to bed, burdened with chores all day long and often only allowed to eat leftovers. Most of them almost always have to work seven days a week, are poorly paid (and most often payment made to relatives rather than to them), often held out of school and used for all manner of child labor, and sadly are often victims of sexual abuse (even from madam’s or Oga’s kids - and if revealed are the ones that are bound to be punished).
If Nigerians are insistent on retaining this abhorrence, it must be drastically REFORMED into something resembling an Au Pair system, with set work hours, time off, regular pay, and (in Nigeria) a guarantee of at least public primary and junior secondary school. It’s the 21st century for goodness sakes, and we can try to pretend joining the rest of the civilized world at some point - which btw is why I tend not to sympathize with Nigerians abroad when they are convicted of “modern-day slavery” on account of mistreating their housemaids. >
