budaatum:It's a simple matter, and the guy has even said so (the highlighted) several times in his book and threads, but some people are incurably foolish. |
Fools are better ignored, left alone to wallow in their folly. |
KnownUnknown:If you know I simply press "Report" to delete silly posts like this without reading them, you'll stop making a fool of yourself by quoting me. |
budaatum:The guy posts foolishly like a person suffering from a leaky brain. |
KnownUnknown:Otem himself may answer you. Since you quoted my post, it's apposite for me to give you a response. Judging by his writings, Otem doesn't believe in the supernatural or juju. He says all things on earth, which is a physical realm, are done physically and psychologically (psychophysically), not spiritually. But he says there are several other realms in existence where entities do things psychospiritually (psychologically and spiritually). According to him, two types of realms are in existence: physical realms (Earth, our Universe generally, and other outer universes) and spiritual realms (inner worlds, inner universes, hells, heavens, and various afterlives made by gods and goddesses worshipped in religions by interacting with the waves in the realms). In other words, no spiritual or supernatural feats or juju exists on Earth. What people call supernatural are simply natural or physical phenomena that defy their understanding, so they see it as juju. It's simply due to their limited knowledge and perception. Advances in science are demystifying many phenomena that were hitherto seen as spiritual or supernatural as natural thibgs. According to Otem, apart from the physical realms like Earth, there are several other realms in existence, which some people accidentally or deliberately enter when their consciousness has been has been tuned through their heartbeat to match the frequency of the realm (altered state of consciousness). The notion of multiple realms in existence is related to the Everett's many world interpretation of Quantum Physics, alternative universe or reality, parallel worlds, or multiverse. You need to do less of posting foolishly and ignorantly and do more of thinking and reading. |
Buliwyf:That's true. But there are also people that believe in juju, voodoo or the supernatural in America. |
melodyogonna:I have thought about what you said. But I don't have any reason to believe the OP is promoting any God or god. What he's simply doing is the same thing philosophers like Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Galileo, Hypatia, Bacon, and the likes had done in the past in Europe to lay the foundation of philosophy and science in the continent. (Though almost all these great thinkers paid with their lives for speaking the truth about religion.) The only difference is that Otem uses the Internet to spread his own teachings and wants to be unknown, unlike those figures. He promotes use of the scientific methods and urges people to shun religion, superstition, and dogma. He wants to connect Nigerians and Africans back to their roots (the ancient pagan gods but not to worship them). According to him, his grandfather had been sent by Atum and other African pagan gods to the Earth in the Homo Erectus era, which lasted for about 2 million years, for the same mission, but the philosopher was later killed by the Christians. His grandfather then completed his mission in the old world and brought about an end to Christianity and Islam and connected Africans back to their roots. It's very possible that if many of the claims of Otem turn out to be true, some humans with a low thinking faculty will start worshiping him as God in the future instead of using their brain, even though he has discouraged people from worshipping any god or God. To prevent this, he says he wants to remain unknown till he completes his book. To the best of my knowledge, Otem doesn't seek to create a new religion or cult, but then people can form a religion around anything, even things as simple as a stone. |
melodyogonna:When it comes to whether God exists or not, I'm agnostic. But Otem says he knows God or the Source or the First Cause and calls it Domino Reverad or Angali Mirosh (AM), a Seriot term meaning Creator of the gods or simply God. Seriot is the language introduced by the OP, which he claims to be an ancient language spoken by the gods and goddesses and died long, long ago when these higher beings left this planet to explore other parts of the universe. While I don't know or believe in God, I find the OP's conception of God very deep and very reasonable. If God exists, I think his explanation of it looks closer to the truth or is the truth, especially since this God, according to him, is not a person, but a great source of energy that has no particular form or religion. As regards the existence of Jesus, he's nothing but a fictitious character invented by the Rome. Everything about Jesus Christ is controversial, showing he's not a real person. I don't need to watch any video to know that fact. The so-called video has a Roman connection, the same people that invented the character. Such a video can't contain anything like truth. It's like saying you found a video related to a past Saudi ruler to prove Allah is the one true God. If a person as great as Jesus really existed, his history would have been clearly documented by contemporary historians of his time. But you can't find such. According to the OP, the character of Jesus was invented using the history of a black man from ancient Africa, a homo erectus (a giant) called Faulkin or Yeshua or Ieusus Krista, who was born to a goddess, called Gaia or Earthus or Mother Earth from a place around Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania — the origin of humanity (the consensus/dominant fact in archeology and paleontology). That looks like the truth or closer to the truth, especially considering the fact that tons of fossils have been discovered by archeologists in that place, showing that the region in Africa is the cradle of humankind. |
Buliwyf:Has anyone been able to win the more popular challenge on Wikipedia that has been there for years, offering a greater reward? I'm sure we both know the answer: no one. |
https://www.nairaland.com/3780438/eta-ntagba#56218120 To all the naysayers: tell me how a mere mortal can write something so great as this or reveal a new language with fascinating semantics and lexicons. |
melodyogonna:It doesn't matter. If you had taken your time to read the thread or the book, the question would have been unnecessary. |
melodyogonna:Okay. |
melodyogonna:There's nothing interesting or intelligent about this question. If you had actually gone through the thread, you'll see there's little sense in the highlighted. How is the OP establishing another god? Is it Atum, who was already worshipped long ago by ancient Egyptians, that he just wants to establish now as if he's a new god? Or is it Otem, a freethinker who says that each human is a god or goddess and that each person should be his/her own god and shouldn't worship any god? Which god did Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Francis Bacon, Hypatia, and the likes establish with their writings? All these are philosophers that toed the same path of brain-using as Otem, who I even rate much higher than all of them because his sources (Atum and co) taught and inspired many of the philosophers above. The OP will address your question anyway if he wants, even though your answer lies in this thread. OtemAtum, please answer my question above. Then, did you deliberately prefer no to provide the answer that the guy on the other thread seeks, even though your book already explains the concept in detail?

Capaldi:Lols. Also, there are still people that believe in the flat-earth theory in this day and age. |

InvestorO:VVD is an overhyped traffic warden. He's no doubt a good defender, but not great as his fans say. |
Havertz10:You obviously don't the meaning of the word, legend. To achieve a legendary status in club football, a player needs talent, consistency, and longevity. Those three factors are crucial, and Havertz hasn't met any of them yet. |
Dtruthspeaker:You must be delusional to think I'd waste my precious time reading this nonsense of a post. |
Dtruthspeaker:Stop thinking like a toddler. A fictitious character already saved you from what in particular? Himself? You said the saving has already been done, yet charlatans like you admonish people online and offline daily to give their life to Jesus Christ and be saved from eternal damnation in hell. The same hell created by the satanic god you worship. Can you see how senseless your post is and the whole Christian doctrine? It all sounds childish. |

BlueMann:I would like the Brazilian defender to join Chelsea in January. He can be a good replacement for Silva. |

Trevor012:While I'm not an animal rights activist, this is a highly fallacious post. Many ethicists have berated the use of animals for research purposes. Numerous papers have been written discussing the problem, with the authors providing alternatives to the use of animals for research. Here's a good example of such studies: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1319016413001096 The alternatives recommended include the use of computer models (simulations), the use of invertebrates, and others. Besides, I think with more scientific understanding of consciousness and death, it might be possible to transfer consciousness from one organism to the other in the future. It's also within the realm of possibility scientifically to bring back a dead organism or animal back to life. In cryonics, the field which deals with deep-freezing dead people, over 1000 corpses have been kept in cryogenic facilities in various places with the hope that breakthroughs in the science of consciousness in the future will help bring back these people to life. https://www.cnet.com/pictures/frozen-in-time-inside-alcor-life-extension-the-facility-preserving-the-dead-through-cryonics/ https://www.theatlantic.com/video/index/591979/cryonics/ Already, different theories have been postulated to model consciousness scientifically, with the studies involving collaboration of physicists with neuroscientists and brain surgeons. Thus, some scientists are working to find better alternatives to the use of animals for experimentation. But currently, researchers have to kill animals for testing as a necessary evil. |
PastorAIO:I have resolved the issue. Thanks, sir. |
Amoto94:Lols. You're mentioning the Qur'an when discussing with me as if the book has any value or use to me. You clearly don't understand what freethinking is all about if you think I have to invent my own ideas to be regarded a freethinker. I don't rely on anyone's ideas. My approach to any ideas or claims is simple: the author or proponent of any notion or claim has to provide evidence to back their claim for me to take it as true. Then, no freethinker or philosopher relies solely on their own ideas. Highly accomplished freethinkers develop the ideas of other great people further and add their own ideas to create something new. That's why the greatest physicists and mathematicians of this world stand on the shoulders of giants to develop their own theories and theorems. Achieving such laudable feats takes time and dedication. |
hupernikao:The answers to your questions have already been provided in the book. If interested, get it and educate yourself. But if reading is a problem for you, then I can't help you. |
Amoto94:Lols, you're funny. Calling me names is like pouring water into a basket. I don't know where I claimed to be an epitome of anything. I see your imagination is working overtime. With all your so-called education, you don't know the meaning of the word, slavery. That's why I said the other day that people like you are only schooled, not educated. Otem, your nemesis, is one of the authors I consider their works seminal, but I don't agree 100% with the claims of any author and don't follow any philosophy blindly. Soon, you'll slam your head on the floor to worship the local imported moongod of Arabia, Allah, being his slave. Yet, I, being a freethinker, worship no one and don't believe in any god. Apart from meditation, which I do almost every day, the bulk of my time is devoted to my work and the research in my field. No time to waste on any useless god. |
hupernikao:The book is very much related to the OP. This is because the author did a detailed analysis of the concept of coincidence in the book. Coincidence is the central idea of the post, and in the literature, he gave what can be called a scientific model explaining how prayers (wished) are sometimes answered through the power of coincidence, a force of nature. I find the model, which is based on the concept of interference (constructive and destructive interference) in Physics, fascinating. The work is simply a masterpiece. |
Amoto94:One million vitriolic words can't move a strand of hair on my skin. When you're knowledgeable enough by researching the histories of your religion and your god, Allah, you'll realize there's little sense in all your posts about religion, when many of the concepts in Islam have their roots in paganism. But the major issue you've is that you know very little about animistic religions predating Islam, just like you're very ignorant about the history of your native land. Well, you see yourself as an Arab anyway like most African Muslims, but an Arab will consider it an insult to be called a Nigerian. Inferiority complex is deeply ingrained in the psyche of African slaves that don't know their history and the history of the continent.
|
Amoto94:It's not just enough for the whites to campaign verbally against racism. They're not doing enough to repair the great damages they did to Africa, which is the origin or cradle of humanity. Many Western countries, especially the Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Portugal need to toe the path of Germany and repatriate all stolen funds, bronzes, and artifacts plundered from Africa. These stolen items have yielded billions of dollars for the Western countries and are highly valuable, but they managed to convince our forefathers that the artifacts and bronzes are evil and demonic. Interestingly, modern-day Africans still regard these valuable historical items as demonic and evil. This is because they've been brainwashed by the whites and Arabs to despise their culture, yet the Africans would sing the praises of Muhammad, fictitious Jesus, Moses, Solomon, who Africans didn't descend from and aren't related to. It's folly to revere the prophets of the Bible and Qur'an and demonize Ogun, Ifa, Amadioha, and the local deities in your area, who were great people that existed in the past and deified for their great feats or heroic acts. It's also folly to regard tasbih and rosaries with respect, but demonize cowries and beads that traditionalists use to meditate and connect with their ancestors, just like the white Christians and the Arab Muslims use the rosaries to meditate in prayers and connect with Allah and Jehovah, their ancestors.

). While it doesn't necessarily promote any god, it introduces one who is supposedly higher than the ones we know already, and the message repeatedly try to cast them as fake, malicious, and evil (hard to argue against sha, especially the ones Christians and Muslims worship). I don't know what you think, or if you've thought about it but this thread has created a new god and actively promotes it (albeit indirectly) as the almighty, just like every other religion.
