It was awesome yesterday in Abuja to see Majek back to life amidst the media at a press conference organised by 911 management. Big thanks to High Chief Ayiri Emani for taking full responsibility of Majek's Rehabilitation,all expense paid. Today we declare no more fund raising on behalf of Majek. Thanks to Monica who also flew in from the States to attend the conference,thanks to Pupa Blackrice for volunteering his time to stay by Majek. I WAS AROUND ORANGE ROOM THAT DAY. it was a sad event ACCORDING TO EYE WITNESS the SUSPECTS owed #140,000.00 and paid #100,000.00 and wrote a check of 40K, but the management refused to accept the check so the bouncer started doing his job. the gun was never in the club with them, it was in his (suspect) car. the suspects shot a warning shot but i guess the bouncer stood his ground, what do u get when someone is intoxicated and having a gun, "person go die". my sympathize go to the family of the deceased. it is said that some of the suspects friends at the club were cut by the security men.

OK. After looking closely, I see one dark hole (with burns around it) right on the left side of the chest (from the front, that will be right side). That's an instant death shot right there. And it appears there are burns around the entry hole because it was at very close range. So I suspect the shooter and the victim tussled before the shooter got the upper hand. That would explain 4 shots but only one bullet wound.

The shot was right in his heart. Very small hole but obviously deadly. Poor man died so fast his eyes did not close. Very sad. Life!

Hello Everyone

Let me start by saying this is not an opportunity to judge or criticize my decisions or lack of it there of. I would also try to be as open and forthcoming as possible regarding all information to help you offer any opinions either from personal experience of inferred ideas.

I already have a direction am inclined to lean towards but its not set in stone and am very much open to ideas from others (I actually welcome it as i like to be thorough and get all the information i can have before making decisions)

I was recently offered a position in Nigeria due to start in a month at the latest however i am currently rounding off a research program in the united states (6 months to finish). The prospective employer will not defer the position till i finish in 6 months time. I had interviews with the vice president of the company when i was in Nigeria last year and a couple of other interviews but i guess due to the instability of the economy (elections and all), the offer never materialized till now. i consider the offer a place to start and while I cant be specific about the exact figure here, its upwards of 250k/month after Tax.

Before you make your decisions based on the offer or my current academic situation, here is a little about me. I have a BSc (Nigeria), MSc (Uk) and MEng (USA).... All in engineering (so i wont consider the figure impressive however its not an entry position and that is my basic pay so there are other benefits). i have paid work experience in the Uk and US and took up an unpaid work experience in an Oil & gas servicing company in Nigeria for about 6 months. needless to say i am well educated but without enough experience in my chosen field and this offer hopes to fill that void.

if you also want to ask why am i not eager to come back to Nigeria? the economy seems fairly unstable now, Iran deal is sure to devastate the oil sector further and destabilize the Nigerian economy even more for those that understand the vicissitudes of the Iran deal. I do have access to getting residency papers in the USA which will coincide with the time i finish my research or a few months after without doing anything shady or sinister (most of my family are here anyway). I am also fully aware that with or without papers, jobs are not automatic any where but you will agree with me that its a little easier abroad than in Nigeria. a good example is the current offer i am considering where i still needed an introduction to setup the interviews and even though i did all the grunt work, i wont have even gotten in the door without knowing someone. The company as a matter of policy does not even advertise positions.

A little about the company: international company with huge investment portfolio in the millions of dollars, where its based should not be important but its on the island. cant reveal more than that about the company.

I like your honesty about how you went about the application process. Makes for a smoother read than those who would come for advice conveniently leaving out how they got there in the first place. Forgetting people would learn if they were more forthcoming.
And I think you should finish your programme. 250k is not really worth abandoning what you're doing for. What about the opportunities this research work would open up.When will you get such a chance to embark on that type of program again?

Jobs come and go. You can even buy one if you know the right people at the right places. Or get one for free even if you arent qualified as has been happening (annoying I know).
But the knowledge you are gaining now cannot be bought.

Since you have links in the company, you might even get a higher offer and higher pay in future.

I was in a bus going home by 9:45pm, suddenly i noticed this girl crying behind me, but hiding her feelings, passengers were alighting at their various bus stop but dis girl never make attempt of coming down, suddenly her phone rang and she picked, their conversation goes:

after some few minute, i still notice her crying
I apologise for intrude, and ask if she can speak with me which she concur, we both alighted at my bus stop. i took her to d nearest bar, i bought her malt to cool her self.
after long conversation she made me realize that she is staying with her sister but her husband sister is trying to have carnal knowledge of her but she refused which turn to wahala. now the sister husband is beating his wife and threatening to do the thing with dis girl by force.
now she has run away from house to her older sister(they are not in good terms since demise of their mom) house (far from where she is staying) for a week but the sister she is staying with has been calling her to bring her money because she is selling for her.
1. she dont want to tell her sister whats her husband is trying to do
2. she cant go home because of her sister husband.
she doesn't know any where to sleep so as to meet her sister the second day to give her the money and don't know if to continuing staying there, and if she will be staying what should be her action.
i have to lodge her in a nearby hotel so as to meet her tomorrow morning to discuss way out because its already late by 11:45pm, i will go and meet her tomorrow, please what can i advice her to do. thanks.

A 100level OND student, a friend, I got to know her tru my ex. She stays with d sister @ onitsha, but the sisters husband takes care of her education. Now the guy man wan lash this babe, on a normal, its not a big deal for her as she has a BF. The problem is that, she can not Bleep the sisters husband (it so shameful for her). How could she look the sister in the face knowing fully well wat has been hapening behind her? With all these, she refused, and d guy man told her that she is on her own. She could not tell d sis on the fear of breaking her home or causing wahala.








She is not aware that I am saving her skul fees as we are not that close, will only watch as things unfold to know if I will or not pay. I just want her to finish with ND 1st then she is on her own.






Btw, I ve not slept with her, I am not planning to, Nene, told me about her, I decided on my own to help, Nene is not even aware that I want to help. So make una take am easy as una wan bash me.
